Overkill already cemented itself as last years track of the year, this year I'd say Mazare - Beserker will take it but blackwater and disorder (rebirth) a big contenders
After months of teasing, we’re finally here. Despite the lack of new songs for the album, the quality in it is nothing short of fantastic including its storytelling. We Are Dust will always have a special place in my heart but Dogma Resistance has taken the throne for me this year. Thank you RIOT for making this an absolute gem to remember. I cannot be more excited to hear some more music from you guys in the future.
This is probably the best LP I've ever heard. It has lore! From what I get: *Overture 1990*: The Machine's cult of sorts start wreaking havoc to try awakening the Machine. The start of the song is a transmission played on cities a few days after the cult starts their actions, updating citizens. The voice clip that plays afterwards is the presumed leader of the Dogma Resistance recruiting members to defeat the Machine. *Jungle Fury*: Dogma Resistance's first fight. They're gathering weapons and recruits to fight the Machine. This plays out during their first fight with the Machine's cult, which takes place in a jungle. In the end of the song, with "we are the machine" being played in multiple languages, it is presumed that the Machine has the power of mind control and wants to build a hive mind of sorts. Presumably, the Resistance looses due to still being in formation and still pretty weak and end up loosing some members to the Machine's mind control, but it's up to debate. *Disorder*: The Machine's cult succeeds in awakening the Machine, since during the song "system online" and "you have awakened the machine" are heard. The Resistance organizes themselves to fight the Machine. *Blackwater*: Dogma Resistance goes out in search of the Machine's headquarters or center. The Resistance finds trouble, as heard in the TTS voice clip, but they're able to get through. The Machine is also confirmed to have an alien origin again due to the TTS voice clip. *Desert to Desert*: Just an interlude. The resistance makes their way to the desert. *Aiwa*: The Resistance passes through a desert. It's unknown if they found trouble again or not, but from the cover, it can be presumed they either had to fight some sort of zombified camels or they're the ones riding the camels. Up to interpretation. *The Mob*: The Resistance is getting close to the Machine, and they're ambushed by the weird alien creatures seen in the cover so they don't get to the Machine. It presumably takes place in a destroyed city, and after the Resistance defeats the alien creatures, they try recruiting the city's survivors as heard in the voice clip, and then they head to defeat the machine. From the outro, it's presumed that the Resistance was able to defeat the Machine, presumably some sort of weaker version of it, but not completely destroy it. It can be confirmed by the end clip saying "the machine has fallen" but the LP still continuing into Overkill, and then in the start of Overkill they run some sort of diagnostics program. *Last Stand*: The Resistance think they have won, but the Machine isn't done yet. The cult repairs the machine, and Dogma Resistance racks up the last of their forces and prepare for the final battle. *Overkill*: The Machine runs a diagnostic program to see if it's fully operational from the cult's repairs, and the Machine's true form reveals itself, stronger than last time in The Mob. The Resistance gives their all in the battle, but despite that, the Machine overcomes them and hypnotizes the Resistance. *Take That*: The Resistance is drugged to think they won the battle, even though the Machine won. While the Resistance is partying and thinking they won, the Machine conquers the world, and the Resistance can't do anything about it. MatPat needs to make a Music Theorists channel and review this, because HOLY SHIT it's a lot of lore!
Best version of Dogma Resistance story, especially about Take That. What you think about RIOT's comment under this video: "WE ARE THE MACHINE"? Could it mean that we are all drugged? 0_0
I personally like to think that in overkill, they took down the machine, but because they couldn't find a way to permanently destroy it, so they instead placed a loop within the machine, causing it to remain dormant, regardless if the machine were to be fixed again.
Ill explain my theory of the story Overture 1990- they were announcing everyone that operation overkill was gonna take over the planet and another voice which i think is the leader of Dogma Resistance was telling everyone to join their resistance to burn the machine ( that was part of overkill) To the ground. Disorder- The boys were making the machine, maybe forced to do it by overkill. And the leader of overkill would explain what they’d do to the planet. The mob- three people tried to destroy the machine but a powerful overkill mob was getting them. They we’re successful but overkill was planning revenge... Blackwater, Aiwa and Jungle Fury- Lots of people joined the resistance from all over the world. Cowboys, arabic people, and others. Desert to desert- the arabic people were traveling. Last stand- All of them were planning what to do ( tension rising) Overkill was going to throw their last stand ( the machine ) and they had to be ready. Overkill- The Last fight... the kids of disorder were proud of their creation, The ones from the mob were ready to bash, and the others were ready to strike. Take that- After everything, they had won and others, they were in a bad state from a drug that would make them sleep. But it was over. They went and did a party because of their massive achievement.
I thought the Overkill one was the fact that this was all a dream, because of the sentence of "you will have a nice sleep, without any nightmares.", and is the reason why this has happened. I guess I was wrong haha. This makes more sense.

I’ve waited almost a year and a half for this to drop and it’s still one of the most anticipated LP’s for me this year. Riot went crazy on this LP. The Disorder VIP came as a surprise to me, Blackwater is mind blowing, and the Bonus track is so damn good. Amazing production work from Riot. Can’t wait till the next album!
While the lack of new songs is a little disappointing, that doesn’t mean much in this case. This album is one of the finest collections of bass music on the label, possibly of all time. The sound design, the atmosphere, the storytelling, it’s all immaculate. I love it to bits. Thank you to RIOT for bringing this masterpiece of an album to the world, I cannot wait to hear more from you guys in the future!

“Take That” felt like the equivalent of “Don’t Want To Go” in Nigel Good’s Space Cadet LP, a total turn around in mood after a long ride throughout the entire album. A good way of closing it off.

