@7:50 I think the problem he's having is that he's centering the horizon, which means the copter is not parallel with the ground. So when he yaws, he's getting roll coupling from the "uptilt". The solution is to find the horizon position where the copter is flat. Tommy references this in the beginning. Then youc an yaw to any angle you want and the copter will stay flat. Or you can learn to coordinate turns upside down, which breaks my brain even though it's easy to do when you're right side up. The reason it worked when he did a 360 is that 360 always brings you back to the same angle you started at no matter what your uptilt is.
Soooo good to see Carlos back!! Great teacher, can't wait to get my goggles on and practice his inverted yaw spins!! Timing is everything. More Charpu soon please!! Love these series!!
IM learning so many cool tricks from you guys. Or better said understanding them. Now its time to try one at a time and master them all. 58 years old and still learning new tricks. Yea baby Thanks guys you rock !
Love the Trick series, and soooo glad to se mr Carlos back in action! Good trick this, have a really hard time with yaw tricks and this willfor sure help! Love from Sweden!
Love this trick series where we learn a lot thanks to these top pilots and nice to see Charpu back! Thanks RR team and please continue this super nice serie! ;)
Wow, a private training session with not only Charpu, but also Tommy and Steele! How awesome is that? And bravo for this new "student + trainer" format for RR.
great to see charpu again. such a funny guy!! i think we would all like episode of each pilot teaching a favourite trick. I'd like to see that rando flip Steele does too.
Great video, once again the teacher-student duo is spot on! Almost feel like I actually have gained some muscle memory of the half flip, just with the trick decomposition in this video!
Thanks for the tips. I am going to try some of those tricks. Your teaching to Ben helped me understand more. Hats off to you guys for helping new guys out. 😀👊🏻
Daggum dangit I want to meet you all. So much crap in common. Planes, "kwads", music, cars, ART! Love this series guys. I'm just taking notes till my quad is up and running. Keep it up!!
Perfectly explained at the end. Now I know where I've been going wrong, it should be schhum phshh vooom , not phssh schumm phfft shooom :D Good to see Charpu back :)
Okay, finally a serious comment from me 🙂 inverted yawspin is legit one of the top two or three toughest maneuvers, primarily because the moment you begin to yaw spin it accelerates your motors and thrusts you down to earth. I've broken many a prop trying to learn this. Just start high
It becomes muscle memory to correct for it. Up until like the past 6 months I had to think about the trick to do it. Now... It its blip pitch foward yaw 360 pitch back, in one motion.... Ps. Man these OG episodes are amazing. We need more of this these days.
That was great, welcome back charpu and great job ben you looked very calm, nicely done. And it´s obviously a german trick, charpu is right it´s a "Ja spin" :D
Great series, I like seeing the different perspectives from various pilots. Also, having a student perform is great. Maybe do more series as different styles and methods start to hit the pro scene? Anyway, love what you guys do! Got me back into RC!
A trick series episode with finalglide explaining his 180° yaws where he flys backwards at full speed would be awesome. Whenever I try my quad loses all it's speed. He does it like it's gliding on ice. Also more fly bys and 3rd person quad view would be sick. Thanks. You guys are awesome.
You guys are great! Charpu makes me smile every time! Getting back into freestyle after not doing it for years (was flying planks 😜). What was I thinking!
Pure Gold, would like to see more Charpu, don't care what he does, just more of him :D
More Charpu, please! I loved the closing segment.
He's always pure gold on the show hey :D
ya i agree that was awesome.
"grew up in this hobby"? Not to sound like a jerk, but this hobby and Charpu are only a couple years old at this point.
Good to see Charpu back in action, keep stabbing him with feathers so he becomes a regular again!
I learned something today thanks charpu. "boom boom boom boom" that totally makes sense to me. thank you sir.
One of the best Rotor Riot episodes yet! Thanks to all involved, great video guys and a big lol at the end 😂😂😂 great stuff!!
the end chit chat is gold
ummagawd loved your input mate! its soooo true lol. Yes yes Tommy! 👊👊
Please let Tommy do the dive lesson
Sebastian M - Tommy is the king of diving...to the point where his quad is actually fitted with skyscraper flippers.
Love that you guys did an instructional vid with a live student. Really adds to the accessibility of the hobby.

Charpu nos alegramos de verte de vuelta!
That last comment about how animators communicate... 100% real. And love these Trick Series ;)
I'm an amateur cartoonist/animator and also I come from a dirtbike racing background. The noise language makes the most sense at high speeds. Lol
charpu great to see you again.
Wow, a private training session with not only Charpu, but also Tommy and Steele! How awesome is that? And bravo for this new "student + trainer" format for RR.
