Going through this right now.
I can clearly remember the car journey where I knew it wasn't working and we would be best to part... But at the same time, looking back now I see nothing but love, happiness and good times.
She now posts pics of with her new guy and I find myself mourning what I had... But I KNOW, that I didn't want it while I was there.

So true about the perfect partner. Doesn't exist and will lead to the downfall of any type of relationships. To me you do not understand anyone until you go through some challenges with them. To me anyone, at least I hope enjoys a good time or an outing. That person could be anybody in my opinion. It cannot be anybody when challenges either in your own life or theirs come into play. That is when all the qualities of a human should come into to play like empathy, caring, attitude, and sacrifice come in to play. I have been guilty of idealizing a partner only to realize that it puts that person and the relationship on a false sense of reality that sooner or later will collapse. Very good video Alexis.
