🚂 Which engine was your favorite in the video? Let me know! 🚂
The Hiawatha was great. These are great videos! Thank you kindly for sharing your excitement for the hobby. Your honest energy is refreshing.
The MTH Premier Blue Comet Set!
Can't go wrong with the blue comet
Crescent Limited
NYC Commodore, I just got one, At least I think that's what the first is.
About 10 minutes in my son asks “where’s our friend Chris?” I told him he needs a break. “Because he talks a lot?” He asks 😂
I missed hearing Chris in this video too.
I will be back babbling on soon enough, haha! Recorded the segments for this week's video so it's go time :)
@@RBPTrains For me it was nice to just watch trains go around. When my little engineer is asleep, I’m usually downstairs working on mine with videos playing in the background and this one was definitely nice to have going.
@@RBPTrainsdo you think the real 1218 will ever run again
how about mounting a mini-camera on the train itself...has anyone done that yet?@@Dadified86
This was great. The camera angles made it all feel like an "I Love Toy Trains" episode from my childhood
Yes so nostalgia inducing! Love it
I would agree.
@@ewaldc2376Uhhh…. Yes
Thank you for sharing, there's something about trains, can't explain it ,but ever since I was little the magic of trains gives you enjoyment, love it ❤️🙏 thanks again 👍👏
remember sitting in the parking lot below the tracks and watching those giant double-trucked locos slowly start up...impressive machines!....
Really enjoyed this run session.
611 rules!
Nothing like the steam engines. Just let them run and enjoy
Outstanding video. Thank you very much for taking the time to record and post this video from so many different perspectives on your incredible layout.
WOW !!! AWESOME collection of fantastic trains and fantastic camera works!!!! That's a lot of TLC!!! Thanks for the BIG SHOW!!!!😊
Chris, incredible layout, awesome video. You are a Master!
And so it begins ... Halloween trains!!!!!
Great run session Chris! I'm all for passenger trains. Still drooling over your 49er Challenger; my favorite engine to date honestly. Fantasy schemes are just cool despite the nay-sayers. Thanks for sharing the fun and excitement that is model railroading.
Thanks David and great seeing you on here!
Absolutely awesome run session Chris!!!
This some fresh content
Great video, Chris! Thanks for putting this together and sharing!
Excellent video Chris. Loved every train in it but my absolute favorite(s)? The Milwaukee Road Hiawatha’s. On a scale of 1-to-10, they’re a solid 20!!
Chris, your layout and train collection are outstanding..But even more important and entertaining are your comments and narration..
WOW WOW WOW, what a great collection of steam, very nice video.
cars and all that steam don't always match up time wise...
Your videos inspired me to get into this hobby, thank you so much!
Glad to hear! It is a great hobby!
@@RBPTrainsit’s expensive as hell tho
This is without a doubt one of the BEST layouts I have ever seen! Great camera angles, fantastic assortment of locomotives & rolling stock! Your scenery is so good, never boring!
Thank you @rickpalo1!
I'm team n&w & b&o steam forever
Wow you got a lot done.
I Would you do All New York Central Engines O Gauge Please. ,
This is therapeutic, good stuff.
So cool to see so many trains run, I am almost finished with my drywall on the barn , then start bench work. Watch for videos.
The Hiawatha sets are stunning! The grey ghost Niagara is a close second.
Awesome collection Chris, beautiful locos, layout is terrific.😇👍👌
watching train videos on you tube i am amazed and delighted to find how many there are who share a hobby ive been into since childhood for some 60 years now and still just as into it as ever!
I love the Halloween "fright" train. lol
Agree! That one does all kinds of cool stuff, haha
need more diesel horns....@@RBPTrains
Definitely the Dreyfuss Hudson. I recently 'won' an MTH Dreyfuss at a Stout Auction and it finally arrived in Sydney, Australia. I was unboxing it as your video was showing your Dreyfuss!!! I've just got to get some of those matching grey coaches... Great video by the way - love the slow motion and correct sounds... well done! Pete
A hole running session without RBP?!😱the trains must have a mind of there own. I guess a Adults toys really do come to life after you leave the room after all. Great video chris! From the black bonnet to the PW Texas special and RBP run, this was epic!🚂
would like to see that control panel...must be a doozy!
