I appreciate your presentation being clear & concise. You didn’t waste time lallygagging etc. My agenda was looking up a piano tutorial on how to make a simple beat and you provided an excellent explanation bro! 👍🏽
Very useful I have had this psr E413 Yamaha keyboard since February and I am just beginning to work out that it records stuff which is really cool and now I discovered instructions on line it is really helpful.
How You Record Drums is press REC + A (or whatever accompaniment button you have), then choose the style which is drums for lack of a better word since styles can include bass but only if you start recording by pressing a note. If you just press play, it will just play drums. Choose your drums style and then maybe press INTRO so you have a lead in. You can choose an alternate intro (B) by pressing MAIN and then INTRO again. Now press PLAY to start recording the accompaniment track without accompaniment. You should probably add fill-ins at changes or phrases. Experiment and plan out your song or loop. This is a fun feature that is glossed over or ignored in tutorials. If you want to infinite loop you can't internally without external midi software working with the keyboard.
Thank you! Didn’t think I would find a video for my old Yamaha, but I guess this was made in 2010 haha. I never knew how to record and never really needed it until this quarantine lol. Thanks a bunch. Is there anyway you can repeat your recording as a loop without any pausing? I see the button but can’t get it to do anything 🤔
Please help!! Is there a way to record like a background bass style of your own over an already recorded track? In other words, a way to record while playing along to a recorded track so the two things you are playing are fused together into a single track?
Vellaisamy Krishnan when you go into the song select menu if you go to the very end of the list it will say user 1 - 5 those are the songs. Sorry for being two years late
Thanks never herd how to play back, , If I may ? How to use direct access the effect , I have a learning disability , I just can't get how to us the access direct , and how to use them. please
@rjb094 yes there is if you go to the settings or function part of the keyboard and search for m. octave or main octave you can move the octave up or down to get the right octave
Excellent Tutorial - V.Easy to understand. Looking forward to trying this out. / Please can you tell me, when you've finished recording the tracks needed will it automatically save them in the memory for when the keyboard's next switched on, or should a button be pressed before switching off to ensure this? Thank you
Nice thanks for the help, do you know if there is anyway to record a track and then layer on top of it other instruments? if there is a way that would be awesome if you did a video over that too!
Mr Derek..I just bought a dgx 202. everything works like yours..same recording process..but how do you change the sounds without losing your previous track. if I'm using piano..how do I change to a bass ?sound
Brotha, when your done recording on one track make sure your press the voice button that goes back to the sounds scroll to your sounds then press record and the other track. I can email you a video of you want. Peace!
@MsALCHEMY1 after the track is done recording it should say writing or saving on the keyboard screen after that is done it is saved so you can turn it off anytime
Pretty good but can you expand on this ... it's literally the only video on the internet of how to record tracks on a yamaha keyboard. Like most others I'd like to see how to lay down a drum / percussion track and then add to it ... also we never got to hear your tracks play - or see how to play them.
Dude. I recently acquired a nearly 30 YEAR old psr-630. Is the record feature the same? It has floppy disks with it still lol I remember the Casio wk-1350 from back in the day but this thing? Yikes
I am having a little trouble with connecting the USB cord from my keyboard (same one as your's) to my computer. Is there another way of connecting the keyboard to the computer? Because my computer cannot find my keyboard.
I record my track everytime but when I want to switch to like strings or something it won't let me! What do I do to make it switch the sounds? Sorry I'm kinda new to this whole piano thing
I used a certain "voice" for one of the tracks, but I do not remember which one I used.. Is there any way to easily select what I used and played with for that certain track number?
It doesn't have an aux/mic input. It records midi data not audio so it couldn't record voice if it wanted. You will need an amplifier if the goal was to sing live or an external recorder if the goal is to record. Tascam multitrack recorders are very good for this or learn to use a computer software and buy a usb audio interface.
Do you know if theres a way to make the keyboard sound lower? Like take a note and shift it an octave lower to get the low notes that are on piano and not a keyboard
help, i have a yamaha DGX 640 and whenever i press record and play a note the style background music plays as well, how do i turn that off? i just want to record my piano playing by itself
