Hi Paranjey Why don't you go to Sandakphu Phalut. It is a completely different experience in that you will be trekking on the Indo-Nepal border. The trek is moderately difficult but if you prepare well, you can tackle the trail quite easily.
Hey, I'm looking forward to do a trek with you guys December second week. I would count myself as a beginner for a Himalayan trek nd I'm pretty much confused whether I should choose Dayara bugyal or deorital chandrashila.

I am planning my first treak this year and that too a winter one...and if you talk about my fitness level,I m quite a fitness freak so can you suggest me some good snow covered trails in between month of October and November...I m also fine with December...

If your trekking for the first time we would suggest you to go on a easy moderate trek and see how your body reacts to high altitudes, Gradually you can choose more difficult ones in future
Hey...thank you for this amazing and craziest video....I am really interested to go for a trek in month of January and and as a profession I m student..and this will be my first trek as I m a beginner ,pls suggest me a best trek .....
Hi Atharva, So glad to hear that you want to go on a high altitude trek. As a beginner you can choose one of the following: Dayara Bugyal : indiahikes.com/dayara-bugyal-trek-summer-camp Deoriatal Chandrashila: indiahikes.com/deoriatal-chandrashila-trek
Hi Varun, most of these treks are beginner level treks but that doesn’t mean they aren’t adventurous. All of these treks go above 12,000 ft and that in itself is an adventure. That too when you trek during winter, navigating through thick layers of snow adds to it. Now, which is the best trek depends on what you are looking for in a trek. On a high adventure end, you can either go for Kuari Pass (Easy - Moderate | Level 3 ) or Sandakphu ( Moderate | Level 3). To understand what these levels mean, go through this article - indiahikes.com/difficulty-ratings-mean
This is super super helpful Neha :) Looking to do one of these in Feb 2021. Got to choose between Dayara Bugyal/Brahmatal/Kuari Pass/Kedarkantha Any recommendations? P.S.I'm a frequent traveler looking to get started with high altitude trekking.
Hi Siddesh, there are chances of snowfall and usually there will be mild snow. You can get more information on how the trek looks like during different seasons here - indiahikes.com/sandakphu-phalut#best-time
Hi Shilpa, we at Indiahikes, follow a different trail during winter. So it won't be as crowded. To know more about different trails that we follow during different seasons, you can check this article too - indiahikes.com/what-are-the-best-routes-for-the-kedarkantha-trek
Hi Antriksh, It is very unlikely that you will get to see snow in December. In the last couple of years, we have observed that the snow pattern has shifted. What would start in December has moved to January now. We usually start to see snow by second week of January and it goes on till March end or April. To know more about the snow patterns, check this article in the link below. indiahikes.com/blog/will-find-snow-himalayan-treks-india#gref
In March, it is almost the end of winter, so there will be little snow/snowfall on Sandakphu. For March, I would recommend Deoriatal Chandrashila. In March, you are in the winter-spring transition. So you will have a little bit of everything: snow, flowers and maybe green shoots. Watch this to get an idea of what you can expect on March - ua-cam.com/video/NG5jchxwQn0/v-deo.html&feature=emb_title You can book for the trek here: indiahikes.com/deoriatal-chandrashila-trek/#available-dates-calendar Our March dates are out!
You can take a look at our upcoming treks here - indiahikes.com/upcoming-treks/ Given the Omicron situation in the country, we would suggest you plan your trek in Feb and not Jan.
Hi Neha I'm planning for a winter trek in Jan end-Feb start Which will the best trek for snow, snowfall and big mountain peaks view...I'm really confused
This kinda depends on your luck. Usually, the first winter snow is expected by this time of the year.. But there are times it comes a little later, in the third or fourth week. If you want a sure shot experience of snow, go in the third or fourth week of December.
Hi Mrtyunjay You do not need any equipment. But proper gear will give you good grip when trekking on snow. I would recommend you rent a pair of good microspikes and gaiters.
It is easy-moderate level trek Abhee. So this means that during the winter, with the snow - the difficulty rises. On another note, regardless of the difficulty level of the trek - you need to train and get fit. It is the easiest way to ensure you have a comfortable trek experience :)
Hey Ben, Yes. The AB internal frame is a rugged backpack. Has 2 back support rods and plenty of pockets. Get the 65Ltr tho. It's on sale too 😁. Compared to the Mount trek, mufubu, etc 1k-2k Cheaper variants, The A.basics Internal backpack is a quality product. It'll easily last you more than a couple and treks (and more). www.amazon.in/dp/B06Y5NCY5K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dlC_GvhNFbKH4RGN2

