2021 has come to and end and with it we got a slew of new NERF Blasters and more from a variety of companies...most of which from NERF themselves were tie-in blasters that sucked. But not all! And I cobbeled together a list of the blasters from NERF, Dart Zone, Adventure Force, and BuzzBee that I found to be pretty cool and why I liked them. Here's hoping we see more from Ultra and Hyper that's good next year.

That target is incredible, can’t believe the price is over $600 now though really wish I had stumbled upon it sooner. There really isn’t a middle ground for targets. Great blaster review of 2021 it certainly had some of my personal favorites in the DZ MK3 and Tomahawk
the entire curve series is the literal bane of the field we play in
since most people were using milsig hpa blasters(they were lending them out) and worker swifts so everyone makes extensive use of cover and slow assault move tactics
and the balls just randomlly spike down from the sky, denying large areas of the field if you shoot at the general area long enough
God I hope that's true.
I feel like the Dart Zone Max Stryker deserves an honorable mention. I know it's basically the Target version of the Nexus Pro, but as someone who has a local Target but not a local WalMart (yes, we exist lol), the Stryker was an absolute godsend. It's the first blaster I've owned that fires half lengths and fires at 150+ FPS, and I'm never going back to what I had before.
Plus, I think it just looks cooler than the Nexus Pro.
It's prettier and I think it has more mod potential but yes it's literally a nexus pro.
The thing is, the shotgun style priming grip is a bit less efficent than the nexus priming grip. Plus the nexus has a different style, which other people may favor.

A good look back on the whole year. My absolute favorite blaster is the Boomdozer that I got for Christmas. I slapped on that stock that fires demolisher rockets for the full heavy/demo feel and it is a blast!

Honestly the only mods I've done to my DZP MK3 to make it even better was:
- Valkyrie motor for the pusher... for 8DPS Full-Auto
- OOD pusher gear arm + Haphazardlynamed pusher rod... For reliable feeding of all darts and magazines
- Bulldog flywheels... Since the serrated wheels just shredded dart bodies
With 8AAs, I'm hitting reliable Full-Auto and feeding at 160FPS! The stock cage, flywheel motors, wiring, and trigger/gearbox are just great as is!
I hate to say it but that doesn't sound worth it at all unless you just love the shell.
@@WalcomS7 I do love the shell, and even more the function! Just the full auto was not as quick as I'd hope. Likewise Talon and full length full-auto issues were too big for me to ignore. This extra $30 worth of upgrades over the next few months really tuned the MK3 to even challenge my buddies who run FLD3s and now the Phoenix 2.0~
Personally dude I wish there were more cowboy/lever action nerf blasters 🥺
most of the nerf revolvers are pepperboxes, which were surprisingly common for cowboys

Dart zone outlaw is kinda in that range
The mark 3 really seems like a decent off the shelf competitive blaster that also works as a good entry level blaster for modding, especially when you look at places like out of darts that have a lot of mods available for it already.
it's amazing to see how much he's changed in the past few years, like just watch one of his videos from like 5 years ago and he's so different

I want a magazine-fed Mega XL blaster. Yes, I am aware of the sheer improbability of that and that it will probably never happen, and I do realise that it would be the size of a toddler. It would cost as much as your left kidney(organ donors will have to sit this one out) but I would love it.
I absolutely LOVE the way the Conquest Pro looks, since I'm a sucker for unique reloading gimmicks, but I can't really buy one since I don't use dart blasters for actual wars or anything. I just fuck about in my room and handle them for the sake of handling something gun-shaped, and the Pro blasters are just far too powerful for that.

