Omg beautiful, I hadn’t seen your videos for about 2 years. Sorry, I forgot how much I love just hearing your stories. I’m more into drawing, but you’re always so interesting and inspiring.
Girl when I saw the notification that you had posted a new video to the "Watch Me Design" series I literally screamed with joy. Amazing video Miss Hong!!! Can't wait for the next episode 😄
Zoe look I don't know what it is but u've got smtg in u that reminds me how much I love designing, how much i love fashion and how bad I wanna produce my own collection.....I've been really busy with my exams and classes and stuff and haven't designed anything for about six months.....cuz I don't have any motivation or particular color scheme I wanna play it and watching ur video really fuels me to go and design smtg, anything really bcuz I love it so much.....so Zoe I owe this to you THANK YOU!!!! ❤
Excellent video Zoe Hong, you mentioned so many very important things to consider when creating and putting together a collection! Funny I knew the manager of the MiuMiu store in Miami and once it was shared that few customers wanted to know if they were bringing the full runway collection as a Trunk Show to buy from, but actually the company was focused on selling accessories more than rtw. Thank You Zoe Hong for all the knowledge you share with us all in this wonderful channel of yours!
I tend to overlook neutrals, but WOW that camel really tied the rest of the colors together! Note to self: pay more attention to neutrals that aren’t just black!
I know you do not want to be literal but I thought your original air balloon picture were very inspiring. I like the colours and the metal hardware components. Perhaps using the grid from the patchwork as a map for inlaid ruffles or the idea collapsed exaggerated shapes. Like an oversized collar which becomes functional and integrated. Makes me think of Margiela too. Draping by serendipity almost.
A good reminder of the process! I am about to start a self-directed project for my portfolio. It's based on a Bill Cunningham photo from the 80's. I started sketching out some ideas, but I need to step back and work through some of these questions. Thanks, Zoe!
Loved so many moments in this video. It got my wheels spinning because it was process driven exploration. But the best part was when you got excited when you found the camel color reference.
Loving the color story! I need to get working on my designing again. I really like your process, watching your videos gets me excited to do more of my own collections.
Excellent video as always! I am designing right along with you and I just solidify my color palette as well. I love the series of questions you went through to build the customer profile, is there a way I can access or a copy of these questions to help me develop my customer profile?
I used nail polish for my latest color story. Works great for metalics

So true. Many runway shows are marketing for selling accessories.