Chills.......all I can say........I have chills.... Edit 1: D&B are you kidding me?! Get them with Mazare!! Edit 2: Blackwater deserves to be in the BO2019 mix.
This is a masterpiece, from the opening Overture 1990, to the nostalgia brought on by the Rebirthed Disorder, to the amazing end piece. The tone of this LP mix is truly unmatched compared to anything else on Monstercat. Props to RIOT for this outstanding 30-minute beauty, and of course, WE ARE THE MACHINE.
Listening through this made me really joyful, it truly feels like I'm fighting along side everyone. 1 year later and the resistance is still going strong

This surpasses all art I've seen in my entire life. Every game, every movie, anime, music, series, cartoon... None can surpass this in "being art" itself.
Make this a thing! LP/EP Mixes when one releases, background is based on the song (if necessary). Also, this is a sneaky move to add an Instinct song on Uncaged

and god damn I could use a whole album of songs like that bonus track
If anything this makes me wish all LP's were treated this way on Monstercat and got an LP mix release on youtube. This is great!
I'm listening to RIOT quite a long time. When they released Overkill I just found the worlds most banger track ever. Now this LP is amazing, but still, Overkill will be always the best of the bests.
Damn it feels really great to Listen to Rebirth Disorder
Disorder rebirth is an absolute masterpiece; If you have heard this wonderful lp, do yourself a favour and listen to 9:15 again! Immerse yourself in these wonderful wubs, well done, RIOT my favourite duo has rocked my world again :) although I don’t think any song will ever live up to the absolute perfection of the mob
OMG first time in a while when Monstercat upload a separate mix other than Uncaged and Instinct volumes on the channel
This was incredible, thank you so much, it brings me a lot of emotions.
Riot is the best dubstep producer of all time 🔥
I love the little changes to the songs within this LP, it's really well done!
Edit: OML DISORDER SLAPS HARD NOW HOLY JESUS
I'm relistening to this right now, scrolling through the comments and I realize.... I'm crying. You guys are the best, love this masterpiece so hard.
Esto es increíble. Si la gente pensaba que el Dubstep había muerto es porque no han escuchado esto. Estoy anonadado de la altísima calidad de este CD. Es increíble, no tengo palabras para describir lo mucho que me gustó.
This song makes everything fit together, I’m going to be listening to this for the next 10 hours
I can't wait for RIOT's next work. You can't beat perfection but after hearing "Take That" ...
lets just say I'm open to surprises
Especially given that right infront of "Take That" is "Overkill", the definition of perfection.
i swear i just made a playlist yesterday with Jungle Fury, Disorder, The Mob, and Overkill with the same order with the one in this playlist
Chills.......all I can say........I have chills....
Edit 1: D&B are you kidding me?! Get them with Mazare!!
Edit 2: Blackwater deserves to be in the BO2019 mix.
@DomYaBoi23 yeah, when i said about dnb it was for that masterpiece.
Wish granted.
Calling this a masterpiece is not enought. Thanks for sharing this with us, Monstercat and RIOT.
Telling a story through music. RIOT, you've really outdone yourselves!!

How about the remaining 40 seconds?
@@trickster7126 God: I'll allow it
OVERKILL!
10:02 NOW IT'S TIME TO DRUM 'N' BASS
Best switch up
It's drum and bass. Watchu gonna do?
@@leonpaul6198 Fuck man I miss Pendulum
Stratozfearz Pendulum actually has a new album in the works, plus their Trinity tour showcases some new tunes. Pretty hype
"Pendulum join the server"
Waited a whole year for a LP and it’s finally here, I love it ❤️❤️❤️ great work Riot, and amazing job for putting together a mix Monstercat!!!
Riot: here’s disorder (Disorder)
And here’s the cooler Disorder (Disorder Rebirth)
here is disorder and there is thatordee
Im sick of marshmello being the face of monstercat, this is RIOT
SINCE WHEN!
Marshmello is by no means the face of monstercat. I didn't even know his song Alone was on monstercat till I checked SoundCloud.
@@elirainu but alone is the most viewed video on Monstercat...
I think Pegboard Nerds are the face of Monstercat
I'd say that belongs much more to the classic artists of this label.
I'm talking Pegboard Nerds, Ephixa, Tristam (despite not being here anymore), etc
Faggotboy69 McSuckle nobody is the face of monstercat tho
What a ride! 30 mins of incredible music. Love you RIOT!
This is what it feels like to watch the final movie at the end of a fantastic series
Jungle Fury is that one song that no matter how many times I listen to it, it never gets old!
Im speechless. Take That is crazy good and very unexpected
The transition is so dope! Literally RIOT just telling us an epic story
justin and riot need a collab. their story telling is something else
jeeeesus from 6:30 to 7:00 is amazing. the rest too ofcourse but aaaaah. great job you guys!
Listening through this made me really joyful, it truly feels like I'm fighting along side everyone. 1 year later and the resistance is still going strong
i guess i listen to it around 8-10 hours now... i cant stop...
edit: 14 hours in and still AWESOME
isnt only me that thinks everytime between aiwa and the mob sounds like windows is starting?!
This surpasses all art I've seen in my entire life.
Every game, every movie, anime, music, series, cartoon... None can surpass this in "being art" itself.
Imagine this whole banger of a mix mapped in Beat Saber 👀
Hahaha would be a challenge
And you fail halfway in
@@D_LGND OOH
My arms would fall off.
@@D_LGND halfway in the intro
Make this a thing! LP/EP Mixes when one releases, background is based on the song (if necessary).
Also, this is a sneaky move to add an Instinct song on Uncaged
I don't think I've ever enjoyed an album as much as I have this. Absolutely incredible. I hope I get to enjoy more powerful music from RIOT in the future!