BRO, Have you thought about adding on a HOBO Town to your lay out? It would go well with everything in your COOL SET>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGO CAT GO!!! The N.&W. IS SO COOL DADDYO1!😁😋😛💪💪👍👍👍👍👍
Hay BROTHERMAN, Cool video man. Brang on more Big daddy, we love everything you prepair for us!! Lets rock on cool cat!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!😃😁💛💙👍👍
Amazing
The track wire is probably overheating bc of its uses and age, so gonna try to find a brand new one if we can
❤ just love those bridges 🌉 and the trains too lol
3rd
Now you should run the hot dog 49er and your rbp engine with up ocs cars. Just an idea
Amazing video rbp
Thanks @trainfan4014!
Np
Great video Chris. I couldn’t help notice, you have many great articulates except a cab forward.
What a FANTASTIC VIDEO Chris!!! LOVED IT!
Amazing video Chris!!! My favorite at 18:39 to 19:22
“Model Train ASMR”
Haha, indeed!
I sat back, relaxed and enjoyed....thoroughly ! Thanks Chris 👍
So much fun watching these!! If you're ever near Nashville, let us know. We'd love to see that big grey New York Central 6001 playing on our layout!!
Will do!
Nice run session!
Nice seeing your many steam engines, I did order one of my bucket list trains last nt from Trainz, they had a used B&O EM-1 in good condition marked down well, and $25 off order for Labor day
Excellent! Great engine.
Can I make an I Love Toy Trains edit with this footage?
You were there the whole time.
Thanks for the speed and closeup precision of your collection. 👍
Love steam, can’t stand the aesthetic of diesel. Awesome video!
Hey Chris! Really enjoy your content! What kind of camera do you use? Thanks & Happy Railroading!!
Thanks! I do not have any fancy equipment. I just use a Sony Handycam that I got a few years back when my daughter was born and my phone. I like the optical zoom vs the digital zoom on the phone.
I loved the run for sure! But I do find your Introes entertaining.
I always love a great passenger train! The NYC passenger consist with the Dreyfuss Hudson is amazing. And the haunting whistle of the N&W 1218 is epic. Such an enjoyable video you created. Thanks Chris!
need to find a way to actually connect the passenger cars...a little fabric and some wire so that it flexes ought to do the trick...remember going from car to car when I was a kid...noisy and a little scary!
Best 30 minutes I’ve spent doing nothing in a long long time.
A few questions I hope you answer..
What radii are those two turnouts outside the tunnel feeds what I believe is a 30 degree crossover?
What Steam engine is that which has the steam pipes coming out of the bottom left side of the tender? Engine 6001.
Did you intend to have crooked, humpy track on the bridge? I like to see imperfect rails..when it makes the trains wiggle-that’s realism. 😁
Also the Halloween train is very timely.
Great video..
Tell the truth-did you have to use the handyman’s best friend to keep from talking? Or did you leave the room a bunch?
Thank you!
All of the tunnel turnouts are O72 (36" radius)
6001 is a Lionel Vision Line NYC Niagara steam locomotive
The Gargraves track on the bridge does have an imperfect look but that was more due to my poor modeling than intentional.
As for the no-talking - I just had a zip it and sit behind the camera :)
Cheers!
Your layout looks great, it always looks good, but the scenery look’s especially good on this video. I am building a new layout. 8 by 18, big for me, up from 4 by 8. Did you put homesote down or is you track bed right on the plywood? Thanks for the help.
Glad to hear you are working on a layout! My track bed on the main level is secured directly to the plywood table. My upper level track is secured to cork roadbed and then to the table. Much quieter up on the top lines but that is also due to the Gargraves track. Enjoy the build!
Thank you!!
Thihey rpb trains can you do a review on the hogwarts express
My brother has that set. Gonna need to borrow it when the new coaches arrive :)
Hi Chris. I like your Halloween train. I would like to make one up in HO scale for myself.but I don't know who would have the decals.
Cool idea! The graphics on the Camelback that you saw in this video were designed and applied by Lionel. You will probably have to find similar decals online or have some made to look similar as Lionel does not sell decal sheets. Good luck with your project!
"Pierce D. Hart"😮😃😄
Awesome video as always 👌
Nice and relaxing.