The conquest pro is definitely my favorite. I built in a flashlight that is in the place of the weird circle under the barrel. It’s the best and perfect for CQB

Doing my best. It hasn't been easy. Today for example has been really bad on the breathing.
Hottest take of the year: the Fortnite Pump SG is actually kinda fun, just way overpriced. I'd totally run one as a joke, or as a part of a "tacticool, milsim-ish" loadout. If they end up on clearance for $10-15, or if disappointed kids start donating them to Goodwill, I'll probably pick one up.
Naw for cheap I could have fun with it.
Walcom is honestly one of my favorite content creators when it comes to nerf, him and coop772 make amazing videos, I'm so glad to see that walcom doesn't let terrible blasters bring him down when it comes to making content, keep going, you amazing man

I really do agree with the conquest pro as my favorite blaster and as one of your favorites ive been frequently using it because of its amazing performance 10/10 blaster i do recommend using
The only blaster that beats it IMO is the Cheetah 2.0. Another underrated blaster.

Yess all the love for the Conquest. I kinda feel like it didn't get enough love and was overshadowed by the Nexus 2.0.
I had my phone propped up on my deck railing playing this as I was using a Conquest Pro to launch leftover rabbit food from my deck for the local squirrels, rabbits, and birds.
This year has been pretty bad for Hasbro-Nerf, that's coming from someone who only recently (within the last few years or so) renewed their interest in foam flinging. There are a few things from them, but mostly other companies are just killing them. I am looking forward to the new Rival blasters and the Rival Accustrike blue balls... oh, I can already hear the Coop772 innuendos XD
A very interesting year, as always, we hope nerf could do better next year.
The PewPew seems awesome. Also it is literally the SWISS army knife of flywheelers. Get it, because PewTech is located in Switzerland
I got a Boomdozer for half off, and I'm happy with it. I also like how loud the whistling noise out of the darts is, even if the whistler tip means I'm losing some precision.
An idea I’ve recently had is a nerf mortar system, and mega XL darts would make a great alternative to the standard rockets, especially since I can get 10 mega XD darts for the price of 4 rockets on Amazon. And they would be far more convenient for storage.

2021 is like a nerf Brand blaster, its sucks, but you still able to make It better

i'm not sure if i'd still recommend the tomahawk to anyone. I had it for a few months and thought the world of it, using it every chance I got, spending about 12 bucks on an old raider stock for it, just for the drum indexing mechanism to snap during a battle. I'm hoping someone puts out a metal version of the indexing system, but for now, it sits under my bed, broken.

This man wears a YuYu Hakusho shirt, that probably cost $30 at most while standing in front of hundreds if not thousands of dollars of nerf blasters while also owning Kamen Rider Drivers in the other backgrounds. Damn I love to see a channel grow from being on a folding white table to this.

It still amazes me that the ChronoBarrel retailed for $15 USD and yet Hasbro hasn't repurposed the internals into a higher priced blaster. Seems like a no-brainer and would have spread out development costs.
Same with Buzz Bee. They made their own version of the ChronoBarrel at the exact same time that Hasbro made their's, showed it off at the Toy Fair and we never from it again. At least Hasbro is reusing the ChronoBarrel's ammo counter in the Alien Pulse Rifle LMTD thing.

Walcom seems to be one of very few nerftubers that loves and has always loved any of the Ultra blasters. And though I might be a little biased. Since I enjoy a few of them as well. To me, it says a lot about his integrity.
This is such an underrated channel, you deserve millions of subs dude your stuff is great. Kids would love you. If only Nerf was as popular now as it was back when I was a kid.

We had a lot of fun with Max Stryker when it hit the shelves at Target! Even though it’s a lot like the nexus pro internally, we still had fun modding it!

How much do you recommend getting the mk3?
6 out of ten if you own a 150 fps flywheel, 7 out if ten if you don't, though we know Dart Zone will just make a semi auto version only in the Pro/Max line for half the price.
I feel the inclusion of the Pew-Pew would fit better into a video about the Hobby-made, Hand-crafted blasters rather than one which mostly consists of Easy-to-buy and find Blasters.

As far as the best Hammershot, have you used the Rebelle Sweet Revenge? I've always sworn by that over the Hammershot, I have like five of them. It's more sleek, easier to shove in a pocket if you don't have a holster. And I personally loved the paint job.

