The points for the WCC would've been 43 no matter which driver was first and the 7 point difference was absolutely insignificant given a 40-point lead for Lewis in the WDC. It was a dick move by Toto.

Kinda like people already pointed out, yeah it sucks that they didnt let Valtteri finish first, but its only for the best. Valtteri doesnt gain much by finishing 1st however those 7 points for finishing first could make a huge difference for Lewis. So it’s only logical.

Toto you screwed up! A few points are not worth this humiliation of the racers. Hamilton was not happy with such a victory, and Bottas was completely crushed. With such an attitude will come a point when the ordes from the boxes will be ignored as in the days of Rosberg.
I'm a Hamilton fan and I don't like it, either. I was almost hoping that Lewis would go against the team at the end of the race to give Bottas P1. But on the other hand, it's ruthless decisions like this that gave Schumacher his 7 championships.

To be comfortable in the championship, Lewis needs more than 125 points difference because anything can happen and they need to secure the championship.

It seems that every time Bottas has a chance of winning this year, he seems to fall victim to bad luck or team orders, who doesn't feel sorry for Valtteri this season?
Yes I do - to a degree. He was very unlucky today and in Baku, but generally this season Hamilton has simply outpaced and outraced him. How many times other than today has he fallen victim to team orders - I bet it's far less often than say, Schumacher and Barrichello? Mercedes have generally been pretty spare with team orders over the years compared to Ferrari, they certainly didn't apply much during the Hamilton v Rosberg years. But yes, I do feel sorry for Bottas a bit this season :)
