I watched Markiplier struggle at this game. Which made me want it. So I bought it and now my work days go by so damn slow because im itching to get home and play it. Ive NEVER been a simulator type of person. But im absolutely hooked on this damn game. The ability to listen to real radio stations in real time is also a big bonus for me for some reason. Im about to dump so many hours into this game. All because Markiplier struggled to play it and brushed it off. Im glad I saw through it and was able to decide this game was for me.
I've never been a fan of simulators, excluding farming simulator. All the past truck simulators never really pulled me in until this one. Just have the California/Nevada/Arizona map at the moment but more than enough to keep me busy after work.
Been a driver for 20 years friend told me about this game. I said no thanks I drive everyday. Eventually after watching videos I got the game. 220 hours into it. I look forward to getting home everyday to play. Incase anyone wonders the details of the truck interior/exterior is accurate I've driven everything in the game in real life the switches an gauges are actually where they should be.
This game is a lot more fun then I imagined. The world map is very detailed. I’ve been thinking about investing in a truck. That’s the only way I’d be able to drive because reckless driving charge a few years back I doubt a company would hire me. Plus it’s more laid back and more money. I used to drive peterbilt box and side panel trucks, $16 hr ain’t cuttin it
Hi! I'd just like to say that I'm very impressed with the quality of this video, and that I can't believe this doesn't have more views. If you just keep putting time into making content like this for newer games, or even ATS DLCs or something like that, I'm sure you'll start getting more viewers!
If he didn't just film his first deployment I would be possibly impressed. If you're wanting to post a video, do something that not literally EVERYONE does. Give tips. Not stuff what the players will figure out in 5 minutes.
Just a quick tip if you do get into a situation where some dumb AI traffic has you blocked in: hit Escape, go into the graphics settings, and click on the next setting up or down. This forces the game to reload local assets with the new graphics settings, and will make all cars around you vanish from existence. Afterwards, you can put the graphics back where you want it.
I used to drive tractor trailers up and down the west coast, and I learned to drive with a standard, I always look at the "rev. counter" even though on this game I really don't need to do it, however when I'm playing this game, I have the music blasting. This is relaxing and fun.
I just bought it and omg im mad how long this game has been out and I never picked it up. Its objectively an okay game but personally its a 10/10 for me. The attention to detail and the small things hit different for me. And the ability to listen to real world radio stations blew my freakin mind.
@@MTFOphantom Dude this is late, but I started playing this like a couple hours ago. I was already liking the game pretty good but once I discovered the radio deal, and how it was actual stations, I fell in love! Been a while since a game got me this kind of excited!
Just got this and all the dlc in the summer sale well worth the money, I already have Euro trucker 2 but just wanted to check this out before I play it. Great video :)
These games seem very realistic. I've had a lot of comments on my channel from people trying to improve their skills for this game. I may have to check it out.
I just started playing this about a month ago. I wish I would have watched this before I started but now that I've got the hang of it I use it to relax. Because I use it to relax I just use automatic transmission. At the moment I don't want to be bothered with shifting gears but perhaps if I need to spice things up a bit I'll select that option. I need to turn infractions off. Those are annoying as hell. I don't have the confidence to use first person view all the time when making a delivery. I'm still switching to third person on on/off ramps and in cities. Also the video quality here is fantastic. This was an excellent tutorial. Thanks so much.
I really enjoyed your video. Also the great tip to make my own soundtrack as you did yours. I loved the music you played in this video. I never heard it before. Consider making a Playlist for the game and posting it for us in your next video.
I am still having trouble getting all my buttons mapped to my wheel. I feel like the pc is not remembering the buttons on my gaming wheel. is there a way to map buttons from the pc to use a game pad for the pc? I am terrible at memorising all the buttons on the keyboard,
Yep same here I weave in and out of lanes, use the shoulder lane to pass, use the sidewalk, whatever it takes, but my goal is to not lose my speed and keep it high lol
I keep getting stuck on steep off ramps. Ideally i just drive right through them but every now and then there will be traffic so i have to stop. And once i stop I can't get started going off again. How can I avoid this?
You might not be changing to a lower gear in time. Usually I can get going on a hill from a full stop in 3rd gear. I go to 2nd if the load is a bit heavier. FYI, I play with a mouse and keyboard. If this isn't working, then the truck you're using may not have a big enough engine to haul the load up a steep grade. Quick jobs don't usually have this problem, but if you're in you're own truck then you might run into this problem.
Sir: on several occasions my truck has arrived at his destination and the parking place is not highlighted, so I don't know where to park, and with 3 trailers I get them tied up on knots, and take a hefty fine. Is it necessary for me to somehow turn on the required parking place? thanks

IF you playing the first version and viewing the date of this, you are. Playing with a controler and the ability to alter the various configuations as KB+M player's have available is great. But us that since July this year(2022), unless one choose xinput and choose's the actual controler, they have no access to the controller configuartion menu, after they finish installing it. Uninstalling, reinstalling it a dozen time, didn't work. One is forced to utilize the games default configs. The first time one installs it having a listed controler and choosing it. And not the xinput selection. Mean's regardless of what controler they have, will never have access to the reconfiguration menu.
I understand you can buy trucks in this game but will it actually mean you can earn more if you are doing your own hauls or will it even be worth it? If I’m going to buy a truck I want more income from the jobs that I do.
You will earn more money, but instead of just clicking on a town on the map and choosing the job you want, you have to drive your own truck to the job site to pick up the trailer. So it's best to just find jobs in the same town your previous one ended. Also with your own truck, you have to keep in mind if your truck has a big enough engine to haul the load. I had this problem the first time I played. I bought a truck with a small engine and some jobs I either couldn't do or it took a very long time to finish.
