I'm not even a beginner player, and the specs on this guitar have finalized my decision to switch to Schecter as my brand of choice. Graph tech nut, mahogany body, rosewood fretboard, those beautiful burl top finish with the natural back and bolt-on maple neck. Buy one of these, put in some third party pickups of your choice, give it a quick fret polish and you're all set for a little workhorse. I have owned 2 C6 Blackjacks that came with the Seymour Duncan JB and 59 pickups both 2006-08 year models and 2 Hellraisers with the EMG-s in them and all 4 of those guitars were amazing with excellent overall playabilty and finishes...I was about to order one of these in the Charcoal finish but they were out of stock and didn't want to wait so I ordered a Reaper 6 hard tail version and it has the Schecter branded pickups in it..from what I have heard they sound well balanced able to do high gain Metal and clean up nicely.. I have a couple of Jackson Soloists and they are excellent guitars as well but excited to be receiving my Reaper in a couple of days... excellent video here.
I got one in Dark Cherry Burst. I installed Gotoh Magnum locking tuners with Pearloid buttons. Right now I'm expecting a pair of Seymour Duncan Black Winter pickups in pink/black zebra. I tried to love the Heretics, but they just sound muddy and fuzzy. The USA Apocalypse pickups are dope though!

@@GuitarCinemaOfficial hi James, no, I haven't had issues with feedback. Thankfully.. This really is a nice guitar that I got at a sweet price and now see it's like $200., busks more. That I can live with.
I had a Schecter Damien 6 from the diamond series for 4yrs. It was a made in china, old model of the guitar which I got used for very cheap(₹9000-which is under 100dollars). It had a string allignment issue, the holes on the body for bridge piece was offset by atleast 3-5 mm. It made the pull off to open string type licks on the high E non-manageable( I stopped using those licks to get around this😅).... that's the reason I got it very cheap. But apart from that, it was a beautiful guitar, played and felt really great, had good tones from it. Those EMG passives did the cleans and dirty pretty well. Schecter do have a focussed mid-range tone. I thoroughly enjoyed playing that guitar despite that one minor manufacturing flaw(it could be fixed BTW) That's one brand from whom I would do business in the future.
I own a schecter hellraiser, very stable and solid guitar. I have an eye for the new super shredder models with wenge necks 🥰 The only concern is pickups on those.
If I had this thing, I'd immediatly do some drilling and put pickup frames around the pickups. The space around the humbuckers looks unfinished without frames, even if they are not required for mounting. It's like flooring without a baseboard to cover the gap between the floor boards and wall. LOL. Stratocasters don't have frames around single coils, because they are mounted in a pick guard, and the clearance is tight: no gap between the pickups and guard. Pretty much all classic guitars with humbuckers have frames on them.
See I really dont like pickup frames... Im aware there are a lot of downsides to direct mount pickups but something about it just looks more modern to me?
I have the omen extreme 6 string version to this i am working on getting the 7 string version red finish. I absolutely love the coil tap option for playing acoustic stuff it always cleans the signal up beautifully. This will be my 3rd schecter guitar i own. I purchased a bc rich warlock guitar last year on tax return but im not a fan of the body style just not for me. I’ve got an Elite 8 recently. I was surprised by the build quality and overall playability. It’s lighter than my old Extreme 6, but resonates so much more. And everything is perfectly built, except maybe so issues with polish/matte transition on the edge for a few centimeters, but it’s nothing for that pricetag
My kind of guitar. Fixed bridge, solid quality and playability, looks awesome, and I don't have to change the pickups! I have a Schecter Deluxe now and love it but I did change the pickups from everything from EMG, DiMarzio and Duncan. Apologies but I realised after releasing this video that this finish was an exclusive to PMT in the UK here, however the stock finishes are very similar!
Give me an advice plz - omen 6 extreme or omen 6 elite fr? Which one should i choose as a first guitar? My dealer has only these two models. Price is same. I like omen 6 extreme more just because of how it looks, but ive heard elite has better pickups. And i am not sure i need fr.
This is just me, but generally I would avoid a Floyd Rose on an affordable (Sub £800) guitar. Far too much potential for permanent tuning stability problems... If you'd like a Floyd save up and get something in the mid to upper price range!
Loving these Schecters! Man, if they issued this guitar with locking tuners?.. Personally I think that is a bad decision on their part (JMO) Otherwise.... WOW! Impressive beautiful guitars they make!