Try to see rucksack packing videos mate. Indiahikes has one too. Use spaces between stuff to pack. All the best for your trek.
Hii neha , i want to do my first trek in mid dec , which one of these will be the best trek for me which would be not much tough and give me awesome sunrise or sunset with blanket of snow and beautiful scenes around the mountains...please help me...i am very confuse to select any one

Hey I am a first timer and planning to do solo in mid November , looking for beautiful views, Summit, and a nice welcoming group. Can you suggest me 1-2 trek I can research. Really confused.
Hi, We feel happy that you are planning to start your trekking journey. Below are our suggestions for you. 1. Deoriatal Chandrashila Trek - indiahikes.com/deoriatal-chandrashila-trek?uid=deoriatal-chandrashila-trek 2. Kedarkantha Trek - indiahikes.com/kedarkantha-trek 3. Dayara Bugyal trek - indiahikes.com/dayara-bugyal-trek
Hi Sameeksha, it's very difficult to day that it'll snow for 100% during November. If you are lucky, you might witness a snowfall. We have had the first snow fall last week on Dayara Bugyal. But experiencing snow is your motive to do the trek, consider December- February .
Hi Deepak, yes Kuari Pass can be done by fit beginners. Even though this trek is rated moderate the trek is as easy as your preparations go. To know more about the challenging sections on this trek, visit our trek page with the link below. indiahikes.com/kuari-pass#trek-difficulty

Got to choose between Dayara Bugyal/Brahmatal/Kuari Pass/Kedarkantha
Any recommendations?
P.S.I'm a frequent traveler looking to get started with high altitude trekking.
Kedarkanta will be the best ❤️ bro
In sandakphu, snowfall is there in January ?
Hi Siddesh, there are chances of snowfall and usually there will be mild snow. You can get more information on how the trek looks like during different seasons here - indiahikes.com/sandakphu-phalut#best-time
It’s really nice explanation...I m looking for a strenuous yet prettiest winter Trekk so which Trekk u will recommend for me???
Do Brahmatal - lovely trek, beautiful forests and challenging for the adventurer in you :)
Will kadarkanta trial be very crowded 🤔 greater tn 200 ppl in a day during 3rd and 4th week of January
Hi Shilpa, we at Indiahikes, follow a different trail during winter. So it won't be as crowded. To know more about different trails that we follow during different seasons, you can check this article too - indiahikes.com/what-are-the-best-routes-for-the-kedarkantha-trek
Can we see snow in kedarkantha in dec first or second week
Hi Antriksh, It is very unlikely that you will get to see snow in December. In the last couple of years, we have observed that the snow pattern has shifted. What would start in December has moved to January now. We usually start to see snow by second week of January and it goes on till March end or April.
To know more about the snow patterns, check this article in the link below.

