- Thornhill - Where We Go When We Die (Official Moshcam Concert)
Official Moshcam concert for “Where We Go When We Die” by Thornhill, performed live at Liberty Hall
ARIA Award-nominated 2022 album Heroine, Thornhill solidified an undeniable reputation as one of the most innovative and immersive heavy acts in the Australian scene. Debuting at #3 on the ARIA Album chart, Heroine also debuted at #1 on the Australian Album chart, and has since had more than 8.5 million streams to date.
Rounding out a huge 2022 appearing at Good Things Festival with headliners Bring Me The Horizon and many more in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Thornhill also ticked off some of their biggest Australian shows to date last year, selling out most of their headline tour, supporting The Butterfly Effect nationally, and performing their first ever US headline shows on the East Coast alongside fellow Moshcam alumni, Alpha Wolf.

Glad these boys are finally getting the recognition they deserve. The Dark Pool was a masterpiece of an album.
Jacobs screams have evolved to something so terrifying and visceral. Hearing it live leaves me awestruck. The bands sound coalesces so well.
This live recording is WONDERFUL, one of the greatest songs of all time
I remember it used to sound much more forced and strained. Seems to have much different technique now.
Couldn't agree more, it give me goosebumps!
Too bad they wont go back to this sound
This mans vocals are some of the best live vocals I have heard. Absolute menace. Not to mention one of the most atmospheric metalcore songs I have ever heard. Austrilian metalcore has iterally changed the fucking game.
The outro of this song means so much to me, The Dark Pool is on my top 5 albums of all time and I don't think this will change some day.
This album was truly special.
In my top 5 album of all time
It still is :)
Too bad they wont go back to it @@iamanactualcat
@@endofage8495 life exists to change, enjoy the album for what it is and when it was.
"I need you here with me,
I need you to remember"
Where we go when we die is one of the greatest metalcore songs of all time. This is an exceptional live performance. Thanks for posting this!
Right there with you
it really is - I don’t think anyone will ever recreate anything like this
They’re good but architects are better.
@@TheCharlielennon Unnecessary comment.
They’re all unnecessary, it’s UA-cam…
Australia just makes such good fucking metal, man. It started for me at like 13 when I found Parkway Drive. Evolved to bands like Northlane, and now I've got this monster band to binge. I fucking love life!
polaris, make them suffer, void of vision, in hearts wake, alpha wolf to name a few more
ne obliviscaris 🤟
Above, Below.
You have to check out Above, Below.
Add Caligula’s Horse into this list as well
you're welcome
I’m here from the Muse cover and did NOT expect this. Holy shit.
This whole album was phenomenal. Glad to finally see a good live mix do this song justice, especially with the boys having improved so much over the years.
true
So so good. This song still blows me away despite the insane number of times I've listened to it.
sound quality is phenomenal
Finally some pro shoot of this track. Jacob’s trully gotten much better.
Miss this old Thornhill. Please continue making metalcore
This album was something special
they already said they've done all the things they want with the genre and will continue to move forward and evolve
@@richard6200 A tough pill to swallow but so thankful we have the masterpiece that The Dark Pool is at all.
@@richard6200 sadly, its so boring now

