Rok Avšič i used to hate sirotkin because he payed to get a seat and he took kubica's place but honestly he has some potential learns fast avoids mistakes and performs better every race even with that shitty car and most importantly doesn't cry and complain about the car like stroll and just tries to do his job as best as he can so i have to admit i was wrong about this guy

Perez was fuming the whole time when he was behind Sirotkin. First at his team for putting him there and then at Sirotkin because he thought Sirotkin needs to go out of Perez's way. Hitting a car on purpose, Baku 2017, needs a bigger penalty.

I have been watching Lewis since his days in McLaren. Lewis has been on different level this year with Ferrari on his sight. His timing to defend and attack are impeccable. He is fiery ice cold at the level that he hasn't been in. Yes, he's got a great car and awesome race team, but to be able to put it together like that at qualifying was WOW.

Just a fantastic drive. Put any of the six drivers ahead of him in the McLaren today and I'll wager they couldn't have bettered (nor possibly matched) his 7th place finish.
He started 11th, a good place to start the race meaning he didnt have to start on the ultras, and who started behind him in 12th? the bloke who finished in 8th.
@@Glenn7719 Yes. Ocon got knocked out of the race, and Perez, Grosjean and Hulkenberg got poor strategies which left them stuck in traffic. Those are the four positions that got him to P7. He didn't actually do anything amazing

This weekend proved me a few things.
1. As a neutral fan, Ferrari's strategists are absolutely stupid.
2. As a track that shows skill, you could clearly see who are the better drivers in F1. Hamilton, Verstappen, Vettel, Alonso and LeClerc.
3. Bottas needs to be replaced asap. I knew Hamilton was like 4 tenths faster then Bottas but it just gets worse and worse. There is something wrong. It is actually becoming a joke to see him drive that mercedes. Now I know Hamilton is fast, but when Rosberg was still at Mercedes, he could actually challenge Hamilton in qualifying and races. I have not seen Bottas do that at all. Kimi and Ricciardo were both faster today aswell but could not get by due to the layout of the track and the loss of downforce when getting to close.
4. F1 really needs those new regulations. The race was pretty boring after the first lap. Cars need to be able to overtake when close to another car. This is like watching a train go by.
5. Ocon needs an F1 seat for next year. Yes he crashed today thanks to Perez, but he clearly deserves to be in F1. Good talent that should be in F1.

I can't ignore the fact that Bottas hasn't performed as well as last year but let's remember all the incidences he's been involved with this season. He lost 2 wins I think from either debris on the track or fuck ups of other drivers.
To this day I still think Bottas is the unluckiest driver of this season along with Kimi
Mohammed Ali Yes I sure do agree. He has been unlucky, but on overall pace he is lacking. Pure race pace. Results are shown in qualifying and pure race pace which he can't seem to find this year. I don't dislike Bottas at all or anything, it is just that I am dissapointed in the way he is performing overall in a Mercedes.

But after Germany Bottas has been shit.
Hungary = crashed to vettel and ricciardo
Belgium = was 4th okay, but crashed into Sirotkin in first lap
Monza = lucky podium when Seb and Ham collied in the first lap
Singapore = nowhere near Hamilton's pace
So he had some bad luck in first half of the season but now he can't blame bad luck anymore. Bottas seriously needs to get better results.

The Legend 30 I think he definitely proved his worth with his ability to defend in that dog of a car. But, he was way too overzealous with Grosjean and the others. That move on Hartley was awful. I think he’s still better than Stroll though.

I think too many people give Vettel a hard time, but boy oh boy, if Vettel had not messed up that corner in the German GP, Hamilton would have 7 points less and Vettel 25 points more. This is driving me crazy.

What an amazing driver Lewis Hamilton is! Right from his 'magical' qualifying lap to his awareness to back off when Grosjean & Sirotkin were battling it out while still defending Verstappen all along. Absolute masterclass!
As for Sebastian Vettel, this has been a forgettable season thanks to Ferrari's failed strategies and his own tendency to crack under pressure.
If this continues, next year should be worse since he'll have an added pressure of racing alongside a young-blood-desperate-to-prove-his-worth : Leclerc!

When Hamilton put that lap down I had to get up and look at the TV to make sure I was seeing what I saw. That was freaking amazing!
I refer to this lap every time some people complain that Lewis has no talent and its all as about the car. Ferrari has the supposed fastest car but can't seem to make it work - is it driver or strategy who knows but they disappointed the hell out of fans like me who were expecting strong competition/challenge for Lewis/Mercedes.
As a Ferrari fan I'm going to call it. Vettel has lost this year's championship. Ferrari doesn't know how to make a good strategy call and screws him every race. He has to literally manage the team and race on top of that. That is why he is always stressed and snaps under pressure just enough for Mercedes to pick up the pieces. Unless we get a good pitwall, I'm afraid not a single driver can win us the championship again.
Edit: Now i realise the difference. Michael, Ross and Todt knew how to win a championship with master strokes all the time

Xavier There's next to no chance that he would be disqualified for the incident with Ocon. They tend to cut the drivers some slack on the opening lap when the car is full of fuel and the brakes and tyres are cold. Plus, he used the excuse that he didn't see Ocon and he got away with it. However, with Sirotkin, it should have made the stewards look at the Ocon incident again and question that in the context of this latest contact. If he can't see cars that are alongside him then he's a danger to other drivers.
The drive-through penalty was far too lenient.
At least no Ferrari sandwich at turn one but we have Perez and Ocon hammering each other once again 😆

This race definitely showed that Sergio Perez doesn't deserve a seat in F1 anymore. He firstly crashes into his own teammate recklessly, citing Grosjean squeezed him, even though he was nowhere near. Then, he smashes into the side of Sergey Sirotkin essentially ending his own race. This was a horrendous race which exposed Perez massively and shows that if there is only 1 seat at Force India left, it should go to Ocon.

When did you start watching F1? Or did you just miss that race? One of the most memorable moments in recent times, yet you somehow can't recall it? I call bias.
Looking back at some of these races a few years ago, every time Lewis take off into a clear lead someone crashes at the back to bring out the safety car like almost planned so they get a race restart.
People accuse Lewis of only winning because of the car but he tells us the real reason after every win. He may the 2nd best car but he has the No.1 team. During the the post-race press conference he said it was the teamwork in the garage, at the factory and on the pit wall that is making the difference and yes, sorry Hamilton haters, that includes Hamilton himself because he's the one behind the wheel.
To be GREAT man, he must proof him-self racing against THE BEST TOUGH one. Who is Hamilton rival?

mercedes has a stronger engine, red bull is stronger on corners. signapore has lots of corners, especially slow corners. they re kind of equally strong on this track in the end.

Theory was that he had track position and Verstappen couldnt pass him. But he managed to jump Vettel even with that crappy pit stop.
The undercut isnt working on low wear tracks that early in the race. Seems ferrari cant figure out the optimal tyre.
