Another great, balanced and realistic review, thank you. Glad you're not like Walcom with his hatred of Ultra and most standard Nerf products. I'm thinking of getting one of the Ultra range for plinking targets in the garden with accustrike darts. I like rifle or SMG designs and the white colour scheme is great. Not sure that modding it is my thing, being all fingers and thumbs, but if the price is right, I might try. 😁
Thank you for the feedback. I don’t like to talk bad about fellow reviewers because it’s a bad look, however, I will say that some of the more well known ones want what they want. That is to say, if they don’t get what they expect and want, then automatically it’s trash garbage. I like to approach it like this…. Is it what i want: yes/no? Am i being lied to or misled? Is it trying something new and just not working? What does G-Rex think? That is how i determine whether or not the product is worth it or not.
Ultra ran into an issue that i compare it to engineers saying one thing and marketing teams twisting their words around and promising something else.
For example, “pin point accuracy” could he explained as…. “Compared to our standard darts, these are highly accurate” being what was really said.
“It could probably hit 125 feet with the right conditions” turns into “up to 125 feet”.
As for the price point complaint, Ultra Darts are more durable than their Elite counterparts. Sure, i might spend more money for 20 Ultra Darts, but if those 20 darts last me longer than the 50 Elite Darts that cost the same, am i really going to be upset?
For the record, since I’ve adopted into Ultra, I’ve modified all but 3 of the line to hit 150FPS (standard average is 100) and i’ve only broken 4 dart heads. As opposed to about 100 standard darts I’ve had to toss due to being worn out. 🤷🏻♂️
All that to say, if you have a chance to pick up a pharaoh, do so. I’m also a fan of the Scream Machine, AMP and Ultra Strike.

Yeah, sadly my next video will be a kit removal since my kid broke the bolt handle.. may as well make it a how to guide. Time to put on my scrubs and perform a transplant.
At first when I read "Pharaoh with half dart kit" I worried it would be an uncontrollable beast but it seems to be a nice platform. I like Ultra with caveats, as I was late getting an Ultra and when I did it was the Focus and Strike with Ultra Accustrikes so I missed all the "fun" of the 1 through 5. I also picked them up on discount saving 66%!

I too was late to the party with Ultra. My first was the Ultra Strike, but i went all in and collected the set (the ones available in the US).
If you haven’t rewired a Focus or AMP for LiPo yet, do it. 😃
@@SecondHandBlasters Hi again, even though I'm not a fan of the Focus' battery compartment I think rewiring it would be a bit much for my needs. I live in a high rise tower block and just "plink" around my apartment - and Mrs Tyeth would be rather mad if I started hitting our ornaments with a LiPo powered blaster!

Ultra was expensive.....and ammo was not "readily available" when it came out. That was the only real issues I saw
I was going to mention the cost factor, but the whole “Ultra is too expensive” argument from a business standpoint it makes sense. They created something new and that admittedly had a higher quality than their previous dart type; naturally it would be more expensive. Admittedly, some batches of Ultra darts were crappy (there is no excuse for that) but I’ve had a pack of Ultra darts last me a year before one dart broke. I’ve never been able to say the same about any other dart type, including my beloved Dart Zone bamboo darts.
Also, some of the people making the “it costs too much” argument are the same people who hop up and down on the Rival bandwagon when the rounds are almost equally as expensive.
