In Northern Ireland during the troubles, everyone was stopped and searched as we went through barriers into the city centre. In most of the large shops they had security searching you on the way in. At night you may be walking home and police pull up in front of you to get your details and to search you. None of us complained because we knew it was to stop the destruction of the shopping area and to preserve life. There were some who protested against it. They were the IRA, the people who wanted to destroy the city and to kill. Those who do not want 'stop and search' offer no alternative to stopping knife crime. Therefore, they support knife crime. Dont let these stupid people influence you.
