      Brandy Crystal
Because i don't think that she's part of the very best female singers... but that's just my opinion of course... i know London Grammar since their 1st lp...i think they're good but not to the point to be impressed... There's so many singers these days that bein' at the very top is a nearly impossible task... it's too subjective anyway... How to compare different style of singing ? i think it's nearly absurd to compare different styles & musicalgenres and put them in a sort of spirit of competition...
      I hear potential in L.G. ... that's all i ask for...

i have shivers. she is not only so technically skilled and has such stunning, gentle control over her voice, but i can also hear the emotion and vulnerability in her voice, the slight tremble at the end of her notes, the parts where she eases into notes so gently, the slight texture of her voice. she sounds so human, and i think that's what i love most about her and this song. it's perfect, yes, but not so stringent as to be without movement and life and a certain human delicacy. thank you for this, for reminding me that a good singer can be human and vulnerable and dynamic, that it's not just about hitting the right notes with perfect pitch and tone, that you can have all those things, but still keep that sense of human hesitance and rawness. i needed that.

    [Verse 1]
    Let winter break
Let it burn 'til I see you again
I will be here with you
Just like I told you I would
I'd love to always love you
    But I'm scared of loneliness
When I'm, when I'm alone with you
    [Chorus]
    I know it's hard
    Only you and I
    Is it all for me?
Because I know it's all for you
    And I guess, I guess
It is hell, you are the only thing I've ever truly known
So, I hesitate, if I can act the same for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you
    [Verse 2]
    And where did she go?
    Truth left us long ago
And I need her tonight because I'm scared of loneliness with you, baby
And I should let it go
But all that is left is my perspective, broken and so left behind again
    [Chorus]
    I know it's hard
    Only you and I
    Is it all for me?
Because I know it's all for you
    And I guess, I guess
It is hell, you are the only thing I've ever truly known
So, I hesitate, if I can act the same for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you

Hannah is one of the few artists with severe stage fright. They’ve also (as a band) been able to push back and tell recording companies and tour management no so she can regularly let her vocal chords heal. After their first album she had real issues with it. Looks like she was wise to do it the way she is.

I had the privilege of watching them live in September, 2017, they started their show with this song. The moment Hannah began singing, you could hear a pin drop in the audience... every single individual in the crowd was completely mesmerised by her voice. That is incredible. To be able to silence 1000 people in that way. Hannah's voice along with the band's ability to craft music with such emotional intensity and depth is almost surreal, and her voice is even more magical live.

    Let winter break
Let it burn 'til I see you again
I will be here with you
Just like I told you I would
I'd love to always love you
    But I'm scared of loneliness
When I'm, when I'm alone with you
    I know it's hard
    Only you and I
    Is it all for me?
Because I know it's all for you
    And I guess, I guess
It is only, you are the only thing I've ever truly known
So, I hesitate, if I can act the same for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you
    And where did she go?
    Truth left us long ago
And I need her tonight because I'm scared of loneliness with you, baby
And I should let it go
But all that is left is my perspective, broken and so left behind again
    I know it's hard
    Only you and I
    Is it all for me?
Because I know it's all for you
    And I guess, I guess
It is only, you are the only thing I've ever truly known
So, I hesitate, if I can act the same for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you
And my darlin', I'll be rooting for you

I innocently put my freshly unpacked CD at work, headphones on. At the middle of the first chorus of the first song, this one, I had to find some discrete way to wipe the tear I had been fighting. Touched. Wherever this pristine drop of beautiful music came from, it was an excellent idea for you, London Grammar, to let it out. Thanks!

I admit I got so fed up with pop music I stopped listening, then I stumbled across LG and cant believe they have been going for 4 odd years and never heard of them.
So glad I have,Hannah's voice is ethereal ,as are their arrangements ,but its not pop in the accepted sense ,it's an experience of a higher dimension in vocal and musical arrangements..so refreshing and uplifting..

+Lauriane Ordon - I'm a grown man who listens predominantly to rock and some house/electronic, and for the past two hours, I've been obsessing over this band's videos. When she hit those high notes, INSTANT reaction and I'm still here, minutes later, drying my eyes...
No doubt you've already seen it, but if you like this song, the live version of this song on WFUV is even better than this one. To call it incredible still feels like I'm doing it a great disservice...
