I am confused between Goechala , Sundapku and chandrashila Trek. Which one is best for late in April ? Is goechala Trek in anyways dangerous? I have done Kedarkantha Trek before in Dec.
Is valley of flowers a good one for alpine flowering? I suppose for tree and bush flowering...I would have to visit in March n April. I tried to send you on Indiahikes...but it bounced.
Hi Neha ji... Thanks for your video. If we want a good combo of MEADOWS, FOREST, SNOW and VIEW OF MOUNTAIN PEAKS what could be the best among these places you talked about??? We are planning for April.
Goechala we are thinking in group??? Mostly We all friends did our all treks with YHAI .... Now we want to try something new...... We did Sarpass, hampta pass.. Kashmir great lakes... Winter kedankanth... Winter Sandakphu....ane lots more... Now suggest best trek for us in may 2023....🙏🙏🙏
Hi Kaushik, Goechala is a good option. You can also check Rupin Pass. You can go through our trek pages of these treks for more information. Rupin pass - indiahikes.com/rupin-pass Goechala - indiahikes.com/goechala
A trekking watch isn’t a necessity. But if you are a regular trekker and do wish to purchase one, you can look at brands like Garmin, Suunto, Amazfit and Coros.
I am confused between Deoriatal Chandrashila, Kuari and Brahmatal. Which one would you recommend for my first trek experience with Indiahikes in April 2021?
Hi Bhuvan, all three treks are fairly close to each other, so if one has snow, the other usually does too. Having said that, Deoritatal and Kuari Pass are likely to retain a little more snow than Brahmatal. Because Brahmatal is a fairly open trek without too much shade, snow tends to melt away more quickly. So choose among the other two in April.
March and April would be the best time for a combination of snow and greenery on these treks. Early May too, perhaps, after which the snow melts away at these altitudes. If you go on higher altitude treks like Rupin Pass and Buran Ghati you'll find this setting all the way till mid June. In July you'll find this setting on treks like Bhrigu Lake and Beas Kund. You'll find all the treks here - indiahikes.com/upcoming-treks
Hi Manisha, weather will mostly be pleasant in April. During day-time the temperature will be around 15° - 20° C and night time it gets cold and will be around 1°- 5° C. Know more about how it looks in April here - indiahikes.com/sandakphu-phalut#best-time
It does have quite a bit of snow in March. Time your trek late in March to see a good mix of both, snow and greenery. :) The later in the season, the more greenery there is. So even April would be a good option to see a lot of greenery and flowers.
Hi Surya, these 5 treks are not suitable for just the weekend. You can check out for Benog Tibba which can be done in a weekend - indiahikes.com/benog-tibba-trek
Hi Anurag, ideally, mid March - mid April is the best time to witness the maximum amount of rhododendrons. Check out our trek page for more information about the trek - indiahikes.com/deoriatal-chandrashila-trek
I am planning to go to either Deorital-Chandrashila or to Kuari pass between March 9-13. Just wanted to clarify, will I get to see the Rhododendron cover in the forests in the second week of March? Or will it be late March and April when the Rhododendrons bloom?
Nanda Devi is the highest mountain with its base completely in India. :) Kanchenjunga shares its base with India and Nepal. Given that, Nanda devi is the highest mountain with its base completely in India.
Sorry IndiaHikes, don't spread misleading information 9.28. India's highest mountain peak is Kangchenjunga. And if you consoider PoK, there's absolutely no reason not to, then India's highest peak is K2.
It is good for spring Mayank. Our dates are up on the website: indiahikes.com/har-ki-dun/#available-dates-calendar But I prefer the summer trek experience on Har ki Dun :)
Treks on Himachal open up only in June July Sahil. The trek logistics are impossible with the amount of snow we get there. One will not be able to open the trail or cut our the path because of the quantum of snow. You will notice that as the season gets warmer, higher altitude treks in Himachal, later in Kashmir will open up
In case you do want to do a trek in Himachal on your own: check out Kareri Lake, Kuppar Bugyal, Dhanna Kunnu Pass, Shali Tibba, Kheerganga Buni Buni Pass We have detailed documentation for all these treks on our website. Use it as a guide for your trek preparation and planning :)
Yes Showvik - usually flowers bloom right from the beginning of March. In fact this year, with the kind of warming and climate change we have been experiencing - you might see flowers even by Feb end.
Valley Of Flowers open up only at the beginning of June Krishna - it is a monsoon trek. I would say the best time to visit is between July and September. You will get a better idea from our video here: ua-cam.com/video/Z0zHHEulD_4/v-deo.html Check out our dates here: indiahikes.com/valley-of-flowers/#available-dates-calendar
Hi Neha, you may need to take microspikes along for the summit climb and if the trail is covered with snow. Apart from the summit climb, there are no challenges on the rest of the trek :) Happy trekking!

sorry, could not get convinced, maybe too biased towards Kanchanjanga 😉
I am confused b/w Chandrashila and Kuari pass could you guide me as to which one would be a better option to go trekking at the end of March
Hi Sarthak, go for Deoriatal Chandrashila. It's the best beginner trek to witness blazing trail of rhododendrons!
@@IndiahikesWill there be Rhododendrons in the 2nd week of March at Chandrashila?
Sorry IndiaHikes, don't spread misleading information 9.28. India's highest mountain peak is Kangchenjunga. And if you consoider PoK, there's absolutely no reason not to, then India's highest peak is K2.
