This helped me immensely, I thought that my noggin had grown on the way home from the bikes tore. Arai instructions are vice versa(face then top) and that technique was impossible on my head. Thanks
Not to be negative, but if one has longish hair, the method your using to put the helmet on will push all of it into one's eyes. The helmet you're using to demonstrate also looks a bit loose. The other instructions I've seen generally start with the helmet tilted forward, then rolling it back into position as one pulls it down over one's ears.
Is it okay to pull the helmet down using the chin strap? My arai RX7X is kinda hard to put on and off because it's still new. I'm worried it will damage the strap mounting points overtime but that's how I see most people on youtube put on their helmets.
I recommend a modular for long hair (like me) and a hairtie. You can shift and shimmy the helmet around while putting it on to find the ideal spot for your hair
The advice I was given as that they usually break in - especially in the face! Obviously been long enough for you to prolly notice but hope this helps someone else
@@theunderboss2088 : thanks for the info. I don’t wear that full face but ten enough for it to break in, plus the areas of the padding are on the sides and when the helmet is on, they push back out, because they end up in the neck area. So they rub the ears hard then come back out and stay out. I don’t expect those two sides to break in. I do agree with the face pads breaking in because they put considerable pressure on the cheeks. What does help is dragging the helmet on one side more than the other but “very very slowly. Same when taking it off. One side more than the other and real slow. I also bought a helmet liner to wear on my head like a hat, so the pads rub against those instead of my ears. It’s a little tricky because it drags the liner over the eyes. It’s a real pain in the A, but I’m making it work. Hope this helps someone as well. Cheers !
The helmet shown is way too big, that's why you are able to do the movement. With a tight helmet - as it should be - you grab the helmet by the straps, position it on the top of your head, spread the paddings and pull the helmet over your ears and then adjust it into the right position.
haha I had anxiety everytime I put my helmet on because my hair gets pulled every time I put it on. Now I´m laughing how wrong i was putting my helmet on. I srsly did on the opposite
thanks but..... do the rules matter when putting on a helmet.... I think the rules don't matter as much because it should just be secured any way you put on the helmet
hi we find some people find it difficult to pull a helmet on when its sized correctly they think its too tight and wont fit and therefor is the incorrect size for them, as they have maybe been wearing a helmet that was too big and it slipped on easily. or they have never worn a helmet before this is just a guide as to the correct way to put a helmet on for those that struggle. you are correct that it must be properly secured once the helmet is on.
This actually helped me alot thank you. I was feeling like i was going to rip my face off
Same feeling bro😅😅
My ears were getting absolutely crushed every time I took it off, slowly too
Totally relatable, or my ear 😢

That’s OK. Chin straps are exceptionally strong.

Lol. This would never work with long hair.
It does if you're bright enough to figure it out.
