I have finally found a political party that makes sense to me the SDP are my party from now on! very happy .

Im in burnley and dont think ive ever had the chance to vote for the SDP. This year there is an independent candidate who used to be in the SDP, I will be voting for him. Ive only really just looked into the party as I knew nothing about them, but their policies are near enough perfect for me. They dont seem to get any air time or mentioned anywhere really, which is a shame as i really think a lot of normal working people would find them very appealing. And the leader seems to be the best of all the party leaders.

I really wish they were not called the “elite”. That is no doubt how they see themselves- they are elitists but as a humble middle class professional I can say I have little time for them and lots of contempt.

If our country was united and safe from inside threat, I would definitely vote SDP, but alas it’s not.

What evidence is there that fossil fuels contribute to global warming? If the UK adds less than 1% to the global total of carbon dioxide how can the UK so called “net zero” policy impact on the world output when the world’s largest contributors are expanding their fossil fuel output?

Plain and simply there are too many going to university, 50% according to a 2019 BBC article, and there are too many sub-par universities that really don't give you much bang for your buck and take someone out of the workforce for 3 entire years. The UK government itself acknowledges that only 61%, for 2023/4 but for 2022/3 only 21%, of students will pay back their loans and by the mid 2040s there will be £460 billion in outstanding student loan debt, which to me is indicative of how poorly many students fare after uni.

The Higher Education sector needs reforming and the SDP has the answers to how this should be done.

Amy - you speak so much sense. Very sadly, you tried to be the Mayor of a city that has lost all of its senses - in all senses of the word.

Though I agree with Reform's cultural message, and confronting the pro-migration lobby, I also fundamentally disagree with neoliberal economics. It might be "pro success", but it's also profoundly anti-society. Financial success should not rest on rampant mercinary individualism. That's how we've ended up where we are. The SDP are offering a much more pragmatic, cohesive approach on that front, so I finally feel like I have a political home. Just a shame that the "natural-Labour" parts of the West Mids (we all know what that means), aren't running SDP candidates.

This is the party that I and everyone I know would, yet can't, vote for!

I wish you were standing in my constituency Mr Hibbert as you asked me back in October what seat I was after saying how I wished we had an SDP candidate.

As someone who wants what Reform offer on culture and immigration, but is put off by their low tax/no tax neoliberal economic solutions, the SDP was a welcome discovery for me. I hope that the SDP's star rises, as their manifesto is undoubtedly the best fit for this country. My only gripe is the prioritising of social housing for married couples. I understand the reasoning, but there should also be a provision for single citizens also. As a single person, you pay a premium for renting and buying (no one to split costs with), so hopefully they won't be deprioritised as a rule.

He supports farage now.....its the only sensible option this time.
