hey filicity im going to kinshasa on Wednesday, I've heard its dangerous for gringos , what do you have to say about that ? plus what local markets do you recommend for cigarettes and souvenirs
Sandip, as an international you will pay $700-$1000 just for rent. And that's the cheapest. Schools will be at least $2500 a year. Fuel will cost you at least $250. You will need to hire a driver and a cleaner. That's another $250-$300 for their salariés. Food is quite expensive compared to India. So no, $1000 is not enough if you come with a family.
@@CongoTalks243 Seriously, you think $1000 is enough for an international to live off in Kinshasa with a family?! Pay rent, hire a driver, a cleaner, pay for schools, fuel, food - and all that with just $1000? Pity that a shit hole like Kinshasa costs that expensive, but we have to be honest to people and not scam them for some unknown reasons.

Yes, I’d imagine so but it mainly depends on your lifestyle and sometimes on your city of residence too.
