On their website they give recommended weight ranges for each stabiliser, taking into account the shot feel you like. It's apparent you like a "crisp" reaction with very minimal movement after the shot. So for the Ultra for example, they recommend up to 3 ounces to get that reaction. Also remember that the tungsten powder is at the weight end and also "counts". So the weight you had on was far, far above what they recommend. So your findings are actually 100% consistent with their marketing as only the Beast can handle your weight for a crisp reaction according to their numbers. Awesome content!

No the ultra can hold up to 13 not 3 all of their stabilizers are built for a lot of wight except the ultra the vector can hold up to 30 ounces and Steve wijler shots 27 on the back and the beast is up to 50 ounces

@@yuvallankri73043 ounces is ramrods’ recommendation for a “crisp” shot reaction on the ultras. it is true you can go up to more weight for the ultra but that will make the reaction softer/floppier, which is obviously not what jake prefers but maybe some out there do.

Interesting as always! I remember in the early 2000 where shooters used everything from oil, sand, glass beads, water, silicon with lead weights inside the stabilizers for dampening. The problem with sand/glass beads is that it grinds with every shot. So you loose the vibration dampening with every shot you shoot. In the end it becomes a single mass. You had to change the sand/glass to keep the dampening. Oil/water often started leaking. I’ve heard of manufacturers in the 70’s that used mercury in wooden bows to get them heavier. Not so much for dampening but getting them more stable.

Great video Jake. Would be great to see how vibrations can be reduced with dampeners and how to set up a stabilizer as an advance tuning episodes about stabiliziers.

    Brilliant video as always.
Wondering what your opinions are on Balkann stabilisers (they are almost identical to the famous Beiter stabilisers) and the Fuse Blade ES stabilisers - I've got the choice of a good deal on two sets second hand, so if you or any any other viewers have experience of these systems, your input would be greatly appreciated.

I shot my highest outdoor scores with the K2V2, weirdly enough.
Btw here's hoping you hit 100k subs soon, Jake!

Thanks for the video. I want to know if you have a Revel stabilizer from shrewd and an ultra stabilizer from ramrods, Which is weaker? I was using Revel and found it swaying and distracting when I rise my bow and begin drawing.

Thanks for the info, nice to know that there are spine graded stabilizers, that is new to me but it makes all the sense. By the way, what are you shooting at? I did not hear the arrow impact. I have to assume that there is a window to an outside target or the microphone is very directional.
In order to measure vibration it would be nice to have a sensor, to get exact data. The Mantis X8 could probably be used if we could acces to the raw data in order to graph it out linearly over time (without the spatial position data) to se which setup has the best damping.
I just did a quick search and found out that there is a thing called "BBC Microbit" which is a very tiny device, for experimenting end educational purposes, it is programable and among many other things, it measures movement via accelerometers and is very inexpensive.
    Thanks again for this information

The x8 just isn’t powerful enough to do so.
Accelerometers in the order of thousands of dollars are the only way…

I like the red white and blue wall hanger. Careful though, the anti American newcomers might not like it. But us normal people see your love for your country. Good for you...good for all who actually matter.

Are there anti-USA people on this channel? Hope not that seems needlessly rude.
I get jake might have russled some jimmys with his review of the not Hoyt riser, but he’s allowed to love his country.
Besides the flag design on risers looks great, although maybe it’s jealousy talking but I’d love to see some more flag designs from other countries but that’s Hoyts call.
