You guys are in there during raining season. The river is flooded with yellow sand water. The scenery will be better if you come in the second half of the year. I did the visit in CNY and the river is so clear and the sky so blue!
Guilin is such an amazing place to visit. I was at the cruise many years ago and I really dont believe I was there physically. The views are exactly what you see in movies, paintings etc. Thank you for showing the videos that brought me back memory lane ❤
I often thought that Chinese watercolour paintings were poetic licence but many who saw the real thing confirmed it's really like a painting .
But Korea and Kpop steal it
China’s infrastructure and public transportation are so amazing and convenient for people traveling around the country. And people can reach out to so many places that are difficult to reach because of the decent public transport and highway system.

I visited Guilin area several years ago and its beauty is forever etched in my heart. I love that it’s memorialized for generations as a living gallery, what beautiful and fitting words for it.
You guys bring back memories. It's been 12 years since I travelled to Guilin and Yangshuo. This place is truly magical. Blew my mind when I first saw it. This is the home of my great grandparents.

I love the misty clouds wrapping around the mountains, it's so magical, just like Chinese paintings! Gorgeous! 😍❤
When western countries media reporting they report the misty sky and clouds as heavy pollution.

我復活節也去了挂林，風景真的很美。
CHINA 🇨🇳 is the one country that has something for everyone.
It is blessed by mother nature with some of the most beautiful and colorful landscapes and waterways.
And man-made structures like no where else in the world.
In the cities there is amazing infrastructure, beautiful buildings, well maintained parks, plenty of places to buy drinks and snacks, extremely clean public toilets, amazing and very inexpensive and well connected public transportation, safety and the feeling of being safe, convenience in regards to payment method, and mobile phone recharging, need I go on??
There is an old saying goes “桂林山水甲天下 Guilin's landscapes are the best in the world”, glad u enjoyed yourselves there😊

Just found y'alls channel because I am also looking to go to China and study Mandarin and the culture - So far this has been my favorite video! The Guilin cruise to Yangshuo is my top 3 things I want to do in China when I go! Plus Yangshuo will be the city I am studying in so its awesome to see it! 🖤
It has been raining in southern China recently, and small streams carry soil into large rivers, so the river water will be yellow, while the usual color of the river water is green.
This is my dream destination. So beautiful place. Thank you for sharing

Yea, sometimes media like the BBC do grey filters and stuff. You would think everyone wear Mao hats and grey suits.
Went there last month and it truly deserves its reputation. If you arrive at the 20RMB spot on land, they've made it something of a big tourist attraction, and many people do take a picture with the banknote from the riverbank. I hope you'll take the bamboo raft on Yulong River while you stay in Yangshuo. It was an absolute highlight for me.

I spent 3 weeks in Yangshuo in 1998 just chilling, exploring and brushing up on my Chinese. It was SOOOOO much less developed then and quieter. Back then you could hop on a bike and be in the deep countryside in just a few minutes. There are pluses and minuses to everything.

Note said that such foggy weather could give an even more beautiful/mystical view of the area. He was right, the drone videos over the area offered a spectacular view of the area, haze and fog create unique atmosphere making sunny days somewhat overrated in photography, beautiful
like the room with a view of the river and a balcony!
i recommend visit in the summer. it is mostly clear blue sky, hot humid though.

Was just there in march and April. Amazing place. We actually had a private guide and they took us to this tram attraction south of Guilin in the Yan Shan district which only opened 3 years ago. Definitely worth the visit ! It’s called Yangshuo Ruyi Peak.
I'm from Hong Kong. I heard Cantonese on the boat. So maybe they're tourists from GuangZhou.
A vegetable seller at my nearby market is a "part-time" tour agent and she often organized excursions to China especially Guilin during school holiday seasons. And Guilin is probably the number one travel destinations in China for Malaysians Chinese. We in the capital Kuala Lumpur also speak Cantonese as lingua franca among various dialect groups. 😂
Flora is so good at organizing and planning, a perfect companion to travel with
It is almost a folklore that the Chinese believe the moon in the Western sky is bigger and brighter than the one seen over their heads. Now things have changed. Many China tourists visiting the best of the West now return to China loving their country even more than before they left. With so many attractions n scenic spots and conveniences of public transport plus low cost of travel, there is not much for Chinese to see and experience outside their own country.

桂林现在是雨季，可惜你们到来前两天下过大雨，所以江水变得混浊，如果几天没有大雨，漓江会逐渐恢复清澈，风景会更漂亮。如果在雨季空气湿度大的时候，又正好小雨过后天晴，运气好可以见到桂林最美的时刻-烟雨桂林。

The best time to go there is when it's foggy, but it's also very beautiful on a sunny day or during sunset. Just don't waste your time going when it's cloudy or raining without any mist.
Just been there last December, can't get enough of it, especially the little limestone mountains.

Guilin has a very famous and beautiful place called GuilinLongji terrace scenic spot, I have been there many years ago and was impressed by the beauty of the place at sunrise, if you love nature then it must be a must visit place for you.
Extremely foggy, looks wet and cool. Yes Note your boat just left, guess you will catch the next 1. Outstanding views from the rooftop of the boat. Big pieces of fish for lunch.This town looks very interesting to me. Old fashion hotel / house. Room looks really nice, big and balcony included. Outstanding From Start To Finish
