"what makes your country different and special compared to the other Baltic States that isn't your language?" The results are interesting.

I’ve got a video coming up touching on this. It’s truly inspiring that throughout history even though the Baltic were occupied more than once, they still fought back to massive countries and won their independence. So, perhaps like family, you protect one another and share that fighting spirit

Latvians will always be six toed. It confirms with their vehicle registration code - LV which in estonian it is Lisa Varvas (Extra toe)
Where is the estonian comment about six toed latvians. This is biased towards the balts, but it makes sense since you mainly do Lithuania.

well ive been to those 3 countries back in 2018 and my assesment is the Estonians are basically eastern European Finns, Latvians are Russian baltics, and Lithuanians are Poles. and the Scandanavians view them as Scandanavians in training. trying to ween out Soviet influence.
So basically you say that Finns are North European Estonians, Russians are Slavic Latvians and Polish are Lithuanians. Well, Finns are similar to Estonians, but Latvians are more close to Germans and Swedish than to Russians. Lithuanians, in my observation, are not similar to anyone. I was in Poland, in Latvia, Belarus, Lithuania and Lithuanians are in their own.
@@PiedzivojumiArAndri attitude wise and the vibe I got from visiting the baltics, and I travelled from Helsinki via ferry to Tallinn , rode the lux bus from Tallinn to riga to Vilnius in like a week. I found Tallinn to be the most western European of the three capital cities, most quiet. Riga , party town, the loudest old city Ive seen, Ive seen a lot of Russians partying here and Ive got a lot of I love Putin shouts coming my way. Vilnius, reminded me of Poland. in terms of vibe , Catholic religion here seems very strong. I found the Estonians to be the more German of the three.
@@johnwalsh4857 yea, a lot Russians are (or was) in Latvia, I don't know how is situation right now. Many Russians came to Latvia 1950-1988, somewhat of 25% of today Latvian population and before conflict in Ukraine many Russian citizens also bought real estate in Latvia, more than in other two Baltic states. If you go to places like Kuldiga there you met more real Latvians. In Daugavpils you will met more Russian people, there even look like in Russia, everything there are very run down and destroyed. Estonia looks more modern from all three.
@@PiedzivojumiArAndri I was told a lot of UK people come to Riga to party , not surprised the Russians came to take advantage of this to make money from the party tourists. yah noticed Tallinn is the more developed of the 3 Baltic capitals also the most quiet. Probably due to its closeness to Finland, also noticed on the ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn , Saw of Russians with shopping bags in duty free transiting to Talllinn. I was told Russians like to do their shopping in Helsinki but find it easier to transit from Tallinn to Helsinki than to do it from St. Petersburg.
Your observation regarding Latvia totally makes sense. Russian speaking people live in urban centers, so in fact there are more native Russian speakers than Latvian in Riga and even more so in Daugavpils (the second largest city) as well as plenty in other larger cities like Liepaja. Add to it that Latvians are generally more quiet and reserved than Russians and you get the upper mentioned impression.
Usually the smaller cities and towns like Sigulda, Kuldiga, Ventspils or Cesis are much cleaner and better taken care of with much higher percentage of Latvian speakers.

as for the baltic capitals, Riga is the most lively party town, Brits like to go there to party, Tallinn is a quiet tourist old town. Vilnius is somewhere in between however I did notice big old catholic and orthrodox churches in old town vilnius.
