You fool! The Oppenheimer film and GxAce videos are art-less, meaningless trash created by people with the aesthetic sensibility of a wet sponge! The Barbie movie on the other hand -- move aside Shakespeare, Kubrick, Velázquez because there is TRUE ART that speaks to the human condition on so many highly significant levels!
Ace I just wanted to let you know that I found you about a year ago and I've watched every video since. I don't have a dedicated camera and probably wont for many many years, but I absolutely love your videos. Almost every video you put out makes me feel a bit emotional, I actually feel like crying sometimes. Thats how good of a film maker you are. I wish you had the resources/desire to make a movie, I think it would be fantastic.
Thank you for re inspiring me to get into photography again. Your videos have motivated me to shoot similar images and through this process I’ve learnt so many new things I never even heard of before. Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re a rare gem in the vast world of the UA-cam algorithm.
The whole production behind these videos is just amazing, I watch them with full focus because they're just so captivating. Fully engaging my attention and senses, which is rare these days.
No, they are not, because the still PHOTOGRAPHY in them is poor, weak, insubstantial and does not stand on it's own. Therefore the production lacks integrity, is false, and lacks integrity. It's the form of propaganda we know as advertisement. You are cued up by the music to not SEE, a really unfortunate, though common, error. You have only an average eye.
@@johnsmith1474 Interesting. Could you elaborate? I'm a film scholar myself so I know a lot about persuasive cinematic tools. GxAce is clearly forming a more stylized content signature than many other photographers on UA-cam, and I think it would be a poor choice of words to call it " poor, weak, insubstantial" just because the production is heightened by music or narrative. Besides, people have different tastes in photos.
The original Q was a dream camera for me since around it's release, which is when I first learned about Leica as well. I was finally able to find a good enough deal on a used Q to justify to cost about 6 months ago; and the camera is everything I dreamed it would be. It rarely leaves my side, and I will likely never let it go.
28mm gang for life GX. I don’t have thousands to put towards a Leica but a few months back i got myself a Ricoh GRIII. Fantastic little camera. I’d love to see you review it sometime.
Sometimes i loose the drive going out making photos. Every single time i watch your videos i‘m hyped again. Thanks for your work, it‘s insanely good! Greetings from germany
I bought the Q when it was first released years ago; and it has been a charm. I too would crop post when needed. When the cash flow picks up, I will definitely trade up to the Q3. I had a day when my cap kept falling off on a walk; so, I bought a foam cap that covers most of the lens: and this seams like a natural solution. The foam goes in my pocket, and then it is stiff enough that it slides right on, and protects most of that magnificent lens. You are the best! ❤
I've watched about 6 of your videos over the past 2 years and your photography, audio design, and story telling is great. Every time I watch I'm taken on a journey with room for breath. Refreshing compared to the break-neck speed of most UA-camrs. Thank you for risking potential clout for true artistic potential. I feel like it could use more tonal shifts as the length of the video becomes draining.
Man, this is the most maxed camera review I've ever seen. I'm blown away by this. Immediate Sub! Also I have two song recs I think you'll like: Vetiver by Healion, Ex-Terrestrial, Priori Colour Dance Behind the Eyelids - Tom VR

