Cucumber, Tomato & Onion Salad

- Here is what you'll need!
Chopped Mediterranean Salad
Servings: 4
INGREDIENTS
2 cucumbers
4 tomatoes
1 red onion
½ cup feta cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup kalamata olives
PREPARATION
1. Cut cucumbers into discs, and then quarter the discs. Place into the bottom of the salad bowl.
2. Cut tomatoes into quarters, lengthwise, and then rotate and cut into large chunks. Place in the salad bowl.
3. Cut the red onion in half, removing the skin, stem, and bottom. Slice into thin strips (julienne), and place in the bowl.
4. Add feta cheese, olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and olives to the salad bowl and toss gently.
5. Enjoy!

I am Greek and in my Greek version of Greek salad I add instead of lemon I add black balsamic vinegar flavored with honey, red sweet peppers and fresh parsley also black pepper

Hey let's get over this I'm from Turkey and we have a salad like this made with cucumbers tomatoes onions green peppers, and salt vinegar and olive oil for it's dressing. It is literally called shephard salad. It's similar to this but we don't put olives and cheese.
U can thank the greeks for that after all turks migrated to modern day turkey and adopted everything from culture to culinary from the greeks and persians.
Cucumbers, tomatoes, lemon and salt is all I need. And if I have some, a little Trechas Chile Powder.
my family has always called this cucumber salad and its really popular in texas for barbecues and such
nvm we dont put cheese in ours and it's also got Italian dressing in it

This was very good, I made it today. I cut the recipe in half so that I could eat it through out the day. It was only about 800 calories (cuz I added extra feta lol)

no to be rude but there is an easier way to dice up those cucumbers, you should quarter it while keeping the cuke in tact like how you would dice an onion and then slice it that would be a great time saver, but seeing how I am 3 years late w/e

Try my version: cucumbers with skins, tomatoes, onions, coconut vinegar, red wine vinegar, olive oil, avocado, lime, artichoke hearts, cilantro, dill, 3 sweet leaf natural sugar packets, salt, pepper - YUM YUM YUM!!
It has the same ingredients as greek salad!
I guess it's missing bell peppers, olives, and lettuce...Personally I'm not a fan of cucumbers in my greek salad. Also, I usually don't add salt. From what I've seen it makes vegetables release moisture and you end up with a little puddle on the bottom of a salad bowl. Feta and olives usually provide plenty of taste in that regard. But hey, it's food. Whatever floats your boat :)

No red wine, no vinegar, no lemon, just some extra virgin olive oil and salt.
And you forgot the bell peppers :)
