I'm applying for a fashion illustration internship in the spring, your series on the artform has helped me immensely thank you thank you thank you for sharing your wisdom!
all you need to create a collection is a pen and paper for now, you don't have to physically create it especially as you're still learning and exercising your creative bone. you also don't need to know English to communicate your ideas because they're shown visually, without words. as long as you stick to your ideas and their essence, your collections should say what words can't and get your message across clearly. although, speaking English and having the means are very important things, they are not necessary to just get started. you can always acquire those over time once your skills get better with practice. you're doing a great job. And like Zoe says, practice not magic. and the first ideas aren't the best ideas, they're just getting your stagnant thoughts out of your brain to make room for new ones. don't give up, you got this! :)
LOVE IT!!!! While you was talking I'm handpainted butterflies 🦋 on a old leather jacket. Keep up the good work and have a wonderful day 😊 Robin N.Otis-Clayborne
I was thinking about a boro style garment that could be mass produced, and then I thought that maybe i heard of companies out there who actually patch together scraps to be made into other things. So, What if you were to have a yardage version of scrap fabric made and then use that to make whatever garment you choose. It would ensure that each garment is unique eventhough it has the same cut and same overall look. .... also i take pics of floors, we're normal. They have cool textures sometimes.
I miss designing too, ive had to take a break to put my life back together, and i can feel who i am slipping away. Maybe its time to start a project 🤔