Some cameras you love some you... obsess over. This Q3 is quite perfect! Anyone who isn't part of the Patreon for GXACE... what are you waiting for... tibfox, you aced it!
I've been following this mantra since I got my a6300. I got a 30mm f1.4 lens, and that's all I need. Forcing myself to work with only a prime lens has drastically improved my composition.
I would love to see a video featuring the edixa reflex camera. They're one of the most beautiful, unique, and historic film cameras in many people's eyes.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a new GxAce video on my feed. Perfect as always, and makes me want to book a plane to anywhere I can get lost with a camera.
I want to lick the screen, and scratch at it until I can paint myself onto these images, intermingle with them, smell the smells and haunt the shadows ever wanting to taste a little more of this world.
Awesome video and music, honestly, I'd watch hundreds of videos like this with no talking and all visuals/vids/music. This is David Fincher level quality.
Insane work as always you never miss. Keep up the good work GxAce, you always inspire and motivates me to take my camera out of my shelf to do some photos. Your the reason i still love photography as a hobby rather than a job.
Huge props for all your cinematic masterpieces! Even the photos are looking like stills from a movie. Insane. I've bought a M10P last year, because I wanted the full manual experience. I love these cameras - especially the overall build quality is insane, and I don't wanna miss it. But if I wanted to buy a Leica now, I would go for the Q3. :)
I just got back home from Japan. I took 362 photos of that Gundam and none are as intriguing as the shot at 1:04. From this angle it reminds me of the real ships getting repaired at the drydocks in my city. I always learn something new from your videos GX, Thanks for everything you do!
Option Paralysis… what a great turn of phrase describing too much choice. Love it. Finally worked out who your work reminds me of, the illustration work of Simon Stalenhag and his vision of a future dystopia.
As usual, the drill after hearing GxAce's YT bell: click the 'thumb up' bottom first, quietly plug in my headphone in my office and turn up the volume, play it fullscreen 'til the end.......then hit that PLAY bottom AGAIN.
Fujifilm should make a successor of their X70! This was basically a X100 with 28mm lens and as truly pocketable as befits the smaller sensor. Just imagine a X70T with some contemporary video features.
Every time i watch one of your vids i'm like "ah yes, this is the coolest thing on earth i really want one now". and then i look at the price. You're really good at making videos AND at sellling me stuff
I recently acquired this camera, coming from a Fuji XPro3. I kept the XPro as I just love the look and feel. The Q3 is just on a different level. The image quality is astounding and the its feels very solid. The image quality along with the 1.7 is just...............something you have to experience in person. I am not disappointed. great video GxAce as always. Thanks.
It's a game changer camera, but its not easy to forget the principals and quality you lavished in the X100 or X100F or Epson RD1 as many of us still do. This new Leica is a beauty and super nice but there is still something more interesting in 12mp and 35mm, especially Fuji. Great channel as always.

A truly gorgeous camera. I've been rolling with a "budget" kit at the moment (Sony a6000) but I think the Q3 is going to haunt my dreams forever now.
At least its so out of reach, I don't even have to pretend to decide that I'm not going to buy it. But wow, this is definitely my perfect setup. I do still love my x100v though.
Xpan equivalent focal length on full frame would be a 25 mm cropped to 24x65. Or get a GFX50R with the 30 mm lens set to 24x65. That is the true digital Xpan. Still love the Q3 though 😄
@@GxAce correct if you calculate for the diagonal. If you take solely the horizontal field of view in consideration (which is pretty much what I would want to know) a 25 mm lens on full frame or 30 mm on a „budget“ digital medium format sensor represents the correct equivalent focal length (wideness). Ignoring depth of field / f-number equivalence. But I could be wrong. Also checked this with my viewfinder app. Unfortunately, I sold my X-pan years ago, because I was dumb, young and needed the money. Angle of view (diag/hor) 74°/71° for the 45 mm on the X-pan
I don't think I would dare take a 5-6k Leica on to the streets of London at night, my nerves couldn't take it. Maybe it's fine in a city like Tokyo, but in London, I feel you'll be a walking target. I'll stick to my Ricoh GRII and my sigma dp0 Quattro thanks but, as always great video. I love your channel, sir you are a true artist.

I've got a lot more modest of a setup. Canon RP plus sigma art 35mm 1.4. Does the job for me. When you only bring one lens, you do forgo choice. I take pictures of birds and wildlife though, so having a choice to use a telephoto on different outings even with the small camera is nice. I've used the X100 before, and I even had the chance to get the 2010 one for a measly 200 dollars, but I passed it up. Hopefully someone else is loving it right now. Like you say, all cameras are good enough. Focus on the lens that does what you need, and go spend your time taking photos. Your camera is better than Ansel's.

What a strange time in camera when a $6k camera is described as "Leica's answer to Fujifilm". Great praise for the X100v.
