Great question! It really just depends on your goals and what other foods you consume throughout the day to keep your sugar intake low if that’s what you are trying to do. Otherwise like I mentioned in the video it still has less than half the amount of sugar as a can of soda. :)

Yes! You can drink it like a regular drink. For me, I just drink a little bit per day. Some people who are new to it develop diarrhea if they drink too much too fast because their stomachs are not used to the increase in good gut bacteria so just be cautious. 😊
Whats the best time to have this kombucha drink, before or after eating, is it better to drink it on an empty stomach or after to help digest the food?
Great question! You can really drink it at anytime of the day. You get more probiotic benefits if you drink it on an empty stomach, but if you are newer to kombucha you might want to ease into that. Drinking it before/with a meal can help aid in digestion and make you feel fuller as it is a carbonated drink. :)

Hi, Doctor. I’m a newbie in kombucha drinking. Been hesitant for years to even try one. But today, I would like to try. However, I take maintenance daily. One (Levo…) for thyroid in the morning and one (…pril) for BP in the eve. I got the bloody orange-carrot-ginger flavor. My questions are: 1. Do I need to finish off a whole bottle? 2. How many hours should I let pass after taking med before drinking kombucha? Better yet, when’s the best time to drink this when you’re on maintenance daily? I heard long time ago that eating or consuming kombucha removes the efficacy of any medication. Thank you for your advice if you may. PS: I’M A NEW SUBSCRIBER OF YOUR CHANNEL.
Thanks for your questions! Due to its certain health benefits, kombucha can lower blood sugars, so it is best not to take with any diabetes medications or if you have low blood sugars. It is best to talk with your doctor if you are concerned about your other medications, although in general, it should not interact. Drinking kombucha in the morning on an empty stomach can provide better health benefits, but it can be consumed at any time. If you are new to kombucha, I don’t recommend drinking a whole bottle at first. Some people have had diarrhea from drinking an entire bottle when their body is not used to the probiotics and digestive enzymes. I usually just drink a few sips (sometimes more) a couple of times per day throughout the week and a whole bottle can last me 3 to 4 days. Hope this helps!
@@dr.lindsaymarie Yey! That’s what I thought… b’coz I’m a newbie, stretching a bottle’s content for, perhaps, a week will do for me. Because you mentioned this drink helps in lowering blood sugar, it reminded me of a drink we used to take long time ago which helped in lowering my mom’s blood sugar and helped me with PMS and cramps during periods. So, it made sense now to me when you said you take a couple of sips or two… which I shall do then. Thanks!🤗 (PS: I hope it won’t interact, too with my other supplements (Nature Made Diabetes Health Pack for diabetics and pre-diabetics, CholestOff, Milk Thistle, and Ferrous Gluconate).😁 What can I say? Old age catches up so fast.🤭

You can drink a bottle daily. If you are new to kombucha, I would start slow. Some have reported upset stomach or diarrhea if they are not used to it… I usually drink one bottle over two or three days.
I don’t believe so. A report in the Journal of Food Biochemistry found that when kombucha is made from green or black tea, kombucha has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Doesn't all kombucha require added sugar? The SCOBY needs food for the fermentation process and black tea leaves don't contain any sugar themselves. That leaves me to wonder where the "natural" sugars she mentions in the video come from.
You are right. What I meant to say at the end was that there is LESS sugar due to the “natural” fermentation process and the Scoby consuming it. In general drinking kombucha with 15 or less grams of sugar is healthier than drinking soda with 30 to 40 grams of sugar. 😉
I’ll say drink a shot every morning or anytime after you eat dinner (with a straw) because the acids are very strong it can make your teeth become brittle and thin … and don’t drink too much because it can cause damage to your stomach lining… hope this helps 😊
One bottle per day would be sufficient to get benefits. I actually drink less than a bottle per day, but you could drink more if you wanted to. Everything in moderation. 😉
@@dr.lindsaymarie I also didn't realize it helped with cramping because I'm also having that or rather I was before I started drinking it and I guess I hadn't even realized things that subsided 😊 thanks for the facts ... hi there, thanks for the video - could you provide the studies your are referring that is backing what you say about positive claims about Kombucha? thanks!
The studies come from the NIH on the NCCIH website. They do not reference kombucha but probiotics in general which kombucha contains. There are multiple ongoing studies on the gut Microbiome. It is complex because there is over 100 trillion microorganisms. To learn more on how probiotics impact a variety of health conditions check the NCCIH website.
Question: Is kombucha considered wine or is it considered a regular drink, just like natural juice? I want an answer in boring detail because Muslims are forbidden from drinking alcohol.
Good question. I hope this helps: Kombucha is a fermented drink, so it can contain alcohol. However, it typically only has trace amounts and is considered nonalcoholic. The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) considers kombucha nonalcoholic if it contains less than 0.5% alcohol.