I want to go hampta pass is it good??
Lovely! Now I am confused between Dayara Bugyal, Deoriatal and Sandakphu. Does Sandakphu have snow?? In March?
In March, it is almost the end of winter, so there will be little snow/snowfall on Sandakphu.
For March, I would recommend Deoriatal Chandrashila. In March, you are in the winter-spring transition. So you will have a little bit of everything: snow, flowers and maybe green shoots. Watch this to get an idea of what you can expect on March - ua-cam.com/video/NG5jchxwQn0/v-deo.html&feature=emb_title
You can book for the trek here: indiahikes.com/deoriatal-chandrashila-trek/#available-dates-calendar
Our March dates are out!
try Chandrshilla trek
Which treks are available in this January 2022 starting this week??
You can take a look at our upcoming treks here - indiahikes.com/upcoming-treks/
Given the Omicron situation in the country, we would suggest you plan your trek in Feb and not Jan.
Hi Neha
I'm planning for a winter trek in Jan end-Feb start
Which will the best trek for snow, snowfall and big mountain peaks view...I'm really confused
Brahmatal and Dayara Bugyal are really good options for you, if you want to see snow and big mountains. :)
Can a beginner go on Kedarkantha trek??
I want to go kedarkanta trek during 2nd week of December. Plz tell me if there any possibility to see snow at this time??
This kinda depends on your luck. Usually, the first winter snow is expected by this time of the year.. But there are times it comes a little later, in the third or fourth week. If you want a sure shot experience of snow, go in the third or fourth week of December.
Hey indiahikes
I need a fun trek bcoz I already did some of the difficult treks like chadar, kgl
Can u pls suggest me a trek to do in new year time
Sandakphu❤️
Snow is the main reason for me so can you suggest a best trek for me in mid December ?
Do Dayara Bugyal. You will experience all the snow in the world :) This is our latest photo from the trek instagram.com/p/CGpPAkeB3bt/?
@@Indiahikes on the instagram post it is mentioned that the photo is from last winter
@@navneetbung9609 Apologies! But in our experience, in the last 5 years, by mid December, you will have snow :)
Can dayara bugyal be done in December without professional equipment?
Hi Mrtyunjay
You do not need any equipment. But proper gear will give you good grip when trekking on snow. I would recommend you rent a pair of good microspikes and gaiters.
@@Indiahikes alright thankyou
Now I am confused..I saw in another video of indian hike is Brahamatal is easy to moderate trek especially in comparison with Kedarkantha.
It is easy-moderate level trek Abhee. So this means that during the winter, with the snow - the difficulty rises.
On another note, regardless of the difficulty level of the trek - you need to train and get fit. It is the easiest way to ensure you have a comfortable trek experience :)
Please suggest some budget rucksack.
Is "Amazon basics internal frame backpack" any good ?
Also suggest the size which suits a week long trek.

@@aayushgupta2931 thanks a lot my man... Appreciate it..
Hope 65l suffice long trek like pin Parvati and Bhaba .
@@TrailofBen It'll.
I only use a 55ltr and attach my sleeping bag outside with the bag clips. Sufficed for 5 day Kedarkantha, and for 9 day ABC trek. Parvati pin Bhaba should be fine.
Try to see rucksack packing videos mate. Indiahikes has one too. Use spaces between stuff to pack.
All the best for your trek.
@@aayushgupta2931 That really helps.. thanks bro.
Can you please suggest me a trek this year in November end with confirmed snowfall. Should be a budget trek. Don't say chadar Trek, that's expensive 😁

Hi I'm thinking to book for deoriatal chandrashila trek on Dec-2, will i get the snow during this time?
this is my first trek btw.
Hi Akhil,
December 2nd is too early too witness snow. This is when the winter is just about to set in.
Go during late December - February, if you want to witness snow.
However, the trek is beautiful even without the snow. You can read more about the trek here - indiahikes.com/deoriatal-chandrashila-trek
Is it true that Roopkund trek is closed now for public? Doesn't it list in your top favourite? I've heard a lot about it!😀
Hi
The Roopkund trek is not allowed anymore. The High Court of Uttarakhand has passed an order that prevents overnight camping in the high altitude meadows. Read more here: indiahikes.com/high-court-order-ends-trekking-in-uttarakhand/
In which trek I get snow in 23-28 november ? Is their snow in kedarkantha.. ?
Usually it starts snowing in December no matter where you trek. Try going towards the end of November and try your luck with the weather :)

Hi,
We feel happy that you are planning to start your trekking journey. Below are our suggestions for you.
1. Deoriatal Chandrashila Trek - indiahikes.com/deoriatal-chandrashila-trek?uid=deoriatal-chandrashila-trek
2. Kedarkantha Trek - indiahikes.com/kedarkantha-trek
3. Dayara Bugyal trek - indiahikes.com/dayara-bugyal-trek
Where is Chadar Trek in the list?
Does it snow in any of these places in november?
Hi Sameeksha, it's very difficult to day that it'll snow for 100% during November. If you are lucky, you might witness a snowfall.
We have had the first snow fall last week on Dayara Bugyal.
But experiencing snow is your motive to do the trek, consider December- February .
mam which trek is most difficult. i need know

Hi neha, regarding kuari pass trek how can we reach joshimath from Rishikesh/Haridwar/Dehradun? What would be the feasibility for public transport?
From Rishikesh, you get buses to Joshimath very easily. The buses start as early as 4am.
If you are trekking with Indiahikes, we arrange for transport to the basecamp and pick you up from Rishikesh.
@@Indiahikes would I get the same buses from Haridwar as well?
Great
