      I remember in 2004 the Armada coming out and looked like an impressive beast. Back then Tahoe, Expedition were so boring and had no looks to them at all. I use to love the short hood and boxier back or earlier armada. I currently have a 2022 pathfinder and I see subtle DNA of armada and earlier Xterra in the new pathfinder.

    See this is what automakers don't seem to understand. We don't care if a tiny V6 or 4 cylinder or whatever makes as much power, or more power, than a V8. We DON'T care. We don't want tiny overstressed engines even if they have high HP, cause they'll fall apart the moment the warranty runs out. We want low revving 6 liter V8s that will last a long time.

    I must say that this new Armada is brawny and beautiful. Im a gm guy and it looks like the 2015-2020 generation gmc yukon ( my fave). Interior is gorgeous on this Armada as is the space. The bad… a twin turbo V6. Wish there was the old V8. Out of the competition’s twin Turbos the nissan would get my vote as it just looks amazing and powerful from the exterior.

    • @HiPlains1
      @HiPlains1 День тому +1

      I have allot more trust with Nissan engines then with Toyota's failed attempt at induction. Nissan just doesn't make bad motors. And the Daimler benz 9 speed is proven. Its roots go back to around 2013. I'm not convinced GM has fixed their transmission and lifter issues. The 5.3 and 6.2 from around 2006 or older were such great motors. It's nice GM still offers the V8 but with cylinder deactivation that's a hard pass. I do believe they offer baby max diesel as an option and that is a decent engine Their 2.7 turbo is also a good design. But if you end up with a lemon from GM the service and support is really bad. So many have left that brand over the years.

    • @eriksotelo3
      @eriksotelo3 День тому +1

      Turbos aren’t 10k lmao maybe half of that at most. At 2,000 rpm you will still feel the torque due to it being twin turbo(smaller turbo spools up first). As long as you stay on top of regular maintenance you shouldn’t have turbo issues for at least 150k miles.

Even their Frontier sales are down with excessive inventory levels to the point they are reducing production at the Canton plant in Miss. And that is a decent mid size. There is zero chance that Nissan's' very conservative management would venture back to full size. Zero. Only reason we still have the armada is it a big seller in Australia as the Patrol. Are Nissan cars reliable? Does anyone in the group share their experiences with their Nissan cars.

      Some people say that they are good you just have to keep up with the maintenance. But the transmission is bad. From what I hear it got rid of there cvt and now have a 9 speed transmission. So they should last longer than the last generation.

      I have a Nissan Patrol V8 ( im in Dubai) which I bought in 2016 brand new, so in Jan 2025 it will be 9 years old. Its been pretty reliable, extremely comfortable, very safe and extremely powerful engine. I have had the usual maintenance expenses that comes with an almost 9 year old vehicle, apart from that no major repairs. Its a pretty common car here in Dubai and my friends who own it have similar experience. Most of them have repurchased the newer models and I plan on getting this new gen too.

      @naveenverycool1 right now nissan is not doing good on sales. I've heard people getting anywhere from 7500 off to 10k so if your in the market for a new car now is the time.

      The 5.6 V8 is very reliable,but it eats the catalytic converters,which can kill the engine.

    Does it have the pre blown Cvt transmission also? 😂🔥Looks beautiful in the outside but that’s how they get you. Never buying a Nissan again for reliability and peace of mind 🧘🏻

      The Armada NEVER had a CVT transmission.That was in the Rogue and Murano.

    You can't buy more vehicle for the money than a USED Armada. Dependable and built like a tank.

    Nissan is getting out of full size pick up market. I am confused how they can afford to piss money away to bring this to market. The sell 1 for every 5 Tahoes.

    Another copy pasta turbo'd engine with the turbo providing a good bulk of the power on a heavy SUV.
    Ask yourself this: Will you get at least 3000 miles per oil change?
    And, will the engine last long enough for you to pay for the car?
