Please don't tout the motor until there's some real world mileage on it to support an opinion on it. As for me, I'll stick with my 2023 Armada Platinum Edition 4x4 with the plain old 5.6 liter, NA, V8 that is tried and true. That motor has been flawless to date.
See this is what automakers don't seem to understand. We don't care if a tiny V6 or 4 cylinder or whatever makes as much power, or more power, than a V8. We DON'T care. We don't want tiny overstressed engines even if they have high HP, cause they'll fall apart the moment the warranty runs out. We want low revving 6 liter V8s that will last a long time.
The Nissan Murano is a pretty stylish SUV! It’s known for its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and good safety ratings. Plus, it has a sleek design that stands out on the road.
I must say that this new Armada is brawny and beautiful. Im a gm guy and it looks like the 2015-2020 generation gmc yukon ( my fave). Interior is gorgeous on this Armada as is the space. The bad… a twin turbo V6. Wish there was the old V8. Out of the competition’s twin Turbos the nissan would get my vote as it just looks amazing and powerful from the exterior.
I have allot more trust with Nissan engines then with Toyota's failed attempt at induction. Nissan just doesn't make bad motors. And the Daimler benz 9 speed is proven. Its roots go back to around 2013. I'm not convinced GM has fixed their transmission and lifter issues. The 5.3 and 6.2 from around 2006 or older were such great motors. It's nice GM still offers the V8 but with cylinder deactivation that's a hard pass. I do believe they offer baby max diesel as an option and that is a decent engine Their 2.7 turbo is also a good design. But if you end up with a lemon from GM the service and support is really bad. So many have left that brand over the years.
You miss the point, we don’t care about more power and more torque at 2000 rpm’s 99.9% of the time. We don’t want a $10,000 turbo repair bill at 100,000 miles.
Turbos aren’t 10k lmao maybe half of that at most. At 2,000 rpm you will still feel the torque due to it being twin turbo(smaller turbo spools up first). As long as you stay on top of regular maintenance you shouldn’t have turbo issues for at least 150k miles.