Hi doc where can I buy kwambucha
@@babalwafihla2583 it can be found in most grocery stores (look near the produce section or the healthy food isle). It is also sold at Target and Walmart and health food stores such as Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s! ☺️
Well crap I just took my medicine and have been sipping on does kombucha since this afternoon 😢
How much sugar is in these drinks?
Less than half of a can of soda..
Just curious…do you or can you drink the entire bottle daily without any side effects?
You can drink a bottle daily. If you are new to kombucha, I would start slow. Some have reported upset stomach or diarrhea if they are not used to it…
I usually drink one bottle over two or three days.
How much do you drink in a day? A whole bottle?
does kombucha feed existing candida?
It's so easy and cheap to make.
Yes! Do you like adding flavor to yours?
I am going to practice Kombucha diet
Would love to try this drink ..but how you drink it by a shot ,
glass or the whole bottle a day ??? someone please enlighten me
I’ll say drink a shot every morning or anytime after you eat dinner (with a straw) because the acids are very strong it can make your teeth become brittle and thin … and don’t drink too much because it can cause damage to your stomach lining… hope this helps 😊
I think the sad thing is we won't see many broad studies on Kombucha and other fermented food as proof of it's benefits would cripple big pharma.
How much should you drink a day
One bottle per day would be sufficient to get benefits. I actually drink less than a bottle per day, but you could drink more if you wanted to. Everything in moderation. 😉
I Brew my own 4 to 6 Oz per day.
I didn't know if that was enough.
There is very minimal research on Kombucha. And the research done lacks the numbers. Still a very nice drink and healthier than most drinks
Not much research on kombucha, but there is more research on probiotics which kombucha contains ☺️
Im drinking the passion fruit tangerine mmmm
That’s a good one!
@@dr.lindsaymarie I also didn't realize it helped with cramping because I'm also having that or rather I was before I started drinking it and I guess I hadn't even realized things that subsided 😊 thanks for the facts ... If your tummy is bubbly after drinking it does that mean that it's just the bacteria doing good things or that my stomach might be getting upset because I did drink the whole bottle and haven't had it in months 😔
@@captainfoxheart you’re welcome! It activates the good gut bacteria which can cause things to get a little rumbly in the stomach. So if you are not used to drinking it, it is best to start off slow. 😊
Just got a bottle of the Cayenne Cleanse today. Definitely has some kick to it. Lol.

hi there, thanks for the video - could you provide the studies your are referring that is backing what you say about positive claims about Kombucha?
Can you direct me to any published, peer-reviewed studies that have been done IN PEOPLE that support these health claims? Thank you!
Had one had ginger
Hope you liked it :)
I'll believe anything when it's a beautiful intelligent woman.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Just bought mines today
So wait they all do the same thing no matter which one you get ?
Yes, they are just different flavors. Enjoy~
I drink one a day n don’t notice anything I just enjoy it very much
The effects may be subtle, but yes, it does taste very good!
Does kambucha have to be refrigerated before you open?
Kombucha should be refrigerated.
Gt's divine grape is soooo good 👌
Yummy! I’ll have to try that one 😊
How much are you to drink daily?
there's no way i can bring myself to drink one. It repulses me and it sucks since its so healthy! are there any alternatives that do the same thing?
Question: Is kombucha considered wine or is it considered a regular drink, just like natural juice? I want an answer in boring detail because Muslims are forbidden from drinking alcohol.
Good question. I hope this helps:
Kombucha is a fermented drink, so it can contain alcohol. However, it typically only has trace amounts and is considered nonalcoholic. The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) considers kombucha nonalcoholic if it contains less than 0.5% alcohol.
I use tea enemas for optimal results because drinking the tea the stomach acids weakens the potency.
Thanks for sharing
@@dr.lindsaymarie You are welcomed. Funny that I just got your reply and I just finished doing my tea enema.
