    Actually rebels tended to do what they wanted most of the time off duty. The ghost crew worked on various things that they wanted to do. Hera learned hyperspace lanes and Astro navigation, Ezra worked on tech mostly but worked on Jedi skills, kanan taught Ezra but also did games, zeb worked on various pieces of tech on the ship but mostly fixed up his staff and worked on combat skills, and Sabine had her art but also worked on her arsenal of weapons she took from battlefields. A lot of rebels had kids after the Death Star blew up that’s for sure. Luke constantly had to learn Jedi skills from where he was but also worked on his piloting, leia worked on battle plans but tried learning politics, chewy worked on tech but also worked on bow casters and any Wookiee tech that showed up, Han worked mostly on the millennium falcon but also worked on his blaster. The point is everyone has something they do just you don’t see it.

      @trianglemoebius Рік тому +3

      The advanced aging and stuff wouldn't have been passed onto the clone's children, since it wasn't natural to the clones. They'd basically breed the clones as "normal" life, then modify their DNA as needed while they still in utero. In TCW, this is also how the managed to get the chips in.
      They'd still look an awful lot like Fett, though, since apparently part of the cloning process was to make all their genes dominant. This is also why Boba and Jango were so important: cloning "modified" clones would end up with all the issues of incest and result in a pretty poor army.

      @playtime_foxy Рік тому

      @@trianglemoebius nah routine medical stuff would be having a proper repair, having a faulty circuit or joint fixed, a head adjustment is more of a comfort than a functionality, besides they probably had droid spas and all sorts to keep them in assembly line shape so their up to standard, funny thing is with troops, even mechanical ones, the more comfortable they are in their base of operations and the less exhausted or depleted they are the more effective they are in battle, so I imagine battle droids had a pretty good life off the battlefield and away from officers who treat them like scrap, I believe they deserve some luxury...

      Hence why they went their separate ways. Personally I prefer Canon’s version. All the same though, it does make me wonder how 79’s got started. Was it backed by the government? We’re the Jedi behind it? Or was it just some local who was a fan of the clones? And between the three options there were, I have to say the clones win? There is some bias as they are my favorite Star Wars characters, but as we see in Star Wars Rebels, off-duty stormtroopers on Lothal took over Old Jho’s bar and made it so unpopular, most civilians stopped coming. A major contrast with how 79’s still has plenty of non-clone patrons. As for the Rebels, being on the run and staying low meant they couldn’t have normal R&R most of the time. At least until the rise of the New Republic, but that was in the last year of the war.

      @@rosesweetcharlotte Yeah, are you sure about that? Some women are talking with clones, but we don’t even get to see the whole bar and there are a lot of droids, some even dancing. I doubt most non-clone patrons were their to snag some private time with a clone. I figure most people attend this bar instead of others because they have high fascination in the clones and want to see what they’re like. Otherwise, their visits are no different than those at other bars. The best counter I can make to your point is the question of if clones have money? I’m doubtful about that given how giving the clones pensions is itself a divisive point in the Senate. Seems more likely the army just paid for things they couldn’t provide. By that logic though, that would mean 79’s was a government establishment. They’re just isn’t enough evidence to support or refute this. Anyways, no pay means no money to exchange in return for losing one’s virginity. Dates at least seem possible, but I wonder if most people wouldn’t pursue such things with clones given how they all looked the same to people, not to mention being on the frontlines for so long. It’s not like the military will tell them if their boyfriend was dead. So in my opinion, most female patrons in the bar are just normal patrons. They flirt with clones, but I doubt most do anything beyond a conversation.

    I mean the fear for genetic diversity by the kaminoans never sat right with me to begin with. I don’t remember how many clones there were in the entire GAR, but like Coruscant alone had trillions of people living on the planet, and not every clone would be stationed there anyway. I could see it in a case by case basis but on large planets I don’t think the clones could really put a dent in the gene pool.
    Edit from what I researched about 8 mil clones were “produced”, which seems insanely low to me. But to be fair I think star wars rarely does scale properly.

    • @trianglemoebius
      @trianglemoebius Рік тому

      8 mil clones were produced *per unit*, but we have no idea how many units there were so it's really meaningless.
      That said - yes, it didn't really make sense from a genetic standpoint, since most of the clones would never even see Coruscant, but I assume a big part of it was a liability issue. As pointed out: The clones weren't entirely super-mature, even if you take out the fact that they were all basically custom-bred to be sociopaths as to make them more effective soldiers.
      Imagine the PR disaster that would be GAR soldiers running around the Republic capital committing mass-r*pe. I always assumed the "genetic diversity" thing was a cover story to disguise that as a thing that would happen. It'd be really bad optics if the people knew the Clones were being kept away from them to avoid, again, mass-r*pe, where as "genetic diversity" makes it sound like all the sex would be consensual.