Agree, loud but relaxing and so much fun😀 I love it so much and this collection is on point!!🚂🚃🩰💯💯💯💯
I always love seeing the locomotives in your collection run.
As always, great & awesome video Chris, you definitely have a lot of trains that's for sure, VERY cool, the N&W 611 was my favorite & the 1218 was pretty cool too 🙂😊
Very nice. Your closing the realistic gap between you and Norm. Love the shot of you hanging out with the hobos.
Thank you for the kind words but my layout can't be compared to Norm, haha! His layout belongs on a movie set or in the Smithsonian :)
Hey rbp do you have the nickel plate 765; you should go on their excursion trips with the steam engine it’s lots of fun and you can volunteer there and volunteer on the steam locomotive I should know I volunteer wi try my dad it’s lots of fun
You bet! I should have included 765 in this video but I have run it in a few others. Hope to do the excursion trip one day. Thanks for watching!
@@RBPTrains no problem you also inspired me to build my own layout I have the Santa Fe and the polar express and two other steam engines it’s not much but it looks cool
Americana at its best love it
Rbp i am back after a long long time but now i have rebranded lol
Welcome back! Glad to see ya
After watching this video I had the warm sense that all is right with the world. The halloween train is a hoot. It was good to see the S1 running. There are a number of us who think a scale T1 would be a great addition to your layout.
I really loved that you did the scenes close in and at track level perspectives, drawing the viewer into the layout and all the action. Nice job.
So how many mini Chis figures do you have? I think I counted three but I bet there are more.
Thank you! I only have two of the little figurines. I move them around :)
This video has proven that steam engine models have definitely came a long way to make them even more like their counterparts with the smoke units, engine sounds and more. The details are also amazing, great video
Very Very cool
The 611 pulling the Strasburg Train, with the Reading Heavyweight on the rear, just like the prototype.
12th
Excellent trains would have liked to see HO as that’s what I’m running most is New York Central but look forward to your next video keep them coming
There’s a whistle i realy like at the 15 minute mark, what model is it from? It sounds beautiful
That is the MTH Premier N&W unshrouded J-Class. It is an older model but you can find them at Trainz .com and eBay. Thanks for watching!
@@RBPTrains, can i lay out my track in a tree shape? I had a track plan that consists of a main line with branches to the different industries coming off of it, will that work or should i try a different shape? My layout is called the inverness and highland railway, i’ve made some of the scenery, it’s not set in any particularr era, all of the locomotives are steam powered, which is why i’m going to have acoal mine, i’m also going to have a lumber mill, a livestock contract, a passenger service, a fabric and wool train and a milk train, i haven’t built any of the buildings yet,
Sweet running session!
Did your daughter know you had the 'orange creamsicle' out?
Keep having fun Chris!
There’s something so……familiar and un familiar about an unstreamlined J steam loco…….i like it
chris, do you not read my comments? i have complimented several of your locos, and layouts but have not recieved even one reply! just cueious man.
14:11 Is that a pink Commodore Vanderbilt?!
Hey Chris do you think I can run my O scale santa fe tubular track version on the regular O guage tracks?
I was on TikTok last night and saw a clip in the model train section and immediately recognized the fireplace.!!!
Amazing layout amazing job have a wonderful weekend
Great video Chris. So many wonderful trains. Loved it
Very cool, but your talking perspective is always welcome!
Locomotive wise had the orange stipe down the side but the halloween themed train I kept going back too
The hobo union called. They said they are happy you added a hobo camp.
My 7yr old son has Atusim and loves trains thank you for sharing he cannot get enough of your videos .
2:42 Ima Gawner "I knew this would happen" 🤣🤣🤣
I want that on my headstone!
Do you use hollow or solid rail track. I was told. Solid rail track is quieter than hollow.
👍
I thought everything was boring!@#!.
Just wanted to know if you have any Reading Railroad engines in your fleet
thumbs up, and double thumbs up! absolutely fabulous man!!
👍👍👍
😊
Cinders and ashes! That’s what I call the RBP steam team!
Finally, some good ASMR
I seen you hanging with the hobo’s 😂
What a beautiful set of trains and scenery that you have
if you are in Maryland where is some B&O.
i even subscribed to your channle.
O gauge steam train asmr
That New York Central is the best Ive seen
