40:59 A rotor arm is within the ignition distributor on older engines with a carburetor. Ignition distributor is what spins and makes contact with each spark plugs cable end making a spark at the plug being powered off from the cam gear on an engine which is what regulates engine timing which is connected by often a chain to the crankshaft. Without a rotor arm the engine will not fire and cranking on the engine will cause the engine to flood. The only way a person would discover the sabotage is to remove the clips and cap of the distributor It's not something allot of people see on vehicles today as all modern engines have computerized fuel injectors which each cylinder has at least one ignition coil that does the work the distributor use to do. Also, diesel engines do not have an ignition distributor at all. Never went to school for automotive but have an older brother that did.

I love the whole "what doesn't kill you will make you stronger" bit. Because think about it. As you progress, there are opportunities for you to return and re-do things (even if it is another playthrough, idk how it all works yet). You return with the knowledge of what you already did and what you haven't done and are now 'stronger' in a sense. It opens a whole new world to find new secrets and stuff. Kinda cool
25:15 the reason they reference Evil Dead though is because Ted Raimi plays the Sherriff/Cop guy and he's the brother of Sam Raimi, the director of Evil Dead... and Spider-Man. Ted also appears in Evil Dead himself.
I think the scariest thing about “Slasher-Film” type games is the limitation of choice and freedom when facing danger. Most important actions are QTE’s rather than you making ALL the decisions which kinda waters down the scary for me.
