      On a solid ground it is even harder but it is a good test of leg strength there are a lot of people who cant do it.

    Hey, thank you so much for this video series!! 😍😍
    Despite playing tournaments for 4 years in Switzerland on B level (and winning some) I always have been struggling to understand how to do a propper arm swing to have consistent power when hitting. I learned by watching videos and taking general advice on how to do it, but it was never enough detailed.
    I like how you explained step by step what stretches/strength you need to do the right move. Now I'm confident that I can learn the right way to swing and take my game to the next level! 😄💪🏼💪🏼
    Tanks again!!

    Really helpful video. The best tip I heard was (wind blowing, wind blowing, wind blowing). Ha ha. jk. I love how you break down the elements to actionable steps or stretches. Great timing since my niece is coming into town and she wants to improve hitting. Wish we were in your area.

      @@betteratbeachvolleyball I do have a question. My legs, particularly my quads and IT band are really sore, even tender, more on the right leg. I have some arthritis in the knees, right is worse. I don't do any squats because either I'm playing volleyball or too sore to do it. Should I alternate workout days and volleyball days? I want to strengthen my legs.

    IMPORTANT QUESTION! What do u mean that it's the only stretch that doesn't deaden ur explosiveness? Do u mean only static stretch? Only hip flexor stretch? If u could clarify that would be awesome

    • @nathansedzik8012
      @nathansedzik8012 3 роки тому

      I would like to know too! I often do static stretches the day before tournaments and try to maintain it 2-3 times per week. It helps me feel more loose, so I wonder why it should be counterproductive for explosiveness.

    • @yourmother5810
      @yourmother5810 2 роки тому +1

      @@nathansedzik8012 Static stretching a day before a tournie isn't bad it's when you do it right before intense explosive movements or don't do it often. A statically unstretched muscle actually produces more force than a stretched out one. It has to do with losing the springiness of the muscle and the increased range of motion leaving you in a weaker position due to physics. Better to dynamic stretch.
