    American here. I had never heard of a murray cod until UA-camr BigBassDreams went down under and posted some cool footage. What a great species! I hope to catch one some day. Have fun guys

      The bait just prior? It was a Solarfall soft bait we had several limited runs of. Mikko makes great lures, well worth looking him up! @solarbaits

    Awesome stuff JC. Very well put together.
    I loved the part about dumping braid due to poor hook up rates.
    My cod fishing is much different than yours, I still love my braid.
    I do however refuse to use braid for my trout fishing. Line stretch is critical with fish that jump and carry on, just as it no doubt is with monster Murray cod.
    Great work mate.

      @ebbtidetackle  5 років тому +1

      Thanks Robbie! You know i still love braid too, would be the first thing I use in the Murray but for swimbaiting in lakes fluro is now my first choice, horses for courses I say! Hope you are well bud.

    Hey great video do tou know what area ir part if the lake is best for the cod or where is the most structure i have never fished at eildon so tips would be good but if you like to keep secrets thats perfectly fine 🎣🎣🎣 great video bro

    • @ebbtidetackle
      @ebbtidetackle  4 роки тому +1

      Man we have caught cod in every arm of Eildon, they release them all over the lake so there is no best spot, trust me! Just find a bank with nice structure and fish it hard, it's better than zooming all over the lake looking for the magic spot!

    i dont understand why people have such a low hook up rate with braid. Softbait, glidebait, segmented baits etc no issues. You guys aint trying to set hooks like the bass guys are ya hahaha ?.

    • @ebbtidetackle
      @ebbtidetackle  4 роки тому

      It's a pretty common issue from a bunch of guys I know whether you strike or not! How do you go with it?

    • @Ozzierob
      @Ozzierob 4 роки тому +1

      Don’t usually have any issues man after the initial tick. Dead hands is the key I reckon. Soon as that hook pricks they will spit it.
