  • Tucker Carlson's interview with Vladimir Putin has been watched hundreds of millions of times and picked over by pundits, analysts, think tanks and governments.
However, arguably the most important moment of the entire two hour discussion has been completely missed, and certainly not given the attention it deserves.
Crispin provides his analysis on some things that Putin let slip, and explains how looking at the Ukraine war through Putin's own framework exposes how Russia may be defeated.

I am amazed that an Aussie has such good knowledge about the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth history. Good job!

"All contemporary social crimes have their origin in the partition of Poland. The partition of Poland is a theorem of which all present political outrages are the corollaries."
    - Victor Hugo
If there was no partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, carried out by the Germans (Austria, Prussia) and Catherine (German Tsarina of Russia), in cooperation with corrupt magnates in the 18th century, probably there would be no Bolshevik revolution and two world wars.

I have never expected anyone except the poles understanding and telling how the commonwealth really operated, the history of PLC has been slundered for centuries, so glad pepole are talking about how it really looked like.
Ps. we will need Belarus to join as well :)

Instead of Eastern Europe we’d be the commonwealth

Ive been wanting to get a tribal tattoo inspired by latvian culture, but im wondering if baltic people will get offended or not because of cultural appropriation reasons.

Extremely interesting information. As a Lithuanian I never heard about it. Great historical mistake not to carry on with this but applying it to contemporary situation is not realistic at all.

I think you would find interesting the video done by Apostolic Majesty about the interview. He goes into great detail about the historical claims made by Putin.

Thanks for the information and insights. I live in Lithuania, but I don't know much about such topics and I learn a lot from your channel. It's scary how many people can be affected by the Kremlin's disinformation.

If there is a risk of war with russia this treaty will never happen. I simply cannot see any modern european government be it Polish or Lithuanian willingly joining a war against russia on their own. In a defensive scenario NATO might convince others to join, simply because the American army is insanely powerful by comparison, and victory is almost guaranteed. Yet even then I'm not entirely sure. But for us to do it on our own... I just cannot imagine it in the current political and cultural climate. People and politicians are too comfortable, and too risk averse to want to join an (as of yet) unnecessary war.

Indeed value of human life in our societies are high. And in Russia it is worthless (as per Putin words). Putin knows that and exploits that.

That is a bright idea and I would vote for that. Unfortunately our governments are not so bright and polish sometimes are less than understandable (farmers on border). I am really fed up with something called realpolitik which is stupid most of the time. Specially considering Russia. Yet I don't know what we can do about it.

      LOL
Poles will defend their companies and farmers against unfair competition caused by corruption and Ukrainian oligarchs. We gave Ukraine a selfless hand and it wants more and more. No more abusing our kindness. He goes to look for those responsible for the current situation in Ukraine.

@@jerzykatowski8220 Of course. Yet border obstruction is that what is liked by Putin so much and in essence Ukraine defending Poles. After Ukraine Baltics and Poland shall be next.

What about Belarus then? Do we have to send Lukashenko to Moscow or to jail?

Belarus is a country without actual nation. THye should be under supervision of Lithuania like it was historically done.

    Re-establishing monarchy hell yeah!
We don't need any Royal family for that since it's elective monarchy, just get any candidates with noble roots.
But also Polish-Lithuanian(-Ruthenian) commonwealth never owned lands russia is occupying and i don't particularly care about them, ukraine with donbas would be too industrially strong and ethnically diverse anyway. Just give up that land.
