This is possibly the best opening song for a show and a record It’s impossible to stand still, everyone is jumping after the first verse It’s also crazy to see how far this band has come since The Guilt and The Grief Jamie and Jakes vocals have excelled so much
RIP Ryan :( glad I got to see you in September 2022. Graspop this year didn't feel the same without you. A day later, you weren't physically with us anymore. But your legendary songwriting, riffs and energy will always be with us
One of the most technically sound bands. Seeing them live is just incredible. I was always a fan, but after seeing them live for the first time everything changed. They are so “tight” as a unit and sound incredible.
I came here to see Ryan ❤ to see how good life was for him on the stage. To see his element. A guy i didnt know. But a guy who's riffs took my sadness away. While the lyrics of any polaris song cuts deep. Knowing Ryan will no longer pluck a live string for us all. Deeply saddens me this morning... 😢

I was here for this show and it was amazing. I had just a week before this been dumped by my first longtime partner and this was a very much needed distraction at the time and I had an amazing time watching not only Polaris, but all of the other acts before them that night. a memory that will stick with me is seeing one shirtless dude at the end of the night completely covered in his blood after the house lights came on, seeing that was just proof of how good they were that night. its not just a tragedy that the band and us fans lost Ryan but its a loss for music as a whole. he was so creative and inspirational to many. I am happy that we at least get to listen to one more album that he was proud of. RIP

Holy shit! It’s refreshing to see metal bands this solid live. Cleans are a bit off but man I’d totally feel like I got my money’s worth anytime seeing these guys live

Northlane is pretty insane aswell !
This song is so fucking good and this live version is powerful. Rest easy Ryan 🙏🏻
This band continues to fuckin be amazing holy hell they blew my mind
The spirit on Tom Searle lives on.
Every time I listen to this album, I think the same thing.
Did Tom help write this song or something?
@@Anthony-pq4vr No, just has that mid career Architects sound.

At the mantle of the heart
A river flows inside
We drain ourselves in steady streams
Until the river runs dry
At times, these tides define us
Deny us of ourselves
A finite source of optimism
That leaves a hollow shell
And as the seasons pass
And winter's numbing cold gives way to pain
We light these fires to sit beside
As we pray like hell for rain
At the hour before the dawn
The last embers burn 'til day
It's all I hang my hope upon
You can't take that away from me
Every morning in the mirror I see
My worst enemy reflected in me
'Cause I'm a born unbeliever, a cynical soul
I can only trust as far as I see
But every time I close my eyes
I'm who I used to be (who I used to be)
I never thought I'd feel so cold
Until the fire faded out in me
I've never felt so cold
Such sacrifice for so little to show
To learn these lessons
I never wanted to know
That we will all die alone
And how my blood remains on the tip of the blade
As it severs the flesh from the bone
So far beyond the below
I was there when they sowed the seed
I was there when the rats came out to feed
And when the rain came
It extinguished the flame in me
As I slept
The seeds of doubt were sown
I tore my heart apart for this
In hopes my light would grow
And I dreamt about a place
Where all our virtue could withstand
I woke in fright, appalled to find
The blood was on my hands
But every time I close my eyes
I'm who I used to be (who I used to be)
I never thought I'd feel so cold
Until the fire faded out in me
I've never felt so cold
Rest in peace Ryan ❤
