    As a microbiologist, I recommend using glass jar for fermentation in order to avoid contamination and BPA

    When I was there in Meghalaya I saw Garo people keeping it like this. But they used to cut it in small pieces. It smells very good and tasty.

    I make it, after seven day i open it, but the smell is not exactly like bastenga. I threw out the water and I keep it in the fridge, will it be better than before after some days

    You didn't said you use hot or cold water n does it need any salt add to it or just add water n store it. Not useful at all.

    Hi thanks for the lovely video..Just a small question..last time I bought some fermented shoots from Dimapur.I kept them in cool dark place ..but now the shoot are turning brownish..is it ok or the same is getting apoiled.pls suggest

      hi, sometime due to the quality of shoot this happens but do not worry its normal. just make sure not to touch the shoot with hands use a spoon etc

      guess the quality of shoot you get there isn't very good. anyways you can throw away the upper portion which turns black but always maintain using a dry spoon, never touch it with hands.