I have this guitar I’m wandering if I could add a tremolo system to it, i find it hard looking it up to find out wether or not it’s a good idea, I wander if hollowing out the body would make it too weak
I'm willing to bet the body will be too thin to route out a big enough cavity for a Floyd. Maybe a Fender style tremolo is possible. Either way the cost will be substantial probably at least half the value of the guitar.
With the guitar on the strap while you’re standing up.. is it falling on the side? I mean the weight is in the center or tends to fall on the left? Keep on with those reviews you are doing a great job. Also are you satisfied with the m-audio monitors? I have the same ;)
There is a touch of neck dive yes but it can be forgiven with how thin and light the body is. Nothing a non-slip type strap cant overcome. Thanks for watching working on more videos now!
Would this be a good first electric guitar? Or would it be too much for a beginner? I'm planning on buying one soon and I'm having a hard time choosing between this or the omen extreme.
This would be an insanely good first guitar dude. Most people start off with a 150 quid crappy Strat copy (like me! Lol). The neck profile on this is good for a beginner IMO it's a very good balance of thickness and playability.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial well, I'm kinda getting late to the party so I'm looking within this price range because I don't think I'll be needing another guitar any time soon. Thanks for replying!

I've reviewed both brands on the channel... HB will get you better specs for your money but Schecter will likely be a better overall quality product. Try and play both if you can and see which you prefer.
It’s not though. They’re inconsistent, nice on paper but the same exact one will never be the same as the last one. My first Red one, perfect feel and sound but holes in the fretboard, a bad nut, and damaged electronics!! Then I get the replacement in Blue this time, but bad nut, bad feel bad sound compared to the first one I bought. Then I tried yours the charcoal, it was heavier, harder too play, and needed a neck shim. Mora of the story, you might find a gem but most of these are just garbage
A pox on plastic nuts. Tusq nuts are $10 retail, surely manufacturers can afford to use them. Good on Schecter for the value they add to their guitars.
Your channel is a problem for me because you review guitars I’m interested in and I inevitably start shopping again. Even though I just picked up an EC1000 … I guess it’s true when they say that the best number of guitars to own is the number you own now + 1.
mine was so poor build that i had so send it back, not worth the money in my opinion i have 10 schecters all so don`t get me wrong this was the only "affortable" i tried out, never again, get a schecter reaper instead, much better bang for your buck.

Be yourself. People will absolutely pick up on it if you are putting on a front or a personality that isn't yours 👍. I promised myself when I started doing my channel that for better or worse I would be my normal miserable self 🤣 thanks for watching mate!
Right on with plastic nut 👍👍 my $2k LTD Ironcross came with a plastic nut 😂 drives me nuts … love the guitar but that price point they should be using a better nut. Replaced it with the GraphTech nut. Great video 🤘🔥🤘 you have a new subscriber here 👍👍
No way really? Thats probably the most expensive guitar I've seen come with one. Thanks for watching!
Was wondering what pup height you use with these pus. They came pretty low on mine.
I miss my Schector. I'm getting another one for sure
Cheaper stuff is great bang for buck!
Does yours neck dive? The “Mahogany” body on mine seems extremely light weight almost hallow
Man, where did you get it in this paint?!
Have you played or reviewed the Joe Duplantier Chavel San Dimas Pro Mod??
I have not but I do like Metal focused Tele shaped guitars! Aren't Charvel manufactured on the same line as Jackson these days?
I can't find that color anywhere... are you sure is called "transparent black"? I only found blue, cherry and characoal. There is a "see throught black" but it doesn't look at all like the one you're playing in the video...
Apologies but I realised after releasing this video that this finish was an exclusive to PMT in the UK here, however the stock finishes are very similar!
Hello, From the StateS 🇺🇸 I'm new to your channel.. Thanks For Sharing 🎸 🎶 🇬🇧 ✌
Hello from the UK and thank you for watching!
Amazing Guitar James!!!!! Looks really Amazing!!!!! ;)
Thanks for watching as always mate ☺️
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial my pleasure dude!!!! Your videos are Amazing!!! 💪😃
Loving these Schecters! Man, if they issued this guitar with locking tuners?.. Personally I think that is a bad decision on their part (JMO) Otherwise.... WOW!
Impressive beautiful guitars they make!
