[Musikk og tekst skrevet Mars 1993 a.y.p.s.]
[Musik und Text MÄrz 1993 a.y.p.s.]
"The well of the region is no longer a dark depth, in which we stare, but a living stream, that fertilely flows through the lands of the North. Yes, to the highest visions of essence, this life can now elevate itself into development of it's true power and particularity, elevated to the father of all, who is up high in Valhalla, to him, the true god..."
    [Johan Sebastian Cammermeyer Welhaven]

This song reminds me of being alone, deep in a silent snowy forest, just as night falls. You have nowhere to go and nothing to do but marvel up at the tall swaying trees and watch everything go dark as you slowly freeze to death.

I love the repetition, it's hypnotic and trance like. I don't think this should be listened to as a "song" in the traditional sense, but more of a background texture or something to have on while you nap.

If your pride, self-respect, and morals are strong, you can't go wrong. Nowadays there are many people out there who have absolutely no respect for others or themselves and carry themselves with absolutely no decency or character.

If you like it, check out Winterreise by Coldworld, atmosphere in both tracks is quite similar.

Lynne Dealy He really is an amazing musician. Melancholie has an absolutely incomparable atmosphere. You should check out the album Wind by Melankoli as well!

I agree, when I saw black metal, I expected some of agressivity, but this song is the opposite of this ! Totally Peacful. It's not what I generally listen, but I like it. But it's often the same :) !
