@@rellek4053or if you're garbage like me you take 40 mins deciding which legendary lord to even start a campaign with. I bought all the dlcs except shadows of change but havent played over half the factions
@@jackh7977 what i've learned that help me get past that phase is if you don't like the look of the lord just go into a quick campaign with them they may end up as your favorite. even if you still have a lot left that you want to try its still worth it to save them and try the ones that you don't have much interest in.
Lore-accurate chaos army: huge demon that carries all the fighting, a couple of utility underlings and a random mishmash of groupies who just sit there making fighting noises (not actually fighting).

Mortals cower and heavens tremble upon hearing the sound of his unholy name - Daniel.
Daniel is definitely the standout of his faction (which isn't hard, unfortunately). And he DESPERATLY NEEDS some faction improvements.
Why do WoC get all the Daemons but DoC don't get all the mortals?
Why can't DoC upgrade their daemons to exalted like WoC with warband?
Why aren't there ANY Daemons that WoC can't get access to?
Why can't DoC use Chaos Lords and Sorcerers to get Daemon Princes?
Why can't Daniel easily vassilize or confederate like other chaos factions?
There are plenty of Daemons in the DoC roster that WoC do not get. Exalted Seekers, Change bringers, Deathheads plague drones, those Khorne Cows, Burning chariots... you get the idea
As for not having other Daemon princes, that makes sense as Daniel is the one to lead, and I doubt he would trust others.
But his faction is still trash lol
1) Cause they aren't called "Mortals of chaos".
2) Fair point. But DP can just recruit them which's much faster than gaining xp and then upgrading.

I don't think he'll get any real updates. Try mods that removed the limit for Outpost Recruitment. That's not the answer most want to hear, but this quote comes to mind: Why do hot dogs come in packages of ten, but hot dog buns come in packages of just eight?

Hey you can check hero level outsuide battle. Just pretend to use your own agent action and you'll see the target's level.

For an LL who is supposed to be extremely customisable there only two viable options for him. The early game Mortis Engine, and the late game Heavy Plate undivided (+20 physical resistance for all units.)
I know the mortis engine build, but what's the heavy playe undivided build?
@@leowei771 If you make it to the end of the undivided glory you will have unlocked his heavy plate armor. This boosts him with extreme physical resistance, 160 armor, and boosts his army with 20 physical resistance and 15 more armor per unit. It's decent if you have a good elite army but it's not cheesy. (Unless you fill your army with almost immortal Daemonettes) And being very tough to kill means nothing if you have no magic, crowd control or mortis engine effect.

@@Samagachi Many people don't realise this, but you can also change his build constantly, mid-campaign. You can for example use the mortis engine build before a siege, switch to plate set for a tough land battle, equip full antilarge before a battle with large entities or go full tzeenchian sorcerer for a battle against a lot of missiles. I fully believe you can make the Daemon prince work with enough imagination. But I think it's shit that he has a shit-boring marauder early game and he can't recruit Daemon Princes to make diverse daemon armies with generic lords
The full plate set is cool and looks cool and is by far the best specialised set thanks to these army bonuses.
But the best Daniel will always be the one with mortis engine effect, health regen head and the other pieces optimised for boosting his stats tho.

Yeah that's pretty much the best combination of daniel items.
What's the most important is health regen on the head and the mortis engine effect on the wings + tail. The 2 active skills come naturally with some of the best arms & legs statistically.
For the weapons it's also just best going weapon and shield since 2 handers are worth it on daniel.

I wish Daniel was a WoC so badly. There’s no reason for him not to be one anyways! Give him earlier access to better demons, and maybe some demon specific shrines that could allow him to recruit some lesser demons without the WoC system. I’d play him a ton, and he really fits the whole “customizable chaos” that have made the WoC tied as my favorite race, and I never even owned them before WH3!
Let him have access to warp entities that arnt from chaos to, that be cool
honestlly i think they need to fix him, rather than changing him to WoC. WoC already has 8 lords, the most of any race in the game. Daniel as his own faction is more interesting, they just need to change some things. LIke the khorne income bonus (enemy lord in the province? so dumb), redline so it buffs units from different gods, combat skills for daniel, a tech tree, a way to give some of the spare daniel equipment to different lords etc.
Plus WoC are so powerful they can get a bit boring.
Maybe having the ability to upgrade their demons to Moulder type versions of their demons. Using the blessing of the 4 chaos gods, and damm, even mixing blessings between demons (for example, a barrier for khorne berzerkers)
Nah, he's fine in terms of faction/roster.
He just needs access to better aspects of the gods (better plagues, better Khorne buffs) and better items.

Daniel as a super strong, flying Mortis Engine with regen is super slept on. Honestly it's better than any of the dedicated sets in terms of effectiveness IMO.
I like to think Daniel enjoys listening to Elton John as he goes about his dark journey.

Daniel can be very strong because of mortis engine + regen. But his faction sure do need a huge buff.

Yep, when they're all AI controlled they just make friends and ally but soon as one is played by the player ITS WAR. The anti-player bias is so extreme in this game I've had Grimgor run through 3 other enemies territories to attack me.

When using spells on artillary is it vetter to target the actual machines to destroy them or the crew to try to kill them or does it not matter

That's it I'm gonna sat it, Daniel was fun and interesting on release and while I'm sure they planned on selling the most malicious micro transaction garbage for him I really did want them to expand on his play and devotion mechanic.
Maybe should have sent the Giant instead of Daniel at the metal wizard near the end there.
WHO IS A GOOD DANIEL
He's a pretty good LL in a fight, and even if he wasn't it's super easy to get zero upkeep on your army. So how good do you have to be when you've got a stack of mutalith vortex beasts or whatever that are backed by healing magic.
Zero upkeep? I've only ever gotten down to like 65% upkeep.
@@skeith1543-25% from his tech tree, -30% from his skill tree, -60% from his armor set, and up to -20% from bloodletting. I'm not sure if they're additive or multiplicative, but I've definitely reached zero upkeep at max bloodletting. It still goes up though from supply lines. Either way it's very low.

Daniel should always have double mortis engine. I mean from turn 4 to 400. You gets mortis engine twice in firsts gifts of Nurgle and Tzeentch.

His faction is bad overall but there is no need to question about how damn effective of his double mortis and gorefeast that he got like in first 10 turn and will be use them for rest of campaign

I still think Daniel is the coolest feature that they added in TWW3. I just think they need to tie his tech progress more to getting the parts and some other tweeking that escapes my mind. So may cool demon parts they added and had to make that most people don't see because the faction sucks.

No. He finished with WH2. Try sending them to PZA Total war if you really need one saved.
With Daniel auto-resolve just assumes you will loose.

If I recall correctly, CA put out a promo vid about him and in that video said you could call him whatever you want... including Daniel. The nickname stuck and everyone has been calling him Daniel ever since.
