    What a great video. You are very skilled as this is not near as easy as you make it look. I do have a question. You have your wall framed with what looks like a 1x2. Is this for temporary structural strength or as a guide to keeping an even depth?

    I’ve a feeling this could really take off over the next several years. There are a lot of wood siding homes in the southwest and northwest that need to be retrofit for the increased fire risk they are facing. From what I’ve been able to find so far, it looks like stucco is going to be the most cost effective added cladding for many of them. But not everyone likes the look of stucco. This gives some great alternatives. Install mineral wool board and a class A fire house wrap then this reinforced by 2 layers of spider-lath - massive improvement! (The Australians might be interested too). It looks like it’d ride out an earthquake reasonably well too.

    What’s the cost comparison by using this method on a commercial job? Cheaper or more expensive? Compared to cultured stone

    • @stoneedgesurfaces3959
      @stoneedgesurfaces3959  3 роки тому +2

      Depends on the Stone Veneer...but in most cases it is cheaper and fewer steps. If you are applying at average 3/4" stamp depths...averages $2.00 to $2.50 per sqft for a custom stamped and colored look...and you can do more in one day than with stone veneer so you have a time savings as well. If you are doing a brick look...you are only at about 1/4" and its closer to $1.50 to $1.75 per sqft.

    Is there anyway to add different colors to the stone

    • @stitchmixx
      @stitchmixx 3 місяці тому

      You can get a die to add to the mix but that would be for the full section of mix you use . Or can you stop 3 to 4 different batches A different color mixes.and add them in Patches on the wall, but it will more likely mix. Or you can pain the Individual breaks to whatever color you want it to be
