Optifine is great. Please be careful downloading it though. It is very easy to click a fake link while trying to download it. This goes for many shaders and resource packs out there as well. You will usually be redirected to a page that's actually spam/ads and fake download links will show up. DO NOT INSTALL anything that starts popping up or anything that says you have out of date software. You should be able to skip through to the real download page by clicking "skip ad" at the top right of the screen
but my Java cannot install it there is an error and my windows cannot upgrade Java there is always another error and my computer cannot upgrade my windows or it will going to explode

What device are you on? I use my cheap android phone and it is still playable. Although there are resource packs that can improve performance for Bedrock by turning off particles are animations

I play java so I can't relate. But I used to play on a 15 year old laptop and that was hell. My FPS dropped to 3 when it rained, and my normal FPS was like 10.

yes, you need 3 gb only for minecraft, which means that those 3 gb's are allocated to it, you cant allocate more than half your ram otherwise your computer will run slow

@@fka-Kaya There's always opening to LAN but it would require you all to be in the same house/using the same wifi. Realms also works in lower versions and is supported directly by Mojang but I think it tends to cost more.

Can we just take a moment to realize that optifine is just amazing? Usually it’s like.. you can get Java edition which is arguably better but sacrifice quality but with optifine you don’t have to sacrifice anything and still get the best Minecraft experience. Idk it’s probably just me but I just really like that optifine exists lol

Just downloaded 1.14 and I can't wait to use optifine when they release the version for it! I use a windows 10 so some aspects cause the loading and lag to be a lot so maybe it'll help with some issues I have 🤗
Even though it's a pre release, if you are very desperate, maybe go check the preview options in the optifine download page. And please don't download it from anywhere else other than optifine themselves. They are warning users from downloading optifine from other sites due to malware and bad stuff like that

Rain and Snow set to Fast really helps on my system. I've been using Optifine for a while and with that setting the rain still looks good, there are just fewer raindrops falling.
Plz do an overview of the 1.15 OptiFine update....this was very helpful but a little outdated. No hate just a suggestion. This is the only video like this that I've seen for Optifine. Love the vid keep it up!

I’ve been watching and playing Minecraft for years, and never knew Optifine helped Minecraft run better. I actually just today died in the Nether because of a fall because I was lagging so badly (I was jumping up my staircase I had built that connects my base to the nearest village, and walked right off the edge of the path I had built. I’m definitely gonna look into adding a safety bar to the path now.) Oh and don’t worry, my stuff didn’t fall into lava and burn. I died from a pretty significant fall, and had to drop gravel for ages to build a staircase down to my stuff.

If you download it on chrome it may say this can harm your computer this is completely normal because it needs to make small changes to Minecraft so you can just keep the file
You better turn the Smooth World off because it unloads the spawn chunks. That means your iron farm won't run all the time which is not the objective of building in spawn chunks. Having Smooth World on is like building iron farm anywhere (not necessarily in spawn chunk). Since you have a single village iron farm, smooth world doesn't do an damage. But if you are building multi-village iron farm like iron titan, then it will cause damage. All your villages will merge into one once you unload the spawn chunks. That is one of the reason why Tango designed iron pheonix which doesn't need spawn chunks.
I have an iron farm outside spawn chunks, about 20 chunks from my house. With smooth world on, iron golems won't spawn unless I'm very close to the farm. With smooth world off, I can stay in my house, turn render distance to 25 chunks and have the farm working perfectly. Not sure at what distance from the player "smooth world" disable the mechanics that cause iron golems to spawn...
@@johalun that is because you are loading the farm 25 chunks away. Smooth world doesn't affect that unless it is in spawn chunks and you are not loading and you may be thinking that farm is working which isn't.

After 4 years of not playing MC and coming back to find that light items work while in their item entity state blew me away. That used to be reserved for shader mods. Good job, Optifine.
GifCo I have a very good pc and I play with 20 chunk. Playing with 32 render distance requires it to render 4 TIMES the chunks that is required with 16.
The server I play on is incredibly laggy always, in the spawn area I get about 4-17 fps in the spawn with the lowest graphics settings. I’m gonna try optifine.
Brilliant Video! Always used otpifine but never really tinkered with any of the more granular settings, so this is really helpful. One thing I've alwys wondered is how you go about recording videos, timelapses (and camera accounts) within minecraft and which mods (if any) you use. A secret on the Optifine site is click the “mirror” link next to the download link and you’ll download it from OptiFine.net directly and can avoid the spam/malware host where the Download link is hosted.
I usually leave Ender Chests in a few of my builds instead of carrying one around with me. This might change once I have more shulker boxes and my inventory is more organised!
Yeah, I tend to carry a few around with me and place them down as I go and forget to pick them up. Eventually my world will be littered with ender chests. Super handy though, I recommend! Love your builds!
optifine is amazing i used to be in 5 render distance and very low graphics but opthpie on islike a miracle now i have 20 render distance and high graphics with 59 fps

In Java Edition I believe the render distance actually loads more chunks. So any resource farms within the render distance will still operate, unless they rely on mobs (which stop moving when you’re over 2 chunks away; hostile mobs have a chance to despawn at that range, and will instantly despawn once you’re 8 chunks away.) On Bedrock there is a “ticking area” around the player which doesn’t scale with the render distance. Render distance on Bedrock can be higher but is purely cosmetic.
What happens if I try to use a shader pack that is meant for a bit older version of minecraft? For example I have my main world in 1.14.1 but optifine only has 1.13.2 as its latest release
Hol up so imagine you can zoom in with optifine by using c but what if when you use the new telescope thingy added with the snapshots. Would it increase the zoom of the telescope or will be used normally?
You can download it from the same website I showed in the video. If you get a message saying your mac won't install Optifine because it's from an unregistered developer, click the ? button that appears alongside the message and follow the instructions.

I usually leave Ender Chests in a few of my builds instead of carrying one around with me. This might change once I have more shulker boxes and my inventory is more organised!
Yeah, I tend to carry a few around with me and place them down as I go and forget to pick them up. Eventually my world will be littered with ender chests. Super handy though, I recommend! Love your builds!
optifine is amazing i used to be in 5 render distance and very low graphics but opthpie on islike a miracle now i have 20 render distance and high graphics with 59 fps

Pixelriffs.Can you make so you load more chunks or is the render distance just making so you can see more?
In Java Edition I believe the render distance actually loads more chunks. So any resource farms within the render distance will still operate, unless they rely on mobs (which stop moving when you’re over 2 chunks away; hostile mobs have a chance to despawn at that range, and will instantly despawn once you’re 8 chunks away.)
On Bedrock there is a “ticking area” around the player which doesn’t scale with the render distance. Render distance on Bedrock can be higher but is purely cosmetic.

Cinematic Camera mode is native to Minecraft, it no longer has a default keybinding but you can set one in Options > Controls

What happens if I try to use a shader pack that is meant for a bit older version of minecraft? For example I have my main world in 1.14.1 but optifine only has 1.13.2 as its latest release

Hol up so imagine you can zoom in with optifine by using c but what if when you use the new telescope thingy added with the snapshots. Would it increase the zoom of the telescope or will be used normally?

Mac is the same AS Windows. U just need to install java
You can download it from the same website I showed in the video. If you get a message saying your mac won't install Optifine because it's from an unregistered developer, click the ? button that appears alongside the message and follow the instructions.
Hello Pixlriffs and everyone, but what happens when you update does it override the old optifine file or do you need to manually download the new version and delete the old one
