I've been involved in martial arts for 30 years, when I was just a blue belt, I was defeating world champion women in sparring. This is why men don't accept women in these roles they're unrealistic. These people seem to have forgotten all the previous strong female leads. Lets start with Omega, Hera, Mon Mothma, Asoka, Asaj Ventress, Padme and Princess Leia. As a male, I loved these characters and wish they had been given more screen time. They were well written, strong characters that fit into George Lucas' vision. The current regime at Disney has no knowledge, love, and feel for the basic backbone and story thread of what Star Wars is. They need to all go away and we fans should stay away until if and when they return to good writing and the vision of George Lucas.
If they predicted this was going to happen and they did it anyway, then they created a pre-meditated failure. How Kathleen Kennedy still have a job is beyond all comprehension.

What these people fail to understand, in my opinion, is that no one cares about their sexual orientation. A person's sexuality should remain a private matter with each of us, but they have chosen to make it front and center and, in fact, are using their sexual orientation as a political/ideological tool. This assertion that the average Star Wars fan is a misogynist who is afraid of women is patently absurd and completely fails at understanding the Star Wars franchise, the rich legacy and the original audience for which it was intended (families!). Instead, these individuals have chosen to cast all of that aside, in favor of this self-centered, entitled, egocentric agenda, driven by an ideology that subverts everything beautiful about Star Wars. That these efforts are wholly rejected by the fan base is clear testament to the fact that they grossly misunderstand - and do not respect - their audience. They chose their politics and ideology over the desires and interests of their audience. Add to this the abysmal writing, directing and acting and you have a recipe for disaster. They can blame the fanbase all they want. The abject failure of this project falls squarely on the shoulders of the writers, director, actors and producers. What they have done to the Star Wars legacy is shameful, disrespectful and, frankly, disgusting.

I find it funny because the whole reason Disney bought Lucasfilm was because of the perceived Value. The value covered the audience, community and perceived future income the franchise can provide Disney.
Then, they change it or as they claim "update it" and are crying when the fans who followed the original Star wars, that Disney saw as their money making machine for the foreseeable future aren't buying it again.
They forget that they are trying to change the franchise from what it was into something else and in doing so, are also clipping away the audience and community that brought this franchise to life in the first place.
They should have just created their own series and built their own community instead of crying every time the community that brought the original Star Wars to life are literally telling them this is not how it's done.
Lastly, Disney go get writers that can actually write stories and not this grade third shit you put on TV.

The Issue of Acolyte is not about one group vs another and their different points of views of political or gender issues. It is not about Men vs Women and or gender equality. The Issue is that the Acolyte had bad writing and scripts, had bad acting, bad casting and did not stay with the core Star Wars narrative. I loved star wars because of a galaxy far from "modern" realities. Unfortunately the powers over the star wars IP have made it a platform to force their own extreme points of view and what their realities of the "modern" world are in parody film form. We watch Star Wars for the Epic space adventure, it's heroic characters and look to escape into it far from our "modern" divisiveness. Please keep The Modern Away from star Wars because hate invites the Dark side of the Force.