My Conquest pro had to be returned, it would jam every 2 or 3 darts. The design of the blaster meant I would have to take it apart to unjam it quite often.
the downwards curved shot of the sideswipe is basically enabling mortar mode on your blaster.
K think the selects mag problem(shaking changes the mag) could be easily fixable without any mods or changes to the gun, just hold the pump back or forward kinda hard
I couldn't get my sideswipe to screw the priming bar into the side I wanted then I had priming issues with it all the time. Another member in our club at similar issues. Much bigger fan of the other two curves.
I'm not mechanic by any means, but I thought of a really cool idea to have an ammo counter built into the site. Instead of having it by number, it can be on a ring that surrounds the site, segmented say 20 or 30 pieces and as each start fires and passes through, one of them turns from red to clear or shuts off the light basically. That way you know that you're out of ammo without looking away from the site, because you no longer have that red LED ring around your side while looking. But I'm sure this would take a lot of testing and cause some possible I issues with so many LEDs in a closed space for your eyes, it's the kind of thing I could see working in a video game but maybe something like it can be done in real life too.
Thats what Drac said the mag swap doesn't work well. He said it was really bad though (top worst ) But I share your opinion it looks cool and it would be awesome if someone would mod it to shoot half lengths.
It'd be really simple for a modder to fix it.

Hay walcom great vid as usual. I know your a busy guy with lots of projects on the go but if you ever find time to do more load out videos I’d love to see them. You could talk about what mods suit what game types and give people suggestions that can fit within different budgets.
I’m doing a custom mod on my sling fire. I’m building a custom wooden walnut stick for it, and then I’m installing metal internals, an upgraded spring, and a short dart conversion kit.
All I want in 2022 is just a half length dart mod for the Mediator. No real reason tbh, just really like the Mediator
I'm actually on board with this. This is something I'm going to look at.
the 6-sh looks pretty good if you put the barrel on, then unscrew the barrel
I like the sideswipes sharp aim, but it lacks the longer gameplay of the HELIX WHICH EASILY HOLDS 40 ROUNDS.
But the Helix doesn't really work well. I explain it in an upcoming video.
@@WalcomS7 OK, my Helix is just as accurate stock as my Sideswipe, but the latter has feeding issues sometime with the weak internal mag spring
I grabbed one of those fornite hammer shots just to have because it looked like a fun blaster to hold. I wasn't only fun to hold. But it was the most fun to shoot too! It's been my goto target shooter when I have 10 minutes to just shoot a little. It's fun and satisfying. What more could you want.
I actually bought it when I grabbed the conquest pro on a whim. I couldnt agree more with everything you've said about it is well. What a fun and unique blaster.

On the aeon and nexus pro the priming handles are loose for the first couple of inches and that is so you cab remove full soze mags

The dart zone pro mk2 deserves to be in honorable mentions. I know it’s like a year or 2 years old but it was an awesome blaster by dart zone themselves
I like the Curve Flex better than the Sideswipe. Its slower to fire since it has no on board capacity, sure. But its smaller and lighter, it has ample on board ammo storage for a single shot pistol, and the biggest point for me is that it has a sling mount; so i can throw on a carabiner on my hip until i want it

It's ashame that the Helix couldn't deliver the greatness of the Curveshot in your favour, but it works on other people.
I'm not fully a part of the hobby since in my country blasters are almost always a 100 bucks (Brazil) so it's too expensive for the to be part on, but my favorite has to be the Worker Swift, because I'm still hoping for the day we get a sniper rifle with a 6x scope that can actually fling foam in such range, I know it's crazy, but a man can dream, and so far the worker swift is the one looking most appealing to me, and work-ing the most appealing, lol
Might have to break the laws of physics for that to be a thing.

I would say the swift is my most favorite blaster this year despite the price tag
I would really like to see what out of darts has in terms of modding for the conquest pro. It seems like a blaster you could really get to hit harder and shoot flatter with some modding. Please do more videos like this where you show how much you can mod a certain blaster. I really think that would help you compete with guys like Coop772 who don’t even touch aspects like modding capabilities or how you can easily improve your blaster’s performance without doing much modding at all.
I really wish this had the magazine load from the front instead of the back for modding reason.