Kind of fair for this price point to be missing them IMO.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial thanks, you’re probably right, I’ll just get another guitar with tremolo, and esp for sure
@@blainecolwell7171 Glad to help.
Demon 6 is another note worthy budget model.
Would this be a good first electric guitar? Or would it be too much for a beginner? I'm planning on buying one soon and I'm having a hard time choosing between this or the omen extreme.
Get this one, it will grow with you
This would be an insanely good first guitar dude.
@@soulreaver017 Thanks for watching!
The only hesitation I have on picking this up is the bolt on neck did you notice a difference in tone and fullness in the overall sound ?
I actually prefer the sound of a Bolt-On. I find it somehow brighter/snappier sounding. I have some pretty dead sounding Neck-thru/Set-thru guitars although once its plugged in and saturated with gain the difference isnt as apparent.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial ahhh okay I had a bolt on before and didn’t care for it but I’m will to try it again if the sound is solid
Great review! I've been considering grabbing one for my other guitarist! And I'm with you 💯 stop. Putting. Plastic. Nuts. On. Guitars. Over. 300 dollars lol
I hate them so much! haha
I will definitely get one of these. Where are they made?
Indonesia.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficialI ended up getting the C-1 Platinum. Really good guitar.
Ohhh man that’s a beauty. If you ever get a chance you should check out the reaper series it’s like 100/150 bucks more but to me plays more like a strat which I love
Been eyeing up a 7 string Reaper this week!
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial 👀👀👀 I’ll be waiting extra brownie points if you try it in green
@@ReyesWorldTV duly noted
Can you please review the schecter demon 6
I'll see what I can do.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial @@GuitarCinemaOfficial ok....but if you can plz do it....bcz i loved your review of e the OMEN ELITE 6
..... Im in confusion which one to buy between the OMEN ELITE 6 and DEMON 6 ( NOT FLYOD ROSE )
would you suggest this over the extreme 6 one?
Both good options and similar guitars. If you can I'd recommended playing before buying and seeing which suits you best.
What do you think should I get a harley benton amarok or the schecter extreme 6. Does anybody has some experience with both guitars I am thinking of
I've reviewed both brands on the channel... HB will get you better specs for your money but Schecter will likely be a better overall quality product. Try and play both if you can and see which you prefer.
Do you think the 7 string version of this guitar would be to heavy? With it being mahogany and all.
No i dont think so as the body shape itself is very slim. This 6 string version was extremely light!
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial That's good to know, thank you very much!
@@commisargamerson1666 Thanks for watching!
Was this a 2021 color? Can't find the black variant in any (EU) stores at the time of this comment.
This exact finish turned out to be a PMT exclusive colour which I wasnt aware of at the time.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial makes sense! Thanks for the reply! 👍
@@HSBurn Thanks for watching!
Got mine but it’s Multiscaled and red
Nice!
True there are a lot of inconsistencies at this price point.
Still waiting for mine, it’s been 4 months
Damn! Where from? Supply chain issues are brutal at the moment.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial I’m from Cali
I genuinely cannot find this color fir the guitar anywhere
I didn't realise at the time but this was a PMT exclusive finish for the UK! The stock finishes are similar and still look great though IMO
The neck is just 1mm thicker than an Ibanez Rg
Didn't know that! I must have good hands as my opinion was based just on how it felt 🤣
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial haha thats what i thought.
A pox on plastic nuts. Tusq nuts are $10 retail, surely manufacturers can afford to use them. Good on Schecter for the value they add to their guitars.
I hate them so much 😂
I wish it was still £480. Damn inflation!
PMT still sell Blue ones of these for £499!
ρяσмσѕм 😴
Your channel is a problem for me because you review guitars I’m interested in and I inevitably start shopping again. Even though I just picked up an EC1000 …
I guess it’s true when they say that the best number of guitars to own is the number you own now + 1.
It's actually quite a talent coming up with reasons you need one more guitar. I'm a black belt in it 🤣
All professional people know that’s trashy guitars , that’s only for newbies and for people who’s doesn’t know anything about the guitar 😂
mine was so poor build that i had so send it back, not worth the money in my opinion i have 10 schecters all so don`t get me wrong this was the only "affortable" i tried out, never again, get a schecter reaper instead, much better bang for your buck.
That sucks what were the issues mate?

Literally the worst place on a guitar to try and save a few quid!
