We took a gondola to the top of a mountain where we stayed in a hotel. It was harvest time so everything was a golden yellow. We only stayed one day as we had much to do on our tour heading out to Yangshuo. The fun part was I had no idea where we were going. Heading out from Humen, Guangdong, we took a bullet train to Guangzhou and then onto Guilin. Excellent video. Wish I could go back.
@@Nicofilms Aww no, please get well Nico, because it's frustrating to me that not only you can't walk, but you also can't show me more beautiful places all around the greatest continent on Earth. Again, I wish a great recovery Nico, I hope you and your husband are doing okay.
@@zeldamachina6305 Thank you! It's been a struggle but we'll get through it. Luckily we have lots of videos backed up to edit so hopefully we won't stop!
@@Nicofilms Yeah, I will eagerly do it next year, particularly after watching an inspiring video about a couple from UK cycled through Yunnan province, how amazing this place is! Feel free to check it out if you are interested in it. ua-cam.com/video/MLuqU5IG72A/v-deo.html
Hi Nico, are the rice fields working rice fields or have they become ornamental for tourism purpose only. It looks so precarious to walk to farm the fields.
They are still working fields. Tourism has grown a lot in the past few years and they have become more accessible but luckily it hasn't gone too far yet. The part we went to was quite a hike so there wasn't as many people but there is a gondola to take you to the top of a different hill and I expect this would be much more touristic.
i been travel to Guilin 20 years ago, at that time not that many freeway and some still under construction. beautiful and a lot of rain.

@@NicofilmsYou're welcome and yeah, it's soothing yet it moves you. Furthermore, I bet China is full of possibilities.
@@zeldamachina6305 Yeah I totally agree! It certainly is, that's why I'm so frustrated I still can't walk yet, I have so much exploring I want to do!

Fantastic!The scenery is stunning!🙌
It's so beautiful isn't it!
Incredible clouds make that like a picture, which motivates me to accomplish my cycling plan from Shenzhen to Guangxi province.
Yeah the clouds made it really atmospheric. Wow, that's awesome how long do you think it will take you?? Good luck with that Guangxi is beautiful!
Nico well, it basically takes at least 5 days there as the distance is more than 500km. Despite the tough way, I will try to make it there, thanks!
