Hey everyone! Thanks for taking some time from your busy day to stop by! Please let Nissan know in the comments section what are you feelings about this redesigned Armada! I have to admit that I was pretty impressed!
In my opinion, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 was the best looking body-on-frame, full-size SUV, until this came out, WOW. Now, this is the best looking. Nissan hit a home run with this one! This is way better looking than any Chevy Tahoe, Ford Expedition or Jeep Wagoneer and their upper trim counterparts like the Escalade, Navigator and Grand Wagoneer.
This is probably the nicest new car in this segment. The competition is getting up. Let's see how the new Tahoe and Tukon stack up when they're eventually launched.
I most definitely agree. Looking forward to GMC's big 3. Better than Sequoia, & Expedition. It has made me flip from getting a Lincoln Navigator to getting one. This baby is *nice!!!*
Definitely agree. I'm Maxima driver for many of yrs and for them to discontinue the Maxima is baffling , but hey, I'm hearing they are making a 25 or 26 Maxima electric I don't know how concrete this news is, I wouldn't buy it I'm a v6 engine type of guy. Love What Nissan did here it resembles a Range Rover from the side. Waiting on the price. The new QX80 Nice but 110k base is insane.
I can only assume the reason why there are no ventilated seats for the second row on the Platinum Reserve is that they need to have a reason to justify the Infiniti QX80 which has ventilated seats for the second row. As ridiculous as that may sound, especially when the Sequoia Capstone does offer cooled seats for the second row, it does kind of make sense to some degree considering the QX80 is meant to be the more luxurious vehicle. This makes me wonder if the Armada Platinum Reserve will be cheaper than the likes of the Sequoia Capstone. My guess is it'll be around $75K or $76K which is cheaper than the Sequoia Capstone at $78K. Regardless, I believe the new Armada will be pretty competitive.
At that price point, the Platinum Reserve should have ventilated rear seats just not the massaging second row seats which could be a QX80 exclusive. Less expensive SUVs already offer ventilated rear seats so this should offer it too
With the ongoing beta testing of Toyota/Lexus' catastrophically failing V35A twin-turbo V6s on owners of Tundra/Sequoia, Lexus LX600, LS500, etc. models, it's apparent Nissan's VR twin-turbo V6 was FAR MORE comprehensively and prudently engineered and produced. Being that the VR was fundamentally derived from the R35 GT-R and has been in production in non-GT-R models since 2017 (Infiniti Q50/Q60, Z), this should bode very well for this all-new Armada. Well done Nissan!!!
Today, Nissan just launched the Patrol (Armada twin brother found globally) here in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I'm really in love with the new design of the Nissan Patrol Y63.
I own a 2020 platinum. Was a long-time GM fan boy who got tired of buying their junk. The Armada is an incredible full-size SUV at an incredible value (I purchased used this year with only 21k miles). Hopefully the new gen will be as good.
Great video Joe I’d have to have pricing to make a decide if I’d buy this over the 2025 Cadillac but i definitely like this Nissan they’ve done.a great job on it Laurie did again as well but she always does you two make a great couple Thank you for another amazing video have a great week
Im going to stick my neck out and say this Platinum Reserve is going to be $78,000 out of the dealership so it's still going to cost thousands less than even the base model 2025 Escalade or Yukon Denali.
Absolutely beautiful! We own the first gen still and just can't seem to let it go. Camping. Hauling. Power. Looks. Reliability. Interior room. Has over 260k and doesn't skip a beat.
Nissan - you did a great job on this. Feels like your A-Game - it's an important vehicle globally. Armada/Patrol have always been cool for some unique Sheik-vibes here in the US that make for an interesting car that feels for another market. Really great looking car, and where the Land Cruiser has left the conversation of this kind of unique $100k desert vehicle, it's just in time for Nissan to swoop in with something quite compelling. Nice!
I like it Joe. The front grill looks very nice. Like you said less chrome makes it look good without looking gaudy. I can't believe that the Maxima will no more.😢😢
Hard to focus on the Nissan with that beautiful house and surrounding pines in the background. Hope they put you and Lori up for the night! This is a nice update for the Remada. Really appreciate that they haven’t followed the “all screens no buttons” fad that needs to stop.
Now this new Armada means business, love the 2 tone on this Platinum Reserve and digging the overall design love the exterior lighting and a gorgeous interior. Joe and Lori thank you sincerely from a Nissan fan!
Wow! This is a crazy redesign. My mom used to have a 2018 armada platinum (now a jeep wagoner III) anyway, looked the same until now! Looks much better. That interior is amazing! Hopefully it’ll be priced better than the Denali 🤞 I am sad that they got rid of that nice V8
I never liked Nissan cars, but that one looks awesome . Can’t wait to see the options and pricing in Canada 🇨🇦. Solid review as usual « To the door panel ! »
Ever since Nissan got rid of Carlos Ghosn, they've been improving their vehicles and making them better. Even vastly improved their cvt, but still hope they reduce its use even further, limiting it use to their budget cars.
It has also been launched in UAE (the so-called SUV country 😅) as the Y63 Patrol. Can't wait to see it here in the Philippines. It'll be a threat to the L460 Range Rover and the LC300 Land Cruiser that Toyota sells overseas. It's also interesting that with the new 3.5 liter VR38 V6 engine, the R35 GT-R's legacy continues under the hood of the Y63.
Huge mistake quitting the V8 for a V6 turbo. Sometimes I am surprised by the decisions made by the Nissan board. Another similar mistake was the 2013 Pathfinder, a downgrade from the previous existing version

I am a big Toyota fan boy, I have owned Camrys, Highlander and all the popular cars of Toyota you can think of from fortuner to Land Cruiser 300 but I Bow down to Nissan to this! My father and I are very different I always was a Land Cruiser guy and he always told me when a patrol comes to the road even a urus gets shy. Ofc I never agreed to him as the patrol had a very disappointing ride quality and everything about it IMO but this one! Man this is really giving the Range Rover a good amount of competition
I have the 2019 Nissan Armada Platinum Reserve and love it. i noticed no rear entertainment in this one will this be a option or No? i still have two young children that like to still watch a movie as well use Ipads and Phones while traveling.
I have the 2018 Nissan armada platinum reserve and I LOVE IT. I love the new 2025 one but only down? I don't like that the TV's are not there. That was such a huge thing for me when I bought mine. Also the fact that it doesn't say reserve on the seats as well. I wonder what the price will be for it!
Can’t wait for this to hit out lots! 💪🏽great job Nissan! Looking forward to learning as much as I can to help my texas folks find the best option for them!
Small complaint, but I miss the large second row center console. Good for easy third row walk through, but feels less luxurious. But as always Joe, great review, and great camera work by Lori!!
This is just gorgeous, wow. The QX80 is a great looking vehicle, but this Armada looks even better. It's more rugged, upright and masculine than the QX80. I love it and will definitely buy one and I can't wait!!!
