It sounds more like a 4-2-1, if you close your eyes and compare two sound clips you will see what I’m saying. Having a radial fire 8-1 has lots of benefits with scavenging. Another key part is having stepped primaries. I get that this is built for your car but it’s not the optimal setup for power and it’s foolish to say this produces a unique exhaust note.

I have one that I found on the Internet and it's a old school dragster ideling and doing it's burn out then backing back up to stage at the tree and then takes off & when people hear it it definitely get their attention because it's rather loud and doesn't sound like a familiar ring tone lol .

Any motor on a run stand with just a flex plate on the crank will Rev quick. Hang 3 pounds of torque converter or flywheel and clutch slows that crisp right down
@@durawinsfor $9,000 you better have an LSX or Dart block with a 4.125"+ bore build of some type, even if it's a 388 with a stock 3.622" crank and china 6.1" rods, with 821/823 heads...even with Machine work being high, you can build a pretty serious LS for $9,000.
I think the 4.8/5.3 and the Buick 3.8 might be the best engines GM ever made in their entire history. I always thought the 350 small block was the best GM engine but the 5.3 is even better. Too bad they had to ruin them with DOD.

@@jonelford 12 engine ran on it there, just posted #13 with a stock 4.8 with stock manifolds and with the 8-1 for a sound comparison. No worries running them here.
That stand has been through 12 engine builds and start ups and 13 has been sitting on it waiting to be finished will, be started and ready to be sold also.
