I think this song is about how painful it is when people lie to you no matter how much they're close to you and how much you trust them. It hits me hard and I can relate on a deep level because no matter how much the truth could hurt, it is still better than being lied to. The truth is truly a beautiful thing.

When I first heard them on the radio the other day I thought they were from the late 80s / early 90s.
Its a great band but they are very mainstream which doesn't mean nothing bad , on the contrary im very glad so much people have chance to listen to them . Mainstream is variety of factors , on example their record label is Sony Music UK which is one of the largest in the world and which also sings Bullet for my Valentine,Beyonce and etc.
I think Rami was referring to their output not being done as a lazy cash grab but being made with heart as proper art.
I.E. the album isn't 90% filler
But they have a song with Disclosure
The kind of music you need to listen to with headphones on high volume with your eyes closed

Why can’t humans just be honest, about themselves and what they do? Talk and say what they feel. My father died a month ago, after 23 years that we hadn’t seen each other, he decided to leave this world and not even tell me he was dying, not even say goodbye, say why he never reached out for me. I just can’t understand it.
London Grammar and more specifically: Hannah’s voice is the only voice that can make me “soft” and cry all of my emotional burdens from the inside out. Today I listened to this song and the lyrics hit me hard, because I had to let go of something.

London Grammar are one of those rare bands that stand out from all others...they are truly unique, and hugely talented and l know they will grow and keep getting better and better. Also Hannah not only looks like an angel she sings like one to...So refreshing to see such talent in straight forward videos and not having to prance around half naked ...London Grammar I salute you just awesome.......

Discovering their new album came at a tough time in my life and whilst these songs hurt me a little more as I heal, they also give strength. What a truly unique band. A blessing. Every single song on all 3 Albums are absolutely beautiful and touch my heart in ways nothing else can but my god this one makes me feel my emotions In ways I can't explain. I cry like a baby every single time I hear this.
Truth is Hannah has one of the most beautiful voices in the world.
The truth is beautiful! It's slightly different for everyone, but I think at the root of it all, we all just want to be loved (totally snagged that from Grey's Anatomy). I walked through lots of different opinions for years and found that the most beautiful way to feel at peace by connecting with others is to simply listen uncritically and unconditionally, as well as laugh unjudgementally. It may not solve world hunger or the AIDS crisis, but it can prevent lots of other injustices by simply feeling content with who we are :) Like everyone else; looking forward to this album too!

The start of this sounds like Solar Fields with those synths, then in with some Olafur Arnalds style piano. That echo on hannah's voice is Slowdive inspired. Every member of London Grammar is at the top of their game. It's just incredible.

London Grammar produce music that is sure to join the hall of fame and live eternal for future generations to enjoy and have therefore been added to my lifelong listening collection alongside Pink Floyd, REM, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, The Jam, Blondie...........all those legends that will outlive all of us.

Went to see these guys live in Belfast and holy crap i fell in love with her voice and how much it compliments the music. This song was so stunning as were the others but the way she sings this gives me chills down my spine.I simply cannot put into words how in awe i am of this music. I love the fact that it is so different from the other songs on this album and it really stands out for me. always have and will be a fan of these guys. Easily my favourite artists

I love this~ and like someone said below it's like a one-sided relationship. For 14 years I was married to a Covert Narcissist and seemed to be trapped in my body...with only myself to talk to. I wanted to know him on the deepest levels, he kept me on his surface and it was so painful. Looking back I see now he had no depth to dive into, or at least his depths were so dark and depraved that he couldn't let anyone near it....
The soul of me, for that time, was almost waisted. It almost broke me. But God ❤️
I am free and now in a relationship with a man who sees the depths of my soul and delights everyday in knowing me more~ and he has an overwhelming depth as well and let's me in to explore all of him delightfully.