I don't know how many times I've wondered whether those vocals are even possible live and I'm so impressed by this performance...
Saw them 3 times in 2023. The difference in jacobs voice from janurary to october is huge, well done to the whole band on how much theyve improved their sound and stage performance
One of my fav songs of all time
There's a bright future ahead for Thornhill musically. I loved Heroine and I'm excited to see how they'll keep experimenting with their music.
My god, they are extraordinarily good live, I NEED THE FULL SET OF THIS MOSHCAM NOW!!!
OMFG!!!! I'm speechless. A beautiful classic finally caught in all it's meaning and glory live.
Oh the screams are the stuff of nightmares and I love it
I replayed 2:52 about 15 times and it sent shivers down my spine each time.
me too, they opened a black hole just after that silent lapse.
Damn they are great live. Sad I missed them in Utah tonight.
The Dark Pool is literally one of the greatest albums to come out in the last decade and a absolute masterpiece. There are so many incredible songs on that record and this is one of them. The ending lyrics are so emotionally powerful and the music just wraps it in a atmospheric blanket and makes it even more amazing. We absolutely need more quality live videos like this.
I've been waiting for this kind of live mix from them! Thank you!
Mix is A 10/10
Seeing em tonight in Anaheim with Slanty bois... Beyond hyped!
Thornhill with Silent Planet is awesome, but I think the next step has got to be one of those huge Sleep Token Arenas.
Isanity continues, Dark Pool comes close to be my all time favourite album. And the quality of live performances keeps blowing my mind. Europe tour with Polaris sounds like a dream
Such a masterpiece and will remain a close favourite til the day I die
Those goosebumps guys... so deep in our souls.. Red summer in addition to this and I'd be speechless (more than now)
probably the best song ever made
Seeing them for the first time so stoked
great mix, sounds stellar!
my mind just gets lost in this melody. this album was the best I've found recently
this is incredible! amazing performance of an amazing song!
Such an amazing band
This was only one of the best shows and tours I’ve been to. The support acts were perfect and so was TH. Lucas from Holding Absence coming on to finish Red Summer was epic!
Amazing lyrics amazing song, next month I will see them in Barcelona, hope they sing that one!
Great mix 👌
Wow! That is incredible. Can’t wait to see you guys in June 🇨🇦
This vocalist lad is super talented
Just saw this live last week and it really is something special 🤘
What a masterpiece of a song. TDP is probably my favorite album of all time.

Man this band sounds amazing live
🔥
Last. Breakdown screamo is incredible
Its not as noticeable in the song but the background vocals at 1:55 are so darn beautiful :'>
They are so damned good!🤩
Why this band is sooooo goood????
💖🥺
🔥🔥🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼💯
After Chester Bennington who no longer with us, Jacob fromThornhill and Sam from Architects are the best clean vocals and scream singers
killer vocals
Please post the whole set!!!!!!
EPICO
11/10
Damn Jacob got so much better live. He was alright before, but I did see people bashing him. Now he just sounds UNDENIABLY good. Like better than the record good. Did he also add new harmonies on the vocals specifically for live performances? There's a lot of new background stuff I'm hearing now.
The Dark Pool is an absolute awesome album !!!
Un fucking real need more
His voice has evolved so much i couldnt comprehend. Its such a waste that they dont play metalcore anymore... Sad
THIS IS WHAT I WAITING FOR
so fucking good
the show ending with there'd better be a mirrorball by the arctic monkeys playing in the background goes so hard
I love this song so much I found my way here.. their new album not my tast… though this album was frickin insaneee
holy fucking shit
I love you
holy sh*t 3:50
Holy fuck his screams, a new heavy album would be gas
Yep, its uncanny. Definitely love that Han Solo is the frontman for this band.
they even used a arctic monkeys song in their outro
2:22
full performance?? please???
Shit I need to see them again.
i am old men very good live show i will go
Please post Obsession.
This sing is such a MASSIVE undertaking. Which you should think about splitting. Consider the advantages of a co singer to share the load.
But much respect man. The stuff you do is phenomenal. But maybe with some help on stage you can reach those notes more frequently
what do you think about karnivool
Does anybody know the name of the song at the end?
No but oh my god where did that breakdown scream come from
Where did the whole show video go??
Dark Pool album saved me.
😀
Nice footage, maybe a bit to clean for a live one but nice nonetheless
What just happened to me
what happened to their other guitarist??
I never, ever use the term “sick”, but that was sick.
Don’t hate but I just became a fan after watching this
make a song on Alfred Hitchcock
Mannnn I wish they still sounded like this, truly disappointing the direction they went in after creating such a masterpiece that The Dark Pool is.
Damn he straight up said fuck screaming this shit sucks lmao
...
Miss this Thornhill. This was groundbreaking. New stuff is so dull unfortunately.
How was this groundbreaking? I love Thornhill but Dark Pool was generic cringe metalcore. Heroine was actually something that made the band stand out. Nothing generic on that album.
@@Drake45100You are out of your damn mind.
@@Drake45100 you can't be serious 😂 heroine was like a Muse tribute act
@@Drake45100wrong wrong wrong. Dude, Dark Pool was not generic at all. And I know my metalcore. Dark Pool is a frickin masterpiece

Great song, great album. Last album was ass btw.
