This year was a DnB Renaissance. Between the old guard of Delta Heavy, ShockOne, Feint, and MUZZ churning out hits, as well as some newer faces in REAPER, Bossfight, Bensley, and Mazare, with a resurgence of Protostar, all topped off with the return of Pendulum, DnB is back with a vengeance, and it's beautiful. To all of the artists who released this year, DnB and otherwise, thank you. Your efforts are appreciated.
If only the DnB was actually even good...

That’s probably because of the subscriber difference between the two and people like me who generally prefer the uncaged stuff more

The end of one of the weirdest years is coming, and with it come my most anticipated albums. Congrats to all artists featured in this mix, very well deserved, and hope to see a lot more from everyone in the following years. But for now, let's just hope 2021 brings more than this one has brought us, and that 2020 will only be something to remember soon.

The Uncaged releases were so good this year!
My favorites are:
"Somewhere Else" and "Star Glide" by MUZZ
"Dark Room" and "Redo" and "Tell Me" by Crankdat
"Butterfly Effect" by Koven.
almost all of those are my favourites too
this year for MC was incredible. so many fantastic songs. Tell me was in my top 10
My most favourite is definitely somewhere else along promised land LP...I always imagine a story behind the whole album and it always makes me feel like I'm somewhere else (pun not intended)

@@danalynch118 You can't compare the songs themselves, but you can compare the amount of good songs from each. In my opinion, Uncaged had many more great songs this year than Instinct, so I voted all Uncaged. But last year I felt the opposite and voted mostly Instinct

They were more memorable, better quality tracks on Uncaged than Instinct, where most of the tracks werent memorable nor did it really stand out alot in terms of diversity. I usually keep my votes fair 5 for each brand but for this year I end up picking 7 for Uncaged due to the statement ive mentioned.

This year is really an outstanding and different for monstercat. There are 6 artists each having three songs in the list. The artists are blasting through the quarentine with high quality music. Long live the cat!
This mix is really missing Ripped to Pieces VIP, DYSYLM and Shut my Mouth.
I just freaked out because it’s been almost an entire year since Shut My Mouth came out... WHAT?
To be honest (IMHO), this is one of the best mixes I've ever heard from Monstercat. I keep restarting it over and over.
The transition from Redo to Always In A Nightmare kinda cracked me up uncontrollably (with the vocals being pitched down), lol.
The COVID-19 pandemic may have been a terrible fate for us but this will give us some healthy doses of energetic music! Thank you so much Monstercat!

In case you were wondering, the voting this year differed in terms of, it was no longer 1 song per artist, hence why artists like Crankdat are on here 3 times, and why Instinct, with the smaller following, is intensely dwarfed compared to Uncaged. Hell, the #1 song on Instinct was Slushii’s RL tune.
Never mind that, though. This year for music was stellar, and don’t forget the monumental event next week: The remix exchange.
Au5, Pegboard Nerds, Darren Styles, Rogue, Stonebank, and Infected Mushroom are coming out with remixes of each other’s songs next week to celebrate the holiday season. (The remixed songs by which artists are unknown, kind of like a gift.)
also The Promised Land wins AOTY and no one can tell me otherwise.

Man, I had a major throwback moment listening to this for 2020 from back in February at the Monstercat Uncaged: Origins. I miss it 😭
Oh my, I even noticed that the color of all 3 structures (for Uncaged Vol. 8, 9 & 10) on the left side of the island, they're actually my top 3 favorite colors (blue, green & purple), and even by the closer shot (and as much as I love some of the songs here) I even LOVE how the purple & green structure & markings are put next to eachother on that side too as well! :D
Great mix, this year had a unique atmosphere. I will definitely come back after this. Thanks to everyone having taken a part in this amazing mix !!

The synths & melody here are so amazing! I'm glad a lot of people voted for your track to be on here! Even some of the lyrics from Essenger fit perfect with the background here too (in my opinion).

The transition between form and dark room is amazing
Oh golly! Even after listening to some of the 2021 released Uncaged songs multiple times in the past (not talking about Bad Computer of 2021 though), going back listening to this Uncaged mix here anytime (at least specifically any hour or any day) later afterwards had gave me a major ton a amazement flowing back inside of me! Especially the lyrics on some of the songs (like Star Glide & Neo Soul).
I can rock to MUZZ - Starglide for days, weeks even. I'm glad I clicked on this.
I like how Bittersweet is the only MCUV8 track in this compilation.

Imo, the transition between those two songs in the Uncaged Vol. 10 Album mix had gave me the chills (as a combination of Philips vocals with the outro on Form).
