Hey Kent, My name is Troy Farris I am 57 yrs old, and like you I love to camp! To just get away from everything and enjoy nature,and the reason I am writing this is because 4 months ago I found out I had cancer, I was feeling so much agony in my lower back that I finally went to the hospital and they said that I had lumps that were against my spine and it was pushing against the nerves. They did surgery and I went thru the chemo , but it was hard and agonizing.but one day my sister came to the hospital to see me and she told me about your videos and so I watched them and the whole time I watched them I didn't feel the pain. Watching you brought back so many good camping memories.so that is why I'm writing this,to say to you,thank you from the bottom of my heart thank you for helping someone not feel pain and be at piece and be happy. And buy the way I'm cancer free!!!!

Right, I’ve learned lots from these blokes. I feel pretty confident I could survive out in the woods. Bears still bother me but if I was in the woods I’d have certain items with me…Fire starter, sleeping bag, wood saw, bear bell, bear spray, pistol.
AllI need is $3,000-5,000 in equipment, a truck with a tent on top and lots of practice.

Im fairly certain when he was cooking them, and singing his "pancakes, makin bacon pancakes" song, that was a reference to a cartoon from about a decade ago, where this jovial talking dog with magic powers cooks bacon pancakes while singing that song. I'm not saying that's where he got the idea to make them here, but that was the first time I'd heard of the concept 😂
I’m from the Netherlands, and we eat pancakes like this often. The best combination is pancake, bacon, cheese, pineapple, salted butter and brown sugar. 😃

Well done, Andy. My parents came from Hong Kong to start a takeaway here in the UK back in the late 70s. A job well done, mate. I worked in the shop for about 13 years and finally moved on to work in the NHS as a nutritionist but I still remember all of the smells from the dishes that we made. There aren't that many of us first or second generation Chinese immigrants anymore, we're all old fogies by now. Wishing you all the best with your channel and your viewers a happy new year ❤️

I found your channel a few days ago and have been binge watching you ever since! I just saw one you made two years ago where you didn't talk at all. I'm glad you decided to start talking to us! (Americans love a British accent!) And, I'm learning a lot. You're so adventurous, especially with all the cold and rain. As I'm from Florida, I'm amazed at your tolerance for cold mornings before the fire's started and the coffee's made!

Have binge watched over the last couple of months and really enjoying your adventures to the point of looking at trips with my son during spring/summer. What I would say is the food you make is better than half the cooking channels on here!

I’ve just recently started watching wild camping vids and forgot how much we enjoyed our trips with mum n dad in the Scottish highlands 😊 but that was many moons ago, I’m 63 now and it’s caravans, cottages and lodges now, but….you never know lol😅

9:30 love the table .. fun fact: decades ago, for a small time, I sold cars. The training vid we were shown for our SUV model was taking the p&ss out of Ford because their back hatch opened sideways, whereas ours lifted like yours. They were making out like it was the greatest design feature ever incorporated - a 'spare room' / instant awning. I've never forgotten this and every time I see you standing under your hatch I lol.😂

What’s the process when you come back from a camp and have to dry everything out and put it all away? I think there’s an interesting vid in that if you haven’t done one already. You made a variation of bacon froize (aka bacon fraise). When we do a cooking demonstration with this variation, we put the bacon in small pieces. It uses more of the batter and makes the finished product easier to dip. It's also really good for putting into a takeaway carton and eating in the car if one's running late in the morning.

Very fitting video. As I am watching, it is unseasonably cold here on the Texas Coastal Plains. (The Houston area close to the Gulf Of Mexico.) There is usually not much winter here. My feet are cold so I feel like I am there with you. More or less. Very enjoyable video. Always entertaining. Thank you!

That set up would be great for off road drivers to use in case they get stuck. Add some food and wood, and they could wait until they can dig out or be rescued.
Thanks for sharing the experience. I find your videos very relaxing and it brings back memories of my childhood with my father. We were a big camping family when I was young. My grandfather led a trip with boy scouts from Milwaukee Wisconsin to Yellowstone National Park in 1928. I am fortunate to have some of the pictures of that trip. Back then there were no paved roads to get there on. That trip back then took over 2 weeks to get there. You can drive it in under 2 days now.

Had a friend in High school once who would go out on camping / hunting trips with his dad & His dad would throw seeds on the ground around the area they frequented & didn't think too much of it. Later on in mid summer they went back out to the spot & there were loads of peppers & tomatoes growing out on their site. He went out hunting but returned with several pounds of vegetables.
