Thanks, very informative!! Any chance you could go over the differential oil change on the quadrunner? It appears to me that the rear diff has separate oil from the engine. There sure appears to be a filll cap..But I don't see any port to check the level.

I have an 89 model It clicks only in 4wd If I jack it up no noise only when it’s on the ground and it don’t matter if it’s straight or turning can that still be a bad axle.There is no noise with both axles out so I’m guessing the front diff gears are good Thanks
the 1987 LT-4WD is different. The front axle used on 1987 models is equipped with nonserviceable outboard and in- board universal joints.

Any information on removing the axle from a 1987 lt4wd ?
Having trouble getting the frontaxel out as in the video. it´s stuck. Any tricks? 250 quadrunner 1990.
Patience is all you need. They can be a real challenge. Make sure you are pulling straight out and not and any kind of angle. That snap ring inside has to center itself and that might take some time. Sorry you are having issues. Let me know if you can't get it. I can fly to your house and help out ; )

I have a ‘98 or so Suzuki king quad and am trying to get the front left axle out, would it be the same for mine as it would what is shown in the video or is it different?

@11:50 in your video, I am at this point but the drive shaft is not pulling out. I yanked on it several times but seems locked in. Does it float in there or is it held in by something?
I want to link this youtube video because it really helped me to get this stuck axle out. They sometimes lock in on these old quads and dont simply pull out by hand like they are supposed to. @@johnscribb6731 thank you sir, I got them out. But now the bolts holding the diff are stuck and rusted in.
