This maybe an odd question Robert, but how do you normally drive?
Once my engine has fully warmed up I tend to drive fairly hard using most most of the available rev range.
My daily driver is a modern turbo diesel.
Merry Christmas to you as your family

      Nice one!
Generally I tend to aim for best fuel consumption, so lots of feathered throttle.
However, when competing, or just for the joy of it, I'll use the full 7000rpm (on our own built engines) - these motors love to rev when they have twin carbs.
The single carb engine really doesn't want to go over 5000rpm, it's all about the mid range torque.
