This is amazing! I’ve played guitar for 15 years and didn’t know about the artificial dive thing, that’s soooo cool! Gonna be doing a lot of those coming up! Would love if you guys kept making these rifffopsies!
He gets a great sound with huge harmonics with so little actual gain going on. This means he is actually a really tight, clean and efficient player. Iykyk. Some of this guys riffs blow my mind. Love em
Brother, I was listening to this BANGER in the shower wishing there was a video that did just this. I wanted to see what it looked like, to put a visual to the sound. Thank you for this one man.
@@MIREofficial I haven't had a song get this stuck on me for a long time. Super stoked for more. Especially with Nick on board!! The missing link has found his way home.
I met Nick in Vienna and he really is one of the nicest guys on this planet! He motivated me to write the music i do now since 2011 and i will keep doing music until i play as a support band for Mire ;D!!!!
Seeing Nick with a 7 string. Dayyuuum son! That is so awesome! Looking forward to gettimg this album when it drops. I haven't been this excited for a new album in a long time.
I wish we could just sit down and play guitar for an hour. So I can learn and hang out with one of my biggest inspirations on guitar! My old band covered through struggle, I was terrible but that was 7 years ago. Keep shredding brother!
This is awesome Nick. I've always loved your style. A New Found Rain seriously opened up my interest in metal core again. It never went away but I've been listening to the same bands for 15 years now 😆
That was just an amazing and incredible explanation of a supercool riff! Also the way how you explained it was easy to understand and follow. Thank you so much for a great inspiration!
This is awesome. Love seeing nick explain Riffs and how they’re done. You have been one of my favorite guitarists since I first heard shadows are security. I grew up in the 80’s, and George lynch has been my favorite guitarist since I was 5. I wish he had tutorials like this lol
@@MIREofficial Like....everytime I'm in the gym, there is a 100% chance that I play Shed at some point during my workout. Do you guys have tabs available to purchase? I want to learn your whole album on guitar haha
This is Nick Hipa of "Mire." Not to be confused with the song "Mire" by After the Burial or the album "Mire" by Conjurer or the band "The Mire" from the UK.
the artificial divebomb is really sick. i'm gonna see if i can get the hang of it this afternoon. i typically play/write in standard with low string dropped to D and i like riffs that start by falling from the 12th or 8th fret and then moving into the action of the riff, so i can probably incorporate that to switch up the grooves/slide being on the lowest string, maybe go between. idk i gotta try it out first
Nick is one of my favourite guitarist, up there with James hetfield, Jeff waters, Dave mustaine, Adam dutkiewicz, Matt heafy, alex skolnick, and George lynch
Funny to see you play a 6 string in the video but the song is actually played with a 7 string :-) Keep up the cool content. Had the pleasure to meet you and got my pickguard signed in Atlanta before the AILD show. Rock on! Greetings from Germany! 🤟🏻
i was watching biggest shred collab song in the word 5, when nick hipa plays that solo i feel like im on the clouds :) is that part from a song? i really need to listen to full version of it, i literally dying to listen to that.
And just like that I'm back to wanting a 7-string again, despite selling my only one last year. Off to sweetwater or musician's friend I go to see what my options are.
Dude not a bad call at all! We're actually going to be posting a Sweetwater link to all our favorite gear on next tutorial videos so hopefully that'll help you land on a 7 string that you really love
Such a great, original riff/song. It's refreshing to not hear a guitar trying to sound like computer noises. Like every other clone band out there regurgitating the same old "bleh" bullshit. I really want to see this band live. And hear another album....
Love how humble he is.
I love Nick, he just seems like the most genuine dude
This is amazing! I’ve played guitar for 15 years and didn’t know about the artificial dive thing, that’s soooo cool! Gonna be doing a lot of those coming up! Would love if you guys kept making these rifffopsies!
More to come for sure 🤘🏻
"Maybe it's NOT sick, but WE think it is!" ... Hellz yeah!
This man is just from another world! Kindest dude ever❤
This guy seems genuinely nice. I don’t even play guitar, but I watched the whole video

I love these riffs! One of my favorite bands. Are y’all still making music? I looked on Spotify and only 7,000 followers is blowing my mind.

Great choice of shower jams hahah

Love a good "KKKAOWW" pick scrape thrown into a riff. Great stuff Nick, your pacing and vocabulary lend itself to tutorials!
Thank you so much dude!

This is a great riff from equally great song. I would surgically attach my lips myself and be a riffipede. Please keep the tutorials coming.

Awesome video 👍 thanks for the tips! I've been thinking about getting a 7 string here soon!
Get it ! 🎸
Wild! Had no idea you could dive bomb like that. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SONG ENDING RIFF?!!
Some sick content here dudes 🔥
Thank you Julian 🤘🏻
This is sick! Bravo, give us a new full length!
More to come!

Speaking of using spacing well, Vildhjarta is probably my favorite in that area for both their guitar spacing and drums.
God damn this dude is so fucking goooood!!! What a guy 🤘🖤
🤘🏽😬🤘🏽
The "dive bomb" with flaring saddle is smart
When is the album dropping??
i was watching biggest shred collab song in the word 5, when nick hipa plays that solo i feel like im on the clouds :) is that part from a song? i really need to listen to full version of it, i literally dying to listen to that.
Wicked bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks 🔥
I'm just curious! what's the point of floyd rose kind guitars without using actual bar?
Nice rif bro!
Appreciate it!

"there's tremolo picking, for a little bit"
long enough for me to finish
😂
Thanks for the artificial dive bomb, I'll mess around with that when practicing.
Get after it !
The the artificial dive bomb and pick scrape
🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻very cool tricks of the trade
Fucking badass!
Glad you dig Tony !
Yo what’s good homie
Guys ... in my continues search for fun and heavy cool sounding bands ... you will soon be featured on "Metalheads Golf". Stay metal dudes, Eric.
Dig it! 🔥
@@MIREofficial Checked your songs ... and wow ... needs more attention for sure. Stay metal dudes, Eric. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
What kind of guitar is that?
Get the nicest dude in metal his own UA-cam channel please. 🤘
I thought you were in AILD nick?
So happy to see the pizza guy from Stranger Things went on to be successful in life

I know it isn’t mire
But please can you do a tutorial vid on my own grave???!!!
I’ll love you forever!!!!
Me: Hey Nick, why don't you teach how to play guitar?
Nick: I do. For free.
Me: Thanks Nick. You're friggin awesome!
Nick: I know. Buy our album!
😂🤟🏽
I know this doesn't have anything to do with this song but just know that God loves y'all and has a plan for yall anyone reading this
Well now I need a floating bridge😂
Do it !
Ohh so that’s how you get a low sound from bending the string .
🤯 😬
Is it just me, or does Nick Hipa look like a mixture of a real bad guy and one of the Jonas Brothers?
Meshuggah
Nick Hipa is JAVANESE GUY
But does it djent? Yes it does.
Thank you sir. You are quite the Djentlemen.. Cheers.
