UA-cam algorithm overlords isn’t that kind to your channel, I was actually looking for a different channel when I accidentally stumbled onto this one. What a gem! You deserve more subs and views.
Yekaterinburg is not a Siberian city. This is the Ural city, the Urals and Siberia are completely different regions. Also, Russia is not divided into the "European part and the Asian part". Russia is divided into "Central Russia", "Southern Russia", "Ural", "Siberia" and the Far East. In Russia, you won't hear the word "Asian part of Russia" or anything like that at all, it sounds like nonsense
We are not from Russia. The way the guy explained it , it is the way we learn it here in Europe. European Russia and Asiatic Russia. And Siberia spans from Urals to the end of time😂.
@@extraditori6604 Looking at the recent events, Russian capital needs to be in Moscow. Its is close to border of unfriendly countries who are trying to weaken it and dismember it. Having Moscow right up in west enforces russian hold on the western border from the EU NATO cancerous infection trying to seep into russia and trying to sow discord with the local population. Just like in war where the General leads form the from the front, russian capital needs to be in the frontlines and push back.
@@extraditori6604 Moving capitals isn't a joke. All major governmental offices are located in Moscow. NATO is a modern development. But Moscow has stood as the Russian capital on and off for centuries. During the Imperial times, Saint Petersburg was the capital; which lies across Scandinavia. But that is the natural position of the Russian heartland - where 80% of the population lives. The vast majority of Russians live in Europe. Not in Siberia or the Ural Mountains.
The data shown at 8:57 is actually very far from true. An average person living in Yekaterinburg earns around 40-50k rubles (around 760 USD). IT specialists, for example, could earn from 150 to 300k rubles (2500 - 5000 USD) per month after tax.
The data is over 1 year old and the exchange rates are changing rapidly nowadays after certain events. Your comment is only 1 months old and Yekaterinburg average salary is still around 50k rubles (53 706₽, to be precise), but it already worth $870 now, a month later.
Also the raw exchange rates are pointless without taking purchasing power parity in consideration. The prices in Yekaterinburg is not the same as in New York, and for the $870 in Yekaterinburg you may purchase as many goods as you would need around $2000 in US average.
I awayls wanted to asked u if ur russian or an russ enthusiast hahahah I dont know about everyone Else, but i watched ALL your vids about Rússia especcialy because its Very hard to find a Very good source as you, that talk so much about one single region. I probally watched hundreds of UA-cam vids about Rússia and If werent u i would never Heard about the 4° largest city in the country Keep the good work Man!!! (Argentina noo, come to Brasil, citys like Brasília, Angra dos Reis or Manaus would make some awesome material)
@@caiomozer9093 Thanks for the watch time, its super appreciated! I'm half Russian from Latvia. I speak the language(some 30% of Latvians speak Russian) so it helps with the pronunciations. Naturally, I gravitate towards Russian history as I didn't know anything about it before starting this channel Another reason is that the competition is low. There is a reason why you're not finding many good videos about Russia. So I'm filling that gap. I have another friend called Caio from Brazil we worked together in Dublin, Ireland

Спасибо за видео про наш город!
And thank you for the comment!!
Excellent informative video.
Your channel deserves more views and i know there should be a huge demand to it. I think youtube is deliberately downrating your channel.
It would be great if in one of the following videos you paid attention to Chelyabinsk, another large industrial city of Ural.
Hey kid,I'm a West county Dublin fan, maps and geopolitics are my compulsive hobby's,im very proud of what you're doing,it's top class, stay classy
Nice :D
This channel deserves a raise!!

Wow, thank you :D
Great video! Your production quality is very high for the small size of your channel
Found you from KhAnubis
Interesting and nice channel good luck!
Nice, thanks for checking me out
Russia should strategically move its capital, in whole or in parts, to Yekaterinburg.
Makes sense the eastern approach is protected by Siberia and the west by the Urals.
? Makes no sense. Russia's core is Moscow and cultural capital is Saint Petersburg.
@@ablorenz Mocsow is too close to border making it easy too invade, especially after fall of Soviet union
